Steep price for what you get

To start with the good things: the venue is actually nice with a beautifull surrounding and view on Sóller. The pool was also quite big with clean water. However, the big catch for us was: it is not on the location we expected. It is on Camri de Abril but on a small side road. To get to Fornalutx you need ac. 15 minutes by foot, partially on the main raod and with a steep rise on the way back. The location VRBO shows before booking is not the correct one. I only found the correct location in the mobile app (unfortunately too late). This seems to be mostly VRBO´s and not the owner´s fault, but still ... Also cleanliness and maintenance was not acceptable for his price: we had to clean alomost every kitchen item ourselves before using. Two lamps in the house were broken and most of the lights in the garden. The owners wrote they would come fix this, but we never heard of them again until check out. I would not mind any of this in a normal priced rental, but for ca. 2k Euros per week I expect more cleanliness, better service and maintenance. I would not book this again.

Befriedigend

Plus: Lage, schönes Haus, großes Grundstück, Schöner Pool, Aussicht. Minus: Mäßig ausgestattete Küche mit Espressotassen aber ohne Maschine oder Kanne, keine Spülmaschinentabs, Müllsäcke, Spülschwamm etc,, Fernseher in der Größe eines PC Monitors, nur uralte (mit Kassettenrekorder) einfache Minianlage, mäßig gepflegter Garten, Poolreinigung nur auf telefonische Bitte, keine Spiele, DVD, Musik CD, kein Infomaterial für Mallorca. Insgesamt lieblos gemacht. Wir kennen das anders von anderen Objekten.

Beautiful villa with pool!

We had a brilliant stay at this beautiful villa. It was clean with good beds and good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Air conditioning in main living space and 2 of the bedrooms, and fan in third bedroom. Stunning pool area with views of the village and mountains. Excellent mini supermarket in Fornalutx with pretty much everything you might need. Fornalutx also has a handful of bars/cafes and restaurants serving a range of great cuisine, our favourite was Es Turo. The drive up to the house is perfectly do-able l, even in a biggish SUV - we had a Lynk and Co 01 model and managed it fine (just watch out for potholes and olives trees). Literally in town in minutes in the car, or a 15 minute stroll past the pretty terraces of olive trees and sheep (if you want to keep fit!) and a slightly hotter walk back up!!!! We had a brilliant time and can’t recommend this place enough. Perfect for a relaxing stay close to the beautiful mountains and close enough to Puerto Soller for a proper beach resort. A*****

Paradise!

We had a week here as a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 8 and 11. The place is magnificent with the view down over the pool and gardens down to soller and the mountains behind. The whole area is stunningly beautiful and if you are looking for quiet and calm in a gorgeous setting, this is it. The house itself is very well kitted out and Aircon in the main room and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. It has a nice big kitchen with all we needed. There are 2 different outdoor seating options which gives a nice element of choice depending on where the shade falls. The pool is fab. Our hosts were extremely attentive; we had a few minor issues during the week but all resolved very quickly. Technically it would be possible to walk to fornalutx but it was always too hot for this to seem like a viable option. Parking is a bit of a challenge there, as is driving through the village as the roads are very tight. Supermarkets etc can be found in Soller, about 15 min drive away - lovely. We did walk to Biniaraix and found a nice restaurant there. All in all our week was fantastic. I would highly recommend this house and location. There were 2 small points of attention - one is that the access to the house is a bit of a hairy drive along a very narrow, poorly maintained road, with wall along one side and a drop on the other. As a previous review said, get fully comp insurance, we didn't have a scrape but not quite sure how!! Also the futon bed in the main bedroom was rather hard, not the most comfortable.

Amazing views

Wonderful stay at home with picture perfect views over Soller valley. Rooms we’re comfortable and the AC was welcome after walking the villages. Narrow vehicle automatic transmission a must. Landscapers pruned the road way through our stay and we no longer had branches rubbing the vehicle on the narrow road. Pool and olive/fruit trees on property were beautiful.

This is a wonderful property. Everything about it…just perfect. Walk to Fornalutx (fantastic village with small market, town square, good restaurants). We loved this porperty and highly recommend it. the Pool, the views…just perfect.

A dream house - there is no better place to relax on Mallorca

A wonderful house in a wonderful, huge garden, secluded and completely quiet. Yet only a short walk away from Fornalutx. The living room, or rather the hall that forms the living room, is a dreamy place to stay. The walls of this old house are so thick that it stays cool inside even in the greatest heat. The view to Soller and over the mountains is breathtakingly beautiful. You could do nothing but enjoy the view for days. The house is perfect for 4 to 6 people to find total relaxation. If you need more than the spectacular nature in which the house is embedded, you will find fast internet and a good TV with extensive programmes. Only the equipment in the kitchen could be a little more extensive, there is no shade at the pool and the sun protection on the wonderful terrace in front of the house definitely needs to be renewed for the summer. But apart from these aspects, there is nothing to complain about in this dreamlike complex. We would like to come back again and again.

We loved this property, the pool was gorgeous and location was perfect for walking into town or a quick drive to the many local beaches. Roads are small and steep but easy enough to navigate. Would highly recommend this stay.

The most beautiful place we have been!

I would say that we have never stayed in a more beautiful spot! The views of the mountains are spectacular and the house is comfortable. It would have been nice to have a detailed map of how to get to the property. We were a bit lost! Fortunalutx is a beautiful village and we hope to return!

We've just come back from a wonderful week in Fornalutx where we had the most relaxing holidays. Excellent Stay

This is a beautiful villa in breathtaking mountains, with amazing views over the Sóller valley and an awesome pool. The three bedrooms are comfortable, the main living space open and airy and the kitchen very well equipped (things like foil, washing-up liquid etc are all there which are sometimes missing at other properties). I would think that you would struggle to find such an amazing villa in the area for the property price. Being a stereotypical Englishman, my language skills are poor at best (and I was a little nervous that this would be an issue as the host is not listed as speaking English). However, despite claiming not to speak English well, Pauline was excellent and communication was good. However, I would recommend knowing a little Spanish if possible. The WiFi was strong as was phone signal (in case these matter to you). The two things to be mindful of: 1) you are up in the Mountains and despite what other reviews say, it’s a 15 min walk into the village of Fornalutx (this is beautiful by the way). It’s down and then up a steep valley and in 35 degree heat- this can be tough. Not an issue for us but be aware if you have young kids etc. 2) the drive up to the property is very tricky (easily the hardest road I’ve ever driven). It’s up a steep narrow track, with a drop on one side and a wall on the other. It is not a drive for the faint hearted. If you hire a car to get here (which you’d have to ) take the extra insurance and hire an automatic. That way, you will worry less if you do scrape it and the clutch control will be easier. Overall, amazing and very reasonably priced to say you’re in such a beautiful area. Would love to go back.

Beautiful location.

This property is in a stunning location with fantastic views to Sóller. There are 3 bedrooms, we were a party of 4 and plenty of room for us. The property has quite a few steps, but very clean and ac excellent. We had a great holiday, thank you.

Nice house in the mountain area of Mallorca. Fresh mountain air and an excellent base to explore the island. Car is required! The house has a nice garden with orange trees so every morning you can have juice fresh from the trees. Nice big bathroom & electrical heating which is very comfortable during the cool evenings/mornings. Owners were flexible giving us a couple hours flexibility checking out so we also good sleep in heading to the airport later to catch our pm flight.

Merveilleusement bien placé pour visiter la Serra Tramuntana et la côte ouest de l'île. Tout confort, belle vue sur la vallée de Soller, grand calme. Rien à dire cette location est parfaite. A recommander fortement. Juste une petite précision quand même, le chemin pour accéder à la maison est très compliqué (dénivelé forte, peu large) : à éviter si vous venez avec un véhicule de type 9 places, fourgon.

Wonderful house with amazing views and great pool

My wife, two kids (aged 7 & 9) and I spent two blissfull weeks in this haven of tranquility. The house is in an idylic spot with mountain views to three sides and only a short walk to the lovely village of Fornalutx. Outside is lovely, with plenty of space, lots of plants and huge gnarled olive trees...and a friendly donkey in the neighbouring fields! Inside has everything you might need. The owner is lovely and quick to respond to any questions or issues. We'll be back when we can!

Lovely setting, comfortable house

We enjoyed our holidays in this lovely casita in Fornalutx. The setting is quiet and private with great views of Fornalutx and Soller. The house is comfortable, everything is there. Beds are good (although one double bed a bit short and small) and the atmosphere in the house is cozy. Do not expect hot showers for 4 persons at once. We had hot water for max 2. The pool is excellent and the garden is big with some beautiful trees. We would love to come back again.

Beautiful house and fantastic scenery

We have just had a lovely stay in Fornalutx at your beautiful home, the house is great for families, there is loads of room and the outside space and pool are excellent. We will certainly consider staying at the house again, we have stayed at many in the area and this was one of the best.

Beautiful House in fantastic surroundings

The House is beautiful and with everything you need for a perfect holiday. We were 6 adults and a baby and everyone enjoyed the stay. The views are fantastic with mountains and orangetrees, and the small village Fornalutx is in walking distance, with a bakery and supermarket, cafes and restaurants. Lovely!

We were seven peoole staying together in this beautiful house - me, my husband, our three kids (who are young adults) the son's girlfriend and my mother. Everybody loved this stay. The young ones vere delighted to have a pool (and the pool was even better than on the pictures). Personally my favourite spot was the tranquil veranda where you could sit in the shade and watch the fantastic view over Sóller and the orange trees. We walked to Fornalutz every day to have icecream, coffee or dinner. We also walked to Sóller and we took the bus to Port de Sóller. Sometimes we took a taxi. Everything worked fine. The owner and the neighbours were very helpful. The house had everything you might need and the whole area is truly lovely. A perfect stay. /Annette
