Haben Sie den Sound von einem Strom von jedem offenen Fenster im Haus lieben? Verbringen Sie Ihren Aufenthalt in unserem ruhigen, sauberen Kurzurlaub! Wir lieben es und wissen, dass Sie (und Ihre Kinder oder Enkel) auch.

Es ist ein 1200 Quadratfuß Rückzug, und wurde detailliert, um Ihren Aufenthalt angenehm und unvergesslich.

Das Haus selbst verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Badezimmer und ein Wohnzimmer mit zwei Futons - alle in Höhe von insgesamt zwei Queen-Size-Betten, zwei große Betten und zwei Einzelbetten. Die Küche ist komplett für jede Mahlzeit, frisch gemahlenen Kaffee, eine Après-Ski-Genuss oder Familie Grill. Der Küchentisch sitzt sechs, mit Platz für drei weitere an der Theke. Das Haus liegt auf mehr als ein Morgen, der sich um kurze oder lange Spaziergänge eignet, genießen die Strom (das ganze Jahr über läuft, und ist nur wenige Meter vom Haus entfernt), riechen die frische Bergluft, draußen zu sitzen und ein Buch lesen - oder, wenn Sie einige Kunstwerk!

Die nahe gelegene Stadt Salida bietet viele Aktivitäten: Kunstgalerien in Hülle und Fülle, Innen heißen Quellen Pool, Bowling, Brüterei, Seen, Radfahren, Wandern, Fliegenfischen, Wildwasser-Rafting, Weinkellerei, Theater, Restaurants, Pubs, Sommer und Urlaub Veranstaltungen, zu Pferd Reiten, Go-Kart, Reiten, Schneeschuhwandern, Schneemobil fahren. . . . Haben all das - und dann - zurück zu unserem Versteck kommen und beobachten Wildtiere haben ein Glas Wein am Bach, zu spielen oder Hufeisen badmitten, ein Buch lesen, ein paar Fotos, einen Film sehen, kochen, ein Fest, zu hören um Musik und schlafen, um den Klang der Cherry Creek direkt vor dem Fenster. Wir haben Bücher, Filme, Sat-TV, DVD-und VCR Kapazität.

Dies ist ein ganzjährig Spielplatz! Sommer-Wanderungen, Wintermondschein Schneeschuhwandern (Schneeschuhen drei zur Verfügung gestellt), Pilzsuche, und im Herbst Farbfotografie. Es ist nie eine schlechte Zeit für einen Besuch.

Für Eltern und Großeltern: Wissen, dass es Bücher, Spielzeug und Spiele, ein Pack-n-play mit Krippe Blätter, Bad Trittleiter und Sitzerhöhung für wenig!

Christmas Getaway

My family decided to go somewhere with snow for Christmas. This was the perfect spot. Glad we chose this area of Colorado because it wasn’t as crowded. The cabin is great. Family of 4 and there is plenty of room and sleeping arraignments. We enjoyed snow mobiles and tubing at Monarch Mountain. We did go find the hot springs one day. Mostly my girls enjoyed playing the Simpson’s clue game at the cabin. Tanya was easy to get ahold of for any questions. I can only imagine how perfect it is in the summer with the windows open and stream right there. Thanks for the great memories.

Friends and family fishing trip

Each member of our group commented on how clean the property was when we arrived. It was a perfect location to easily get to wherever we wanted while feeling secluded at the same time. Sitting on the deck and listening to the water in the creek was relaxing and peaceful.

Beautiful getaway

This was a fantastic home away from home! The location was magical along side the creek, the owner was helpful and friendly, and the home itself was comfortable and so awesome! Make sure to do a day trip to Salida which is a beautiful artsy town!

A Hidden Gem in Howard

We decided to rent the cabin while visiting family in Howard. The owner had everything you need, a full kitchen, bath and bedroom linens, available games, books, and a CD collection. My children had the best time playing around the stream while my husband and I relaxed on the deck. The spot is absolutely perfect and just exudes relaxation. The owner was extremely attentive, calling the week before arrival to answer any questions and then again on the night of check in to make sure everything was satisfactory. She actually called one time during our stay to let us know the northern lights would be visible if we were interested. You can’t get kinder than that!! She also stated during our first conversation that if we didn’t want her to, she wouldn’t call at all. I cannot recommend the Kriss Cabin enough. It was the perfect choice for us to unwind after busy days of sightseeing. Please note, this is a cabin on a mountain surrounded by trees with a beautiful creek. You will not have Mountain views. We knew that and were happy to be tucked away with the sound of birds and the creek right in the middle of nature.

Kriss Cabin

If you need some place to relax and take in nature this is the place! The property is beautiful and so relaxing and the sound of the stream is awesome! This is for sure the most calming and peaceful place we have stayed! The hostess is awesome and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed and so accommodating to us. If you need a break for yourself or family this is it!!!!!!❤️. Can’t wait for us to come back!

A little piece of paradise...

What a neat property! My husband and i came with our teenaged daughter and one of her friends tp go whitewater rafting and just spend some "mountain time." This was the perfect spot. It truly felt like a family cabin. We loved coffee in the morning outside (me), exploring the creek (the girls), and listening to the fabulous CD collection (hubby). We'll definitely be back!

Great mom and daughter get away!

We loved our time at the Kriss cabin although it wasn't long enough! The cabin was so clean and stocked with all the right items, The stream out front was just dreamy! The beds were comfortable and the large living room was filled with natural light. The host couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Epic Mountain Escape

We absolutely had the BEST family vacation at this amazing mountain getaway! If you’re looking for a cabin that’s secluded and off the beaten path, this is the cabin for you! It’s tucked away in the woods! It has a creek that runs year round, and lots of room to roam and play! It’s just a short drive to the Arkansas river where we caught spotted trout! It’s close to Monarch Mountain for all kinds of fun snow activities for you to enjoy! Salida has a great hot springs that we enjoyed! Frantz Lake is close and we caught at least a dozen rainbow trout there! Tanya is the sweetest! She cared deeply about our stay, trying to make it the best experience possible for us! I can’t say enough good things about her! We will definitely be back to stay again, and would highly recommend this cabin❣️

Wish I could have stayed longer!

We had a great time at this cabin! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook meals. The shower provided enough hot water for each family member to shower in the mornings. I loved that there were a few dvds to pick from and a piano to play. The only downside was not having an outdoor firepit to use, but it is understandable why this is not allowed. We would definitely book this location again.

Quiet get away

A Little Piece of Paradise

A Little Piece of Paradise is how my husband, Mike referred to the Kriss Family Cabin. We stayed for 5 nights in August 2023 celebrating our 37th Anniversary. The cabin was so clean, comfortable and peaceful. Everything that you would need besides your groceries were provided. We looked forward to hearing the sound of the stream every day. Tanya is an amazing host and kept in touch with us the whole time and we were able to contact her anytime. We had absolutely no issues at all during our stay. We highly recommend the Kriss Cabin for your stay, less than 30 minutes from Salida, Colorado, where there is plenty to do. But we enjoyed just relaxing at the cabin the most. Beautiful spot!

This was a lovely little cabin on a creek! Really picturesque and the noise from the creek was comforting and relaxing. We adored the main living room where we all hung out and played games in the evening. Finding it wasn’t too hard as long as we followed the owner’s directions. We loved Salida which is about a half hour away. My favorite part was the awesome CD collection. My husband and I had a blast with those. Will definitely recommend and go again if we’re out that way again!

A perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. This was by far the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed! And it was just wonderful hanging out and listening to the sound of the river. The property is very private and quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked, too, which made eating in a treat, and we enjoyed dinner on the deck several nights. Tanya is a lovely hostess and was great at communicating. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Tanya, for sharing your amazing property with us!

Cabin in the Woods

All of the comforts of home - great shower, comfortable beds, w/d, dishwasher in a peaceful forest locale - babbling brook which could hear from open bedroom window with which my 8 y/o grandson was enthralled - wood burning fireplace - near artsy Colorado mountain town with great fishing lakes and canoeing on Arkansas River within 5 miles. Owner communication was excellent. Highly recommend this cabin.

Immaculate Cabin on a Stream

This cabin was the perfect location for our family getaway. The cabin was spotless, fully stocked kitchen, linens, washer dryer combo, TVs, DVDs, books, & games - Plus 2 fireplaces & a piano. All you need is food & personal belongings. A lot of windows in the living room. Owner had the cabin ready early & called us immediately if we had any questions. Super nice & super friendly owner. This is not a tourist area but was the perfect hub to crash after a day of ATV riding. We hope to come back again….

Family weekend

The cabin was a great place to stay. The living room was my favorite with all the windows. I loved sitting there or out on the deck. My grandkids loved exploring around the creek We played games and watched movies. The cabin is very clean. There is a lot to do in the area. We went to the sand dunes and alligator farm one day. The second day drove to Monarch went hiking and fishing. Then to Salida for the hot springs pool. The Boathouse is my favorite restaurant in Salida. Thank you Tanya.

Awesome Family Vacation at Kriss Cabin

We had such a great time at Kriss Cabin! It is in a beautiful area off the beaten path but still close to the rafting and hiking we enjoyed during our trip. Tanya is super - she was in touch ahead of time and when we arrived with information, directions, and recommendations. The cabin is well stocked and ended up being an ideal “home away from home” for us - highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Peaceful hideaway

Loved this peaceful hideaway in the mountains. The creek along side is right by the cabin so you can hear the water passing through the rocks while your Laying in bed or just sitting in the living room. Lots of games for the kiddos; DVD players and lots of movies . My personal favorite was the CD player with over 50 CDs to choose from. We would definitely recommend this cabin for your family! The owner is very attentive and awesome to communicate with.

I live in the Denver area, and love bringing my two children up to the cabin for weekend getaways. We use the cabin whenever we get a chance, but we also enjoy sharing it with other families! Through the years of renting out my cabin, I have met some really great people, and have "seen" families make some wonderful memories. There are many repeat guests who have made this special place a part of their family history.

The entire area offers an unlimited number of activities for couples, families, friends, and individuals. The views, the fresh air, the mountain smells, the rushing stream... how can you even narrow down the best part? As a family, we have had a number of unforgettable experiences -- from the white water rafting and ziplining to quiet family movie nights and night hikes. This area is hands down our favorite place to be... we plan our trips to the cabin as frequently as our schedule will allow... and we always have a difficult time leaving.

One of the best things about this cabin is the water! The stream and the sound of running water is truly relaxing. The house is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for the many activities the Salida area has to offer. It is perfect for a family, an adventurer, a fisher, a hiker, a cook, a napper, a cyclist, an artist, or a reader. Salida is a slice of heaven, and we know anyone who spends any time there would agree!
