Dieses geräumige, zweistöckige Mietobjekt befindet sich am nördlichen Ende von Rockport in der begehrten Gegend "The Avenues" und verfügt über mehrere große Sammelbereiche (einschließlich eines möblierten hinteren Wintergartens mit Meerblick) sowie zwei Flusskamine (ein Gas- und ein Holzofen), eine gut ausgestattete, voll ausgestattete Küche und ein großer, grasbewachsener Garten mit einer Schieferterrasse am Wasser.

Während Kajakfahrer und starke Schwimmer das Wasser direkt in Ihrem eigenen Garten betreten können, gibt es einfachere Startplätze gleich die Straße hinunter. Breathtaking views

Watching the sunrise from the dining room or sunroom sipping your coffee was an awesome breathtaking experience. We were in town for a family wedding and truly appreciated finding a home that accommodated a large group , plenty of seating … we were able to all sit in the dining room and even made a puzzle during our stay. We enjoyed the character of this older home .

Amazing view!

The house is roomy, well stocked, has plenty of seating for dinners and get togethers. The three and a half bathrooms are a plus! . But that view of the ocean! That makes everything else seem pale in comparison. You literally walk out of the back door and see the most spectacular site! Rocky beach and ocean just right there. The owner is gracious and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Family vacation

We all absolutely loved this home. It was the coziest place we have ever stayed. And the location and view were unbelievable, being right on the coast. We read the reviews ahead of time and knew it was an older home, which added to the charm for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Rockport family weekend

A long family weekend with the kids, grandkids and dogs. This is a big, old, house with plenty of room for everyone. The sun porch was a great gathering and craft area for everyone. Right on the ocean with direct access. The kids had plenty of places to explore. If you are looking for a new shiny house, look somewhere else This place has a lot of age, wear and tear. The internet does not work and has been reported before. Several people that had to work remote were not happy about it

Just finished 3 night stay with 5 old golfing friends. This stunning fully equipped and spacious house is surpassed only by its setting. Step out the back enclosed porch, cross the lawn and take a seat on the granite wall. Mixed experience, recommend reading reviews before booking

Previous reviews, positive and negative, were both pretty accurate to our experience. Overall, we had a great stay. I do not think we would return, though. The good: fantastic location, gorgeous yard, lots of space, beds were comfortable, the house had clearly been recently superficially cleaned (carpets vacuumed, stove cleaned). The bed linen and towels were all pristine. The bad: as others state, the house is old and worn; wallpaper is peeling, there are water stains on ceilings, etc. We expected this and found it mostly charming. But we were uncomfortable with non-superficial lack of cleanliness in the setting of having kids there-- there were huge cobwebs/dust bunnies in every (nonworking, open) fireplace, years-old bags of white powder (pesticides?) on bookcases, visible mold on more than half of the couch cushions. Overall I would just read the reviews and know yourself-- if you are non-fussy adults, this place will probably be amazing for you. The location can't be beat and it's highly functional. But if you like clean spaces and/or have kids who like to play/explore all of the corners, you should skip it. I don't think we would book this again unless we were prepared to start the vacation by doing some cleaning/prep ourselves, bring clean throw blankets to put over the couches, etc.

Beautiful spot; home needs updating.

We had a great week, the yard, beach and ocean are amazing. The sunroom, with the exception of at least one broken chair, is a lovely place to sit and take in the view. I was there with my 3 20-something year old kids so the outdated decor wasn’t totally off-putting but the house could use some TLC: wallpaper peeling, old chairs, old fridge. We were surprised to find that the ocean-front, beachfront house had no access to a swimming beach. That should be posted clearly in the rental information. WiFi needs to be upgraded. All of that to say, we were close enough to drive into Rockport and Gloucester and we took some nice walks. Quiet neighborhood, very private. Vacasa staff was very helpful when we ran out of propane. They brought us a new tank the next day and cleaned the grill. Very helpful!

Rockport oceanfront historic home

Lots of charm and the family loved it. You can’t beat the view! But the house itself and all of the furnishings are completely outdated and in need of a major upgrade. Floors are so slanted it’s disorienting. But it’s full of charm and worked for us for a weekend family wedding. I’d pick a different house that has been modernized next time.

Relaxed home with a great view.

We loved the feel of the house. Felt like we were visiting a family beach home. The view was amazing and the sun room was a great place to hang out. The neighborhood was lovely and the kids enjoyed the nearby mountain biking trails. Would definitely return!

Oldie but goodie

House was large with comfortable seating. Dining room held all 10 of us comfortably. Sun room was beautiful with incredible views of sunrises. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook with including a blender. 2 There were two refridgerators, one made ice. House is older, needs some attention to spackle and wallpaper. Nice and cozy warm even in March. Large back yard. Rock beach which was pretty cool for the kids to climb around on. Quiet neighborhood. Would revisit at another time.

A dream came true

This house has a spiritual feeling, beautiful relaxing state of mind when you stay there. The crashing waves onto the backyard rocks are priceless the serenity and the beauty of the sorrounding is a dream come true. The house is marginal and poorly maintained. A doorknob fell off a bathroom door and the chair our grandson was sitting in collapsed. Many of the doors do not fit and the advertised gas fireplace was not available. We placed a call for assistance on a couple of problems but the promised callback was never received. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls in several places. The water dispenser on the fridge is misaligned and squirts water at the user and all over the floor. Photos are misleading. The house is poorly maintained.

Love this home

We have stayed here several times over the last 3 years, and this was the best condition the house has been in so far- clean, mattresses and pillows upgraded, and if your looking for high end furniture and appliances, and a home that is fashionably decorated, this is not the place for you. We love it for its charm, space and coziness, but primarily for the location- IT CANNOT BE BEAT!! We sit out in chairs on the sea wall all day and night! We brought our Solo stove and had bonfires all day and night! Even cooked our breakfast on the stove, at ocean’s edge… This house has single handedly got me and my family through the pandemic and now out of it- it is a gem. And the sunrises are almost spiritual ❤️

Girls trip

The view of the ocean was SPECTACULAR! Plenty of space to wander. Built in 1881, it has weathered rustic bones. It is not a Ritz Hilton, so if thats what you like, this is not for you. Yes, it could use some spurcing up, maybe a coat of paint here and there, some new chairs. Would not recommend for those with allergies. Sitting on the sun porch with the ocean a stones throw away.....priceless.

Just WOW!!!

What a RELAXING time we had with the best views I could ever have imagined. The sun rose every morning and woke us up with a magnificent array of colors! “We moved our bed over to the windows” so we could lay and hear the splashing of the water on the rocks all night! Home is huge. Filled with a sense of the owners still there!! Memories of their life are in every corner! I personally love the old feel and layout. It was a dream for us! We planted a mum for a splash of color and added some pumpkins for future guests!! Is it new? No!!! Thank God for that! The old CHARM oozes in every window and I am grateful to have been a guest!!!
