What a great family reunion

We booked this location for a family reunion. We have family in the Arkansas area, Texas, Idaho and myself from Colorado (total of 11 adults and five kids!) and we had more than enough room. With that many family members there can easily be friction, but the location is spacious we all had an absolutely wonderful time. It sits in a nice quiet cove; we brought out the paddle boards and floats and had a wonderful time in the water. Last but definitely not least the hosts were very accommodating. 100% recommend this location.

Amazing Stay

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at Sunset Bay. The owners were very accommodating and their communication was fantastic. The house is in a perfect spot on the lake and the layout with multiple bedrooms works really well for multiple families. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to return again.

Perfect Lake Getaway!

We had 9 adults and 6 children in our party and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Sunset Bay has a perfect open living space and huge kitchen so we were able to play games and really enjoy being together as a family at night. During the day, we put our bathing suits on and walked straight down to the water. There is an extra boat slip to house a rented boat for your stay. There is also plenty of area to swim and float off the dock. The house sits on an inlet so it’s quiet without a ton of boat traffic. We went into town two nights to eat and we had no trouble finding our way back-it’s a very short drive into town. We frequented the grocery store and its location is perfect for running last minute to grab stuff for lunches, etc. The house is gorgeous, tons of space for enjoying the family or privacy for each person, and the hosts are incredible. We needed help with the dryer and Joey came right over with a repairman. Perfect hosts! I highly recommend Sunset Bay for a wonderful family trip to the lake!!

Fantastic family reunion!

We can’t say enough about this wonderful home! The listing and photos are exactly as we found it but it offered even more. The master suite is epic - windows and a door out to the deck, jacuzzi tub, 2 sinks, shower, walk-in closet and a wall of drawers for clothes. But each room was generous with comfy beds generous soaps, towels and shampoos and lovely decor. Easily parked our 5 cars and kayak trailer. Ample kitchen with abundant cooking and dining supplies, generous soaps, towels and shampoos. But the gem was the dock where we spent much of our time jumping in and swimming in the lake. The water is about 14 feet at the dock so bring floaties - but it was clean, no algae or debris. They had chairs we could bring down as well. Located in a quiet cove it was safe and scenic. We brought kayaks which were great to explore with. We rented a pontoon one day which fit easily in to the extra covered slip. Super large deck with various spaces to enjoy for dining, lounging, tanning or star gazing. A generous grassy lawn that was great for our family photo. Joey was super responsive and sweet. We’re so grateful to have found this gem for our family reunion.

Best stay ever!

My family and friends get together every year and have tried many houses in Arkansas, but this was our favorite! It was perfectly located with lots of room for everyone to both hang out in the common areas, but also retreat to their own rooms. The kitchen was the most well-equipped VRBO kitchen I've ever had! They had everything I needed to cook for our group of about 20 people. We would happily return to Sunset Bay!

Extraordinary Elegance and Delight

All the details such as special soaps, stacks of towels, and mood lighting on the deck make this the most intriguing and well-stocked vacation home we have ever stayed at. The lovely gigantic master bathroom with a water closet is the largest bathroom we have ever used. The jaw-dropping linen closets we found towards the end of our stay--so don't miss them! Kayaking in the lake was fun for everyone and the lake views from most of the rooms and the deck were pretty and entertaining. The very large dining room table is ideal for playing board games with many pieces and cards, as well as for family dining, and it was always in use. Friends' Getaway Weekend

We are 4 couples that like to get away for a long weekend. None of us had been to Hot Springs and it was an easy drive from Dallas. The house is as beautiful as the pictures. It was clean and comfortable and we did not have any issues with anything. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely. Loved having an ice maker and wine cooler in the bar. We ate most meals at the house so were very happy with how well stocked the kitchen was with everything needed to cook. We ate all our meals in the dining room at the big beautiful table. We also loved sitting on the patio chatting, drinking, eating and enjoying the view. The living area was roomy and comfortable to sit and rehash the day--the Baths--the JazzFest--the Lawn Concert--Shopping the Shops--The Gallery Walk--The National Park--Anthony Chapel, etc. Hot Springs area is beautiful. Everyone we talked to was so friendly. We laughed a lot, talked a lot, and had a wonderful stay at Sunset Bay. Our primary communication was with Joey who was always responsive to any of our questions. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO homes over the years and this house is definitely at the top of the list.

Lake vacation

The lake home is quite lovely. The hosts are kind and responsive. The house is spacious for a large group with all the amenities to make the stay comfortable. The back yard has plenty of room to play along with easy access to the lake for swimming, paddle boarding, and other water activities. The house is in a quiet neighborhood but in close proximity to shopping and downtown. Highly recommend staying here for when visiting Hot springs!

Arkansas Trip

We enjoyed our stay. 15 family members in all. The house is very spacious and clean. Able to enjoy the backyard as well as swimming off dock using our floats. Brought our own kayak to fish. Was able to rent a boat for several days. The boat was delivered to the house and we used the extra boat slip to store the rental overnight. Would highly recommend staying here.

Oh..the memories that where made!

This house was great for all 14 of us! We all comment on the quietness and how clean the house was! It was easy to get to and from the different parts of Hot Springs. We even enjoyed putting together 2 of the 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles you have to choose from. Thankful for the family time, all the laughter and memories to carry with us for a lifetime!

Beautiful Lakefront Home

The Sunset Bay home was perfect for our large family. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and dining at home. I was born and raised in Arkansas and spent summers with my family at my grandparent's cabin on Lake Catherine. Like most families we've spread out across the country, so two years ago we rented a home on Lake Hamilton for my mom's 75th birthday and all the family came. We loved it so much my husband and I decided to buy a home with enough room for my whole family and friends to come together and create lasting memories of time spent together. We hope the home brings the same joy to you.

We chose this property for many reasons. The home is designed for large groups without feeling on top of each other while also feeling cozy when just my husband and I are there. It's on the North side of the lake, so while we can enjoy the peacefulness of lake life, we're only 10 minutes from the racetrack, restaurants and shopping. The home is situated such that the large deck is private from the neighbors.

Open floor plan with three couches and game table, so guest can be together while doing their own thing. Work a puzzle on the dining room table, watch a movie on the large screen t.v., get a game going on the game table or read a book nestled on the couch in the corner all while feeling together. Large kitchen with double oven for cooking several dishes. Wet bar with ice-maker and wine cooler. Gas grill on deck provides hot flames for charring steaks and no need for propane.
