Wamplers Lake ist ein sportlicher, aber ruhiger See in den Irish Hills, der das ganze Jahr über zum Angeln einlädt und Gastgeber des jährlichen Midwest Open Ice Fishing Tournament ist.

Unser Seegrundstück umfasst einen Hinterhof, einen Vorgarten mit Terrasse und elektrischer Markise sowie einen zusätzlichen Vorgarten und einen Ufermauer bis zum Rand des Wassers.

Der Lakeshore Drive ist eine ruhige Privatstraße mit mehr Fußgängern als Fahrzeugen. Morgenläufer und Jogger genießen die schöne Aussicht und die Ruhe des Lakeshore Drive.

Unser Haus am See verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer auf der Hauptebene sowie zwei weitere Schlafzimmer und ein WC im Obergeschoss. Die Hauptebene wird für die Wärmeerzeugung genutzt, und im Obergeschoss stehen zwei effiziente Raumheizgeräte zur Verfügung. Die Hauptebene verfügt über ein großes, offenes Raumkonzept, das eine voll ausgestattete Küche, ein Wohnzimmer und ein Esszimmer umfasst. Gleich neben dem Wohnzimmer befindet sich ein beheiztes Vier-Jahreszeiten-Zimmer mit herrlichem Blick auf den See.

Das Haus verfügt über eine private Auffahrt mit Vorder- und Hintertüren.

In der Nebensaison wird das Dock leider entfernt.

Great Stay!

The Fun House

We had such a great time, we nicknamed this property “The Fun House!” The location is fantastic, the lake is beautiful, and the accommodations are top notch. If you enjoy just hanging out by the water and relaxing, this is the place. If you enjoy water sports and activity, this is the place. Something for everyone, for sure!

Relaxing week on Whamplers lake

Wonderful place on Whamplers lake. We were able to take our boat and keep it right at the dock in front of the house. The home is cute and was well stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Just what the doctor ordered

We stayed here to go to the race track for the Christmas lights. This is a very nice place, it is only a short drive to the race track. Loved the open concept. The place was clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the view of the lake from the front porch. The owner was always ready to help with just a text away. I can't wait until we can redo our stay. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

The Lake House was very clean, stocked, and well maintained. Everything you can possibly need is available from towels, first aid kit, laundry soaps, kitchen appliances, basic kitchen supplies, and some inputs about the local areas that you can get food from, explore and enjoy. We didn’t get to use any water toys because we have other plans but there’s a lot of board games, coloring materials, and paddle boat available for us to use. The Wi-Fi and cable connections were good, and the house is equipped with Alexa speaker, wireless chargers, multiple ceiling fans around, humidifiers, AC and heaters. There’s also an automatic awning for the front porch of the house. One thing I did not like was the bathroom situation. You have 3 bedrooms in the house, 2 were located upstairs with toilet, 1 bedroom downstairs and 1 full bathroom with a tiny shower. The shower is too small and it’s very hard to take a shower. Also, the water smells funky and you need to let it run for a little while to get rid of the funky smell. Our overall experience at the lake house was very good and we’re very happy with our stay. We’ll be back!

Pet Friendly & Clean Location

This was a cute, clean place that was comfortable for two couples, kids and dogs. The upstairs bath is a very small half bath and the downstairs bathroom is clean and comfortable but there is no bathtub, so it may be inconvenient if you have very small children. The homeowner has thought of everything to make sure you have all conveniences of home!

Clean & cozy getaway

Solid stay on so many levels: owner was friendly, helpful and responsive, place was so cute - awesome attention to details that made it feel so nice & cozy, my friends and I loved it! From the design details to having just about everything we wanted or needed. Beds were comfortable. Easily cooked and had pretty much what we needed. Shed full of fun stuff like paddles, bikes. Lake was beautiful and peaceful, highly recommend!

We are a family of born and raised Michiganders. Though we moved away to Kansas City some years ago, we purchased this lake house for the nostalgic Irish Hills lake-life getaways.

This lake house received a much overdue facelift and update, but it still has the rustic charm of its era and country lake life. First floor master bedroom and full bathroom are great for those with mobility limitations. Four-seasons room with lake views is perfect for relaxing year round.

Wamplers Lake is so quiet and peaceful, it's hard to believe it's all-sport. It's a fisherman's dream! Lakeshore Drive is a mile long and follows the northeast shoreline, and we're smack dab in the middle at the half-mile mark. It's very popular for easy strolls, morning jogs, and cycling.
