Der Tisch bietet Platz für drei. Parkplätze vor der Unterkunft sind vorhanden. Die Küche ist mit Kühlschrank, Herd, Toaster, Mikrowelle, Mixer und Kaffeekanne ausgestattet. Das Geschirr, Kochutensilien und Bettwäsche sind vorhanden. Das Haus ist etwa einen Block von Restaurants, Tankstellen, einer Post und Lebensmittelgeschäften entfernt. Es gibt einen schlüssellosen Zugang. Sie erhalten Ihren Code vor Ihrer Ankunft.
Dies ist eine Nichtraucherunterkunft. Raucher werden gebeten, auf die Straße zu gehen, um zu rauchen. Bitte entsorgen Sie Rauchartikel außerhalb des Geräts. Es wird kein Essen bereitgestellt.
Die Kula Kai Caverns, South Point und die Kahuku Branch des Nationalparks befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. If you want to enjoy the calm side of Big Island

Calm place, beautifuls sunsets. Appartment small but fully equipped also for a longer stay. Three supermarkets, farmer market, small restaurants close by. Very firendly and helpful host. Warmly recommended.

Perfect location

We used the Starfish as a home base while renovating our property in Ocean View. It is a clean, no frills roof over your head. The location is perfect for travel between both Kona & Hilo. If recently renovated as the description states, it still needs a new stove as only 1 burner works. And the saloon door in the bathroom does not provide for much privacy. I would like to suggest adding a grab bar to assist with safely navigating the step up into & out of the shower. The wet shower floor is a broken hip waiting to happen! P.S. we loved the property cat Pineapple. Very friendly & vocal!

Perfect spot for us

We really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to access and right off the Hwy. Great location between the airport and Volcano national park and so much to see and do along the way. We met Taylor and his family who were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again if we are ever given the opportunity.

Fine for the price

Lots of minor annoyances and not much peace and quiet. If you want to save money to spend on activities it's not bad. But if you want a quiet and welcoming place to come back to, maybe keep looking.

nice stay, central location, reasonable price

This is a multiple unit building, we stayed in the "Starfish" unit. The unit was clean and has a kitchen area (stove, fridge, etc...). Owner was working on the upstairs unit at the time and we had enjoyable conversation and watching the great progress on that unit. The host (Yvette) was amicable and helpful. We were happy with no complaints and it was budget friendly. Ocean View is a nice local town with just the essentials you might need. It is central to the island. We wanted to explore the entire island so this worked for us. We live in the largest state in the union so driving was not an issue. If the owner remodels on par with the upstairs unit then the "Starfish" will be an outstanding stay. We'd recommend staying here if on a budget and the location works for you.

Nice place, nice manager!

This was the most spacious, well equipped and well furnished of the 3 Vrbo rentals we tried on this trip. The manager was on her first week managing this particular place and there were some glitches as a consequence but she put in extra effort and did her best to make everything right. The most challenging was the water tank running dry! But she personally brought us 11 gallons as soon as she was able. Everyone take heed: conserve water when you visit the islands! They get their water (pure and delicious) as rain. We are paying for unusually sunny weather with short showers, and glad to do our part.

Very clean, quiet and pleasent

The property is doing some renovations. So workings were going on from 9am untill my checkout. Didn’t cause a lot of disturbance but should know this is going on.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!

First off, the property manager Dean appeared to be very nice but the rest of my stay was horrible!!!! I'm a female traveling alone and had reserved the place for 10 day. My car was parked in front of the room I was staying, so I would think that's the first hint that someone was staying there. Second, the property manager knew I was scheduled to be there for 10 days. I made my reservation on the 7th of October. I had a few issues with my plans but confirmed the stay by by 9th of October. I sent a message on 16th of October and again on 1st of November about things I may need for my stay since it's so far from Hilo and Kona (1.5hrs approx to either). I did not hear from anyone until 11th of November, the day I checked in! Now it gets interesting. I had just stepped out of my shower and had just dropped my towel to start getting dressed ( sorry for being so descriptive) when I heard the lock on the door opening!!!! I yelled out "hey" and hid around the corner quickly grabbing my towel. I have no clue how far this person entered the room but it scared me (as far as I knew this person had started to enter the place). I did not here anyone knock or announce they were entering. The door closed and I wrapped myself with my towel and went to the door to see who had opened it. After some checking around it turned out to be the construction worker from upstairs and he was quickly walking away from my room. There were multiple stories from the manager...first it was "he was sent to see if the room was empty so it could be cleaned (8:30ish am), then it was the housekeepers husband (he was not on the property that day), then it was the managers wife said it was empty so the construction work could use the restroom. Per the owner the video shows that he did not step inside but I cant verify this because I was scared and hid around the corner. I would think that him opening the door is enough to be concerned. There was also construction going on upstairs starting at 8am. I have this on video and the VRBO staff could here it when I called. There was hammering, sanders, what sounded like a saw and of course walking around and what appeared to be dropping stuff on the floor. I did not feel safe staying here alone at this point. I requested a refund since this all occurred and find a new place to stay. The owner said no because the construction worked did not step all the way in. If I was your wife or girlfriend wouldn't you be concerned?

Peaceful and relaxing

We had such a lovely stay here. It was a great jumping off point for our daily excursions. The managers were helpful and quick to resolve some accessibility issues we had which was so fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice but some things to know

We rented Starfish which is a downstairs unit and to be blunt the noise (stomping and perhaps just rapidly moving around) from the upstairs unit began each morning at 6am. For a vacation this was a little early to be woken up each morning. The other thing of note for us is that the layout of the furnishings is odd in that you can’t view the tv from the bedroom, like at all. All that said, the property managers were nice, the bed was comfortable, and the sunsets were beautiful.

Great value

This property is a great value and near our favorite part of the island. Easy drive to South Point, south side beach parks, southwest beach parks, and incredible hiking in Volcanoes National Park. Two grocery stores within a couple of blocks.
