Perfect location

The place was clean, comfortable and very conveniently to the beach, restaurants and shops. Regarding the parking, we parked at the bay and walked the quick 5 minute walk. I would highly recommended this place to all my friends and family!

Misrepresentation-A Wet Blanket

I booked the property about two and a half weeks before my stay so the fee was non-refundable. The property was advertised as having parking (I see after my complaints this has been updated). As soon as I clicked to book I promptly got and e-mail stating that the parking was only for a compact car....it went on to say like a Yaris or Ford Fiesta. I had booked a car prior to the lodging. After several messaes back and forth with the property owner it became clear there really was not parking. I called VRBO immediately- but they asked I work further with the owner. Later messages claimed parking at a womens club which was also false. The parking here could fit a motorcycle or small golf cart, street parking is tough- I parked a mile away or had to pay $126. The second bed is like a rock and parties went on in nearby units even into the middle of the night though quiet hours are 10pm to 8 am. Close to the beach- great if you don't have a car and you are young people having a party I guess. My point is the place would still draw renters- but you should not fasely advertise it. You put a wet blanket and a lot of stress onto a much needed long weekend. Certainly not worth the money as a very high rate charged.

Location!

One house away from the beach, with a view from the bedroom. The place was bright, clean and had everything we needed. Places to eat and shop were within walking distance. Also the bay is rg across the street. The one bedroom bed was a little on the hard side. Communication with the owner was quick , which was really nice. We would definitely be back to stay at this cute place. Oh and we had a 4 runner so the garage was to small (which we knew ahead of time), but we had no trouble finding a close parking space.

Cute small family vacation home near beach

Cute nice place to stay near the beach for small family. Home was update and clean. Only concern is the floor needs to be updated in the kitchen area. Other than that, I would definitely come back again.

Super clean!

This cute comfy apartment is perfectly located just a few steps to the ocean. I loved going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the waves! The place is very clean, this is very important to me. The bed/bedding and towels were very clean and comfy. The place is as described with the exception that the furniture to this unit is different from the pictures but just as nice. I definitely recommend and would go back!

Great Weekend Getaway was better than advertised.

The Apartment was immaculate when we arrived and had all of the amenities one could wish for on a 2-night stay. The location is amazing with access to Mission Beach only steps outside the front door. There is no shortage of beach activities, great restaurants and nightlife well within comfortable walking distance. This place was ideal for our group of four, I would definitely recommend it to friends and look forward to our next stay.

Cute apartment but…

The apartment is adorable & the location is great! However when we arrived the temp in the apartment was above 90° and it was only 73 outside. I have stayed in many VRBOs in southern CA & never ever stayed anywhere without AC. My mistake for not noticing this detail in the listing, but in my experience AC is kinda like running water - assumed as a modern convenience, especially when spending that much per night. This unit faces west so the summer sun is intense. The ceiling fans have 1 speed which didn’t make a dent in the heat & less than half of the windows has screens - and on the second story this was unsafe to keep them open without good screens. Not to mention it is a noisy area. The property manager was notified we couldn’t stay & basically said tough luck & gave us no money back. Super bummed & feel if there is NOT AC it should list that vs the renters finding out once they arrive. Running water & electricity werent listed in the description but were available - same same IMO. Very disappointed

Perfect getaway before the start of school

Nice and clean two bedroom condo, with ocean view and easy access to the beach. It was perfect for our family made easy to pack up and walk to the beach. Great bars and restaurants nearby for all ages. Just a minor set back and I mean minor was finding parking on the weekend but it’s expected since e everyone is traveling to the beach for the weekend.

Exactly as advertised & perfect location

The hosts have thought of everything a guest could need from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathroom…best shower head ever!, quiet efficient ceiling fans in each room, enough USB power outlets for everyone. EVERYTHING in the arrival instructions was as described. The location of this place in the unique area of Pacific Beach is ideal. We strolled every morning and evening, felt safe and enjoyed the wide variety of friendly, happy people. We made daily use of the beach chairs provided. We fell asleep to and woke up to the soothing sound of the waves. Highly recommend!

Amazing Location

The location is amazing, and the property was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The hosts were super responsive and helpful for anything we needed. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 was that the listing says 3 bedrooms (in some places, in others it says 2), and there's no way around that it's 100% a 2 bedroom property. Fortunately our kids were fine sharing a room, but if we had planned to be there with any more people, there would have been a real issue with sleeping. For families with small kids - some windows are missing screens which was kind of scary for us with 2 small ones - but the host said she would get that fixed. Lots of comments already about the small parking spot - but it's so small a Prius doesn't even comfortably fit - so keep in mind if you're going to try to use the spot. Also a note that the outdoor shower doesn't work, so we were tracking sand into the unit a lot so that was kind of a bummer (both for us and I imagine the people who cleaned it after we left). Overall, would stay again - unit was clean, stocked with amenities it promised, laundry worked great and was helpful!

Girls Trip

We had a great time! Location is fantastic, we loved packing up the chairs, the ice chest and walking 30 seconds to hang out at the beach. The restaurants are close and convenient. Amazing location!

Perfectly located right on the ocean, the sound and sight of the waves right outside our window was mesmerizing and beautiful. Julie and Hank were easy to communicate with, and very helpful when we had a little trouble finding street parking. The space is beautiful and clean and welcoming - great find!

Beautiful location

My family of four stayed here during our vacation to San Diego. The apartment was so clean, beautiful and spacious for us. The proximity to the beach was THE BEST! Owner was easy to work with, quick response time and friendly. Highly recommended!

Perfect Vacation Rental

My husband and I stayed here twice! 3 days prior to leaving for Hawaii for our honeymoon and 1 night on our way back. The location was perfect and the apartment was so beautiful and airy. Communication between the owner was great and they were very accommodating. Thank you for a great stay.

Honeymoon Mini Stay

My husband and I started our honeymoon in San Diego for a couple days. This apartment was perfect. Right next to the beach and easy to walk to many places! Great ocean breeze and view from the bedroom.

Very loud neighbors,

My boyfriend and I traveled from Virginia for a relaxing spring break. Pros: the location is gorgeous. You can see the ocean from the living room and bedroom. The house is very clean and has all of the essentials you might need. The owner is very responsive to questions. Entry to the building is easy for check in. There is a really nice garage in the event you have a car. Cons: it is a very noisy neighborhood. Many teens and young adults going in and out of the apartment, slamming doors and hanging out, partying, outside the building. Playing music or yelling, nothing criminal just constant. It is loud even after hours of midnight or 1am on weeknights. Because there is no heating/AC the open windows make the noise even harder to ignore. There was a leak in the ceiling when we were there from the living room. We put out a bucket and the owner came with a contractor when we were out for lunch but just came back to a bigger bucket for the leak. It made for a less than ideal vacation since we felt awkward about managing home repairs while on vacation, but understand the owner wasn’t aware of the pre existing issue. Overall I wouldn’t rent this location again but it is no fault of the owner. After traveling from Virginia, It wasn’t the relaxing trip we had hoped for sadly.

There is a bike track at the front of our property that goes along the whole of Mission Beach , Pacific Beach all the way to LaJolla. Just two short blocks away is Mission Bay with miles and miles of bike tracks , sailing and watersports
