Booked this property for a long weekend in Greenville for early fall. It's centrally located and easy access to all attractions. When we arrived, we found the access code supplied by VRBO was wrong. A call to the owner cleared that up promptly.
This is an older home, but nicely remodeled kitchen and bath. It is located on a rather busy street, so backing out of the driveway can be challenging during busy traffic. Kitchen was well equipped, but we didn't take advantage of cooking as there were many local restaurant options to explore.
The only problem was a required "damage deposit" which - at $1500 - is about 3 times the normal fee. Nothing within the home seemed exceedingly valuable to justify that much of a deposit. However, we paid the deposit expecting to receive it back soon. Our checkout was 10/9 and we took photos of how we left it: clean and undamaged. The refund did not arrive in my account until 10/25. That's 2 1/2 weeks of those funds being held for no apparent reason. Certainly 5 to 7 days is sufficient for the property managers to issue an "all clear" report.
We enjoyed our stay, the owners were easy to deal with (they did not seem aware of the high deposit when we brought it to their attention), but due to our funds being tied up for so long, we would not return. It's a shame, really.
