Dieses Haus bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Wasser und eine hervorragend ausgestattete Küche des Küchenchefs. Hier finden unzählige Familienurlaube, intime Wochenenden und Mädchenabende statt. Beobachten Sie den Sonnenaufgang von unserem Observatorium im dritten Stock aus oder genießen Sie die hohen Masten und Farben der reichlich vorhandenen Maria. Sammeln Sie Muscheln bei Ebbe auf der Sandbank oder erfrischen Sie sich in den kühlen Angeboten des Long Island Sound. Was auch immer Ihre Bedürfnisse sind, wir sind zuversichtlich, dass unser Zuhause Sie nicht enttäuschen wird. Wir haben dieses Haus vor etwas mehr als 5 Jahren gekauft und alles neu eingerichtet. Die Master Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, ein eigenes Bad und Zugang zur Terrasse mit Blick auf das Wasser. Zwei weitere Schlafzimmer bieten den Gästen ein Kingsize-Bett, von denen eines über ein eigenes Bad verfügt. Das vierte Schlafzimmer bietet sowohl ein Queen- als auch ein Twin-Bett. Das Achterdeck verfügt über einen Kamin und einen Grill. Eine Außendusche befindet sich unter der Decktreppe. Das Observatorium im dritten Stock bietet einen atemberaubenden 360-Grad-Blick auf den Long Island Sound und die Marina. Kommen Sie und genießen Sie den Sonnenaufgang oder Sonnenuntergang von diesem Platz aus.

Great stay by the shore

Property was ideal for our multi-generational family. Great kitchen and dining room for family meals. Everyone had their own space, with four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The observation room on the third floor with 360 degree views is a great bonus!

Spacious house, great location by the water

We had plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 teens visiting family for Christmas holiday. Plenty of room to hang out together or for kids to get away. House was clean, bathrooms were updated. Host was easy to communicate with, responded immediately with any questions. Would stay again.

By the sea!!

Oasis by the Sea is a spacious, well- kept beautiful home. We enjoyed the beach, water views from second story deck and crows nest. Well appointed kitchen was great for cooking. Plenty of room to spread out. Beds were very comfortable and the 3 full bathrooms were nicely updated. We had a relaxing 10 days.

Wonderful property

Location, location, location. Excellent beach and a great property. Amazing for your children who can walk to the beach. The beach is private and features soft sand and a sandbar with almost no waves. The crow's nest at the top of the house is magnificent. We will stay there again.

Outstanding!

My family and I had an outstanding stay at this beautiful beach home and did not want to leave. We truly enjoyed this home’s offerings, and the private beach which was just a minute’s walk away. The house has so many awesome spaces, inside and out. One of our favorite spaces was the third floor observatory with spectacular 360 views of the water, including sunsets over the marina. We also enjoyed reading and playing Scrabble out on second floor balcony, preparing meals in the gorgeous, well appointed kitchen, hanging out in the spacious family room...the list goes on...loved our morning / evening walks in the friendly neighborhood and along Seaside Avenue and time out on the sandbar at the private beach during low tide. Roberta was so accommodating, highly responsive to any questions we had, and also provided great suggestions for dining in the area. Can’t say enough about our wonderful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and would love to come back again!

Great family memories made here!

Our 10 and 4-year-old grandsons can’t wait to go back to this great house and the private beach in Westbrook. House has excellent flow and plenty of space for playing games, puzzles, etc. the beach is very near and sandy with some interesting shells for decorating sand castles. Low-tide sand bars are fun for even little kids. Mini- golf in nearby Old Saybrook was so much fun we did it twice! Essex Steam train, Yale Peabody museum and Mystic Aquarium were great outings. The house is in a very walkable neighborhood for after dinner strolls. We can’t wait to come back!

Clean, comfy, spacious and great views!

I stayed with my family and cousins at this home, during my graduation weekend. The house was very clean and the premise was well-maintained. The beds are comfortable, and each bedroom was near a bathroom that was easily accessible. My family spent time together, as we had not see each other in a long time, but we loved that there was enough room for people to spend some afternoons separately. My dad absolutely loved the view from the 360 room on top. It is a cozy room with comfy seats where you can watch the sun rise with coffee, or unwind at sunset. My family loved the art (beach-themed) on the walls in every room too. Very cute! I liked how close this home was to the beach. We walked to the beach on a couple of mornings, and soaked some sun. The property manager was very professional, and prompt in response to any questions. We initially had an internet connection problem, and the manager was quick to contact the internet provider and resolve our issue promptly. Thank you for accommodating us, and making our family weekend relaxing! Highly recommend this place - I would love to stay here again if I am in the area!

Beach Life is the Good Life

We were greeted to a place that took all our breaths away. Not just the spectacular view but the house itself. There were so many rooms giving us time to be on our own if we wished, we had our space and it was very much appreciated. The house was very clean and tidy. We loved having the ability to walk straight down to the beach and simply bask in the sun. Thank you for giving us the chance to unwind, relax and enjoy the definition of beach life.

Perfect, peaceful, relaxing family vacation

We just returned from a week stay in Westbrook and could not be happier or more relaxed. This was a splurge for us and we were not disappointed in anyway. We were three couples, my husband and myself, my son and his wife from Seattle, and our other son, his wife and their two children ages 3 & 2. This was our first full family vacation and a lot of riding on it. I wanted each family to feel comfortable, to have enough space to meet their needs and enough space we could all come together to hang out, cook or eat. This met all the requirements. The bedrooms were spacious. Two couples had their own baths in their rooms. The family used the downstairs two bedrooms and the shared bath, which made it easy for all of them. The kitchen was awesome and sometimes therei were multiple chefs, os it was a good things. The dinning room table fit 8 comfortable, when we had guests, we made it work for 10. The Association beach was a hop, skip and a jump away, and that is how the grandkids got there. They had great fun walking there barefoot most of the time as it was so close! The neighbors were friendly, but generally it was a quiet oasis. The streets were small and quiet, so walking and playing in the yard was really safe making the moms really comfortable and at ease. The ocean here has a fairly large change in tides, but it is never dangerous waves or really deep water, making it perfect for kids. The low tide exposes sandbars that stretch way out and attracts various shore birds to feed. So watching terns, gulls, egrets, pipers, plovers is all common. We brought kayaks and had a couple of nice paddles over to a couple of mini islands and bird sanctuaries. The favorite spot though was the upper widows walk room, with the 360 view. Opening the windows to watch and listen to the birds and ocean while reading a good book was a joy. The favorite part for the kids was the abundance of cotton tail bunnies everywhere. Every dinner time, we would watch 2 or 3 in our yard or take a walk and see two or three in every neighbor's yards, just quietly munching on the grass. Unexpected treat. We hope you can visit again. Our friends are thinking we should get 4 couples together, so maybe that will be our next trip!

Wonderful views and a great space

We were looking for a space to accommodate our family for a welcoming home of one of my children from 2 1/2 years in the Peace Corp. And this property could not have been better. The location was close for all (families from PA, NJ and MA). Even in January we had wonderful sunrises and sunsets viewed from the observation room. The 2 children thought it was a miracle that it snowed at the beach. Nice kitchen with plenty of room to cook and space to visit after so long apart. With the 4 bedrooms all had their own rooms. Access to the beach was close and we could walk there everyday. Plenty of choice of food stores and wonderful fresh fish. Plenty of restaurants as well. I would highly recommend this for any family gathering. Tara could not have been more helpful responding to any of our questions. And the house was exactly what the pictures show on the website. We would definitely consider this house again for another family reunion!

Fantastic stay!

Our family had the pleasure of staying at this lovely house for 5 nights to celebrate Thanksgiving. The house is beautifully maintained and impeccably clean. It was very comfortable with lots of room for 4 couples and 1 child. The kitchen was fully stocked and great for cooking a Thanksgiving dinner. The observatory is a special room in the house! The location is perfect- steps from the beach and in a private association with almost no traffic. Working with Tara, the rental agent, was easy from start to finish. She was responsive, thorough and informative. I recommend this rental and would absolutely come back.

Beautiful house with a great location

Great place!

This house was perfect for our stay for 4 nights. The house was extremely clean and exactly as pictured. Tara was very responsive in her emails and correspondence. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/appliances and there were a few stock items which were in the house (coffee filters, sugar, etc) which was very nice. Great view from the top floor. Wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee and view of the water. Thanks for a great house!

Fantastic!

All the comforts of home, just a few steps from a private (association) small beach. The home is comfortable, newly renovated, and comfortably sleeps six adults and three children, (although we had five children and an infant for two of the seven days and we were just fine). Everything you would want for your week (or more) stay. Tara was very responsive, and all was smooth as silk. The beach area was great for young children. We could walk to Duck Island during low tide, first on the sand bars, then a little while in knee to waist deep water (just wear your water shoes!). High tide allowed for us to safely (water is about four feet deep until much further off shore) have our kayak and small boat to row around and again out to the islands right off shore. We had one terrific family outing. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful, spacious, and cost-effective!

We attended family wedding at the Saybrook Point Inn and were looking for a place to stay that would truly make the weekend a relaxing getaway at an affordable cost. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, comfortable place to stay. The drive to Saybrook was so easy, and having the space for the kids to spread out and relax between wedding events was key. We spent hours playing on the beach, collecting seashells and checking out horseshoe crabs. The widow's peak was perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning and for relaxing at night with a cool breeze blowing through and a stunning view. Best of all, there was enough room for our whole family to come together in one spot, making it a true family event. My husband's parents, who stayed in a room at the Saybrook Point Inn, were shocked that they paid the same amount for a single hotel room (with a broken air conditioner!) that we paid for a beautiful home with all the amenities one could want. The home is clean, modern, spacious, and beautiful and only steps from the beach. We hope to make it an annual trip even though we won't have weddings to attend in future years!

Graduation Gathering

We rented this lovely home to celebrate our son's college graduation. Tara was available by phone to help with questions, and we thoroughly enjoyed our family gathering! The house is spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. We will rent again!

A Wonderful Anniversary Celebration

Our Clinton Connecticut parents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. We needed a place for all of our grown children to come with us from Minnesota and stay comfortably.This home was perfect. Modern, clean with warmth and character. The special room that "put it over the Top" was the lookout room with sectional couch. I swear I could have sold tickets for time up there to our kids. The second floor wrap around deck was lovely even in April and with the beach just a few houses away ,makes it a true beach vacation. Restaurants very close on Rte.1 We were mainly back 'home' in Connecticut for this gathering but how lovely to make such a find in our home state. We would love to come back for a longer stay at some point and of course will recommend to others. Tara was very responsive and gracious to our questions early on. We have used VRBO in the past and have always been happy with VRBO.

Great Visit!

My husband and I rented this house as a halfway point between Boston (where we live) and New York (where many of our college friends live). We met up here with three friends for a weekend in chilly February and we all had a great time. It was a truly frigid weekend with the high being around 12 degrees but we had a great time in this beautiful house which provided plenty of cozy living and lounging space for us all to escape to. We dined at great area restaurants in Westbrook and Old Saybrook, we visited the Mystic aquarium, and we did some sightseeing in the great coastal towns in the area. The rest of the time we spent cooking in the beautiful and well stocked kitchen, relaxing and watching movies by the fireplace, or playing cards and board games at the dining room table. Our favorite room was what we called "the lighthouse", the light filled room at the top of the house with panoramic views. Great for reading and watching sunsets. Everyone slept great in the many beautiful bedrooms and the house was exceptionally clean and well cared for. I'd also like to say how much we appreciated the quick and thorough response of the property manager during this whole process. Right upon our arrival we noticed a small issue and called to report it. Within minutes we had a response and they even sent a handyman to the house to fix the issue late on a Friday night. Excellent, prompt, and understanding service at this property. Would highly recommend!

A lovely place to stay!

I stayed at this property with four friends and three children and it was great! The house is very comfortable with lots of different sitting areas for relaxing and hanging out. The living room was especially comfortable with a large sofa and an easy to use gas fireplace. We also really enjoyed the third floor observatory, which was a nice place to take in the views of the neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms even had some basic toiletries (which was great when I forgot shampoo!). The house is located in a nice neighborhood and is just a short walk to the association beach, which was a nice place to stroll, even in the winter. And it was an easy drive to Old Saybrook for groceries and dining. I was also very pleased with the responsiveness of the renters and everything worked out very smoothly paying for the property and the return of the security deposit. All in all, a lovely place to stay!
