The swanky 16th Arr. boasts elegant residential neighborhoods with stately old houses and beautiful art-deco buildings, fine restaurants, world-class museums (both big and small), famous stadiums and leafy parks. It is also home to foreign embassies and renowned museums, including the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Palais de Tokyo with its contemporary art.
From larger institutions such as the Modern Art Museum of the City of Paris to smaller ones like the Marmottan-Monet Museum and Musee Baccarat, there's plenty in store here for arts and culture aficionados.
Looking for family-friendly activities? Head to the Bois de Boulogne for its boating lakes and kids' theme park.
If you want to see how well-off Parisians live, it's worth a Metro ride to Passy. You'll be rewarded with an enclave of narrow streets with some of the best luxury food shopping in Paris as well as the Maison de Balzac, a house museum where the novelist once lived.
Enjoy! :)
