Let me start by saying this, the location of this home is perfect, the views are awesome, and we really enjoyed are stay. However, when you rent a luxury vacation rental you kind of want your money you spend to match the property. You can tell right when you walk in the door that this is strickly a rental home, there has not been any love put into this place in years. They are counting on the location and views to over shadow the other stuff. For the luxury price we paid, these are some of the things we encountered. Broken Blinds in the master bath, there were sheets for the sofa sleeper, but no pillows or blankets, there were three light bulbs out in the master bath, and one bulb out in the below bath, the front porch light was out, the master bath sink would not drain, we had to fix it ourselves to get it functional, the toilet in master bath and one in the below was not flushing correctly, we needed to adjust inside to get them working properly. We moved the couch in the living room back from the TV about 6-12 inches because it was to close to the TV, when we moved the couch back there was a bunch of popcorn and popcorn seeds all over the floor, as well as candy wrappers. We also found some kids toys on the living room floor out in the open that were obviosly over looked. In the drive way area there was a tree with its complete root system sitting on top of a pot that it wouldnt fit in, very weird, and lastly the gas for the gas grill was empty so we could not use it.
Look, I know some of these things sound petty, but for the price we are paying, also paying exter for Easter week, things should be practically perfect, and they were definatley not close to that.
Also, just an FYI, all the windows in the house, and back porch extra doors cant be opened, all the latches to open them have been removed. The furniture is circa 1980's, but for the most part fine. The dish washer is lower level quality, however the fridge was nice.
Again, with all that said, we had a great time, and really enjoyed the view and hearing the ocean constantly, but just saddly dissapointed in the lack of love for such an awesome house,
We spoke to the owners next door, and they confirmed that this place is strickly a rental property, and Rosemary Beach Rentals has been running it for years, so if your expecting luxury that matches the price you will not get it here unless they do some changing, but I wouldnt count on it.
