Willkommen in der Lodge in Serene Lakes. Ruhig. Sicher. Weg von der Hektik ... aber nur ein paar Minuten bergauf von den Restaurants und Geschäften von Truckee. Beobachten Sie den Schneefall, braten Sie Marshmallows und genießen Sie einen heißen Wirbel, der in weiche Woll- oder Sherpa-Decken gehüllt ist und um eine Feuerstelle auf dem größten überdachten Deck in Serene Lakes sitzt. Gemütliches BBQ auf einem neuen Weber auf dem überdachten Seitendeck.

Gehen Sie zwei Blocks bis zur Royal Gorge, dem größten XC-Skiort in Nordamerika. 5 Minuten. nach Soda Springs; 8 min. zur Donner Ski Ranch; 8 min. zur Sugar Bowl Gondola; 10 Minuten. Nach Boreal.

Eine gut ausgestattete Küche bietet neue Teller, Tassen und Gläser. eine neue 8 qt. Schmortopf; neues Instapot; neue Kaffeemaschine; neuer Toaster; neue antihaftbeschichtete Töpfe und Pfannen; eine neue elektrische Jennair-Reihe; und neue Mikrowelle.

Die Lodge verfügt über zwei Master mit neuen King-Matratzen, von denen jede über eine automatische Kopfliftfunktion verfügt. Kuscheln Sie sich in neue hypoallergische Primaloft-Bettdecken. Die Kinder werden ihre Kojen mit den gleichen Primaloft-Bettdecken genießen. Badezimmer mit Dusche im Erdgeschoss, serviert ein König Meister. Ein weiteres Vollbad mit Badewanne und Dusche befindet sich im dritten Stock und dient dem Schlafraum und Obermeister, der eine eigene kleine private Überdachung bietet
Deck.

Ein neuer 55-Zoll-4K-Internet-Streaming-TV lädt zum Après-Ski-Genießen ein. Hulu und Netflix bieten viele Optionen, und Hulu Live bietet Zugriff auf Live-Sport, Nachrichten und Rundfunknetze. WLAN ist in der gesamten Lodge für alle Gäste verfügbar.

Ski- und Schuhschränke mit Kleiderbügeln für Mäntel und Hüte umgeben einen großzügigen Eingangsraum im Erdgeschoss.

Die Waschmaschine und der Trockner in voller Größe befinden sich ebenfalls im Erdgeschoss, mit einer dritten Dusche und einer dritten Toilette neben dem, was wir als „Bonusraum“ bezeichnen, mit einem Queen-Versteck und vielen Brettspielen und Rätseln für die Kinder.

Annual XC Ski Weeks

We come back to the Lodge every winter for a couple of weeks, so obviously we love it. We make fires in the wood stove every day, enjoy cooking in the open kitchen space, and cuddle in front of the TV at night. The hosts are exceptionally helpful.

Charming, dialed-in cottage with personal touches

The cabin was beautiful to start and then enhanced with flowers, poinsettias, and xmas decorations. The host is properly proud of their cabin and very welcoming. It is particularly well-located for cross-country skiing at Royal Gorge.

Family Gathering

The Lodge is a perfect location for anyone wanting to stay in Serene Lakes and have a fantastic experience. Close enough to everything and yet far enough to provide the piece and quiet you want. We spent time on the deck at night with the firepit ablaze sharing stories into the wee hours of the night making more family memories. Would definitely return for another extended weekend.

We beat the heat

We left Phoenix at 110 plus and spent a week in beautiful Lake Tahoe/Soda Springs. Our hosts were fantastic and their home was perfect and fit our needs exactly. This is the fourth year in Serene Lakes and this was the nicest location so far. We hope to be able to stay again.

Serene 4th of July

This is the second time we have stayed and it was perfect (again). The house is well stocked, comfortable, and kid friendly. The deck is definitely the highlight!! Serene Lakes is a great place for families in the summer. Michael was incredibly responsive and helpful!

Perfection!

Serene Lakes is one of our favorites places to visit on the planet as it holds many special memories for us. Cary and Michael's "Lodge" is just as described - beautifully decorated, super comfortable and well-equipped for living and enjoying, and within walking distance to Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Area. Their main living area deck is THE best - easily accessible, covered and sheltered from the weather, toddler friendly (!), and peaceful...the fireplace table and the two industrial patio heaters + blankets (!) make it a dreamy place to hang out. and most importantly, Cary and Michael are very responsive and friendly if questions arise! Fully recommend!

Lovely Winter Wonderland

Our family of 8 loved this cozy home in the mountains. During our stay the area got 24 inches of snow and we still found plenty of opportunity to play outside, lounge around the fire and even made s'mores around the outdoor firepit. The home had everything and more (including the holiday decorations!!). We are definitely planning a return trip.

Peaceful retreat

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. The home is clean, comfortable and the perfect escape from day to day life. There were nearby trails we took advantage of and the lakes were beautiful. We would definitely return here!!

The Lodge offers a great getaway

We enjoyed an adult family vacation at The Lodge. A nicely appointed and very comfortable home. We loved the deck for lounging, dining and playing board games. We made full use of all the great sporting equipment listed. A bit of a walk to the lake if you want to just pop down for a swim, but if you are going to stay at the beach for a few hours it doesn’t matter. There are fans in the bedrooms to help during the hotter summer nights so we were able to sleep fine. Great hiking near by. Lots of lakes in the vicinity. The owner/ manager was readily accessible to address any questions or issues. I recommend this property.

Home away from home

We had a wonderful stay! Everything about the home is lovely,clean,very comfortable, and thoughfully amenitized down to the details. The covered deck with gas firetable, adirondack chairs,and deck heaters is a huge bonus. So many extras here. The hosts were super responsive, helpful, and gracious. This place is a 10 out of 10.

We'll be back!

This cabin is very well equipped for anyone to stay. Families have everything they need from books, high chairs, pack and play. The time and efforts of the hosts to set the cabin up for arrival is wonderful. Not only were we left everything for smores but also a very sweet note from the host. They are dog friendly and even offer their extras if you forgot something! The neighborhood has many stations for doggy bags which is really helpful. It's so peaceful and a nice getaway. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place!

Lovely family trip

Michael is a great host! He was so attentive and caring. We never traveled to a snow before so I had some concerns due to the storms. He checked in with me a few weeks before and confirmed with me a day before that the trip was safe for me and for my family. Once we arrived, he gave us clear instructions of how to park ( we needed to put on chains on the tires) We enjoyed the house so the kids. It’s a cozy nice getaway family vacation home. Highly recommend it!

Perfect Getaway

This was such a great place to stay. The home was easy to find, super clean and very comfortable for the three of us and our two little pups. Michael and Cary have setup a beautiful home with everything you need. I loved the afternoon on the deck with the firepit, making the complimentary smores kit they provided. Definitely a must rent if you are looking for a great place to stay in Serene.

Lodge owners are Michael and Cary. We are two retired public school teachers/administrators. The Lodge is a dream come true for us, a get-away relatively close to our Nevada City home, but in a “different world” at 7,000 feet. We have two grown daughters and four grandchildren who we hope will build wonderful memories at The Lodge.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Two summers ago, driving home from a frustrating weekend at Tahoe tainted by high winds and waves on the lake, loud music blaring at Commons Beach, and an inability to get into any choice restaurants, we turned off Highway 80 and toured Serene Lakes. It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Friendly people walking their dogs waved, “Hello”. Just two families shared the sand beach at Serena Lake. It was a “Field of Dreams” moment: “ Is this heaven?” It was love at first site. We worked with our realtor for months, looking at several places: too small, too large/expensive, needs a lot of work. This place was “just right”, but possible for us only if we were willing to share it.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

We love all the oak inside The Lodge. Comfortable seating for eight in the main living room complements the number of beds. We love the attention to detail in the building outside and inside. But, for us, it’s all about the huge covered deck—protected on three sides, with the deck in front large enough to comfortably accommodate a large dining table, a small comfy seating area, and a large area with six oversized cedar chairs around a fire pit. It’s a two-block walk up the hill to Royal Gorge. The local sled hill is two blocks down. It’s a short bike ride to the swimming lake. Miles of trails surround The Lodge. Bluff Drive is quiet. Neighbors, when they are around, are very nice. There’s no place like it.
