Award winning Weymouth Sands are 80 yds from the house, Weymouth bay provides a safe beach for kids to enjoy, patrolled in the summer by lifeguards, with many of the following: Punch and Judy, paddle boarding, swimming, diving and pedalos.
The harbour a short walk away with the Quay has many restaurants and bars. Kids can go crabbing along the harbour. The famous Bridge spanning the river Wey, also on the harbour at the end of road, stops Weymouth traffic to allow the tall sailing boats out. This spectacle can be seen from the comfort of many restaurants or bars every 2 hours.
World heritage site - The Jurassic Coast, this spans nearly 100 miles and Weymouth is in the heart of it, with Chesil beach spectacular just a few miles away. Portland & Weymouth hosted the sailing event for the 2012 Olympics, do not miss Portland, has so much to offer with breathtaking views across the Jurassic Coast.
There's also the local bus service, which the Jurassic Coaster open top bus leaves opposite the Kings statue and travels along the coast to the following places: Portland, Dorchester, West Bay, Lyme Regis, Axminster, Durdle Dor, Lulworth Cove, Monkey world and the Tank museum, Wool and Wareham.
There's local shopping in the town and many Coffee shops locally. Many cafes and eateries within minutes from the house.
Nothe fort great for days out and the lovely walk along the Rodwell trail takes in breathtaking scenery along the coast towards Portland.
