Das Pinecone Cottage ist unser neuestes Anwesen neben dem Erholungsgebiet Giants Ridge und befindet sich unter einem Hain hoch aufragender Nadelbäume mit Blick auf den wunderschönen Wynne Lake. Genießen Sie den direkten Zugang zum Mesabi Trail, zum Giants Ridge Mountainbike Park, zum alpinen und nordischen Skifahren, zum Strand, zum Spielplatz und zum Sommerpool / Whirlpool im Freien sowie zum klassischen „Lake Place“ im Norden von Minnesota. Ski Resort Komplex. Das Haus wurde im Jahr 2019 komplett renoviert und ist der perfekte Ort für Ihren Kurzurlaub im Norden!

Great Getaway Ski Weekend!

We stayed Friday to Monday. It’s a great location. Less than 5 minutes to the ski hill and 10 min from biwabik for groceries. Had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Cozy and modern. Perfect for our family getaway

Our family loves to get “up north” in the winter and the villa was just what we hoped. Clean and cozy, our family of 6 settled right in and enjoyed the loft sleeping area, the fireplace, cottage style table, and the well appointed kitchen. We loved the style and convenience to Giants Ridge for some chilly but enjoyable ski days. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had our door code in plenty of time. Arriving at night and in sub-zero temps, that was very appreciated. We all agreed we would come back.

We highly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well equipped--kitchen and baths had everything you could need. It was well-kept. Great location near the lake. Only glitch was that we didn't receive our door code in advance, so we had to call the property manager for access upon arrival, but our call was promptly answered and we got in right away. Great customer service.

The property exceeded expectations and was perfect for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, beds were comfortable, and the common spaces were light and bright! Clean and cozy cabin with a beautiful view

We were extremely happy with everything at this property! It was clean, well stocked, and comfortable in every way. The kids enjoyed the wonderful beach and playground area, and having the multiple docks was great for leaving the boat during the day. The lake and trails around the area give you plenty of things to do. We look forward to coming back to this area next year!

Perfect for a long weekend getaway

Beautiful, clean, well maintained place with a kitchen with all the essentials, deck with ample outdoor seating, and access to the lake where you can rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats for free as well as access to the resort’s pool, hot tub, tennis court, and fire pit. Also the check in process was extremely easy and did not require any person-to-person contact which of course is very valuable right now! Only comment is I did think from the photos on the listing that this unit looked out directly on the water, it actually overlooks another unit and then the trees and water are past that. Highly recommend and we will be coming back!

Up north getaway with lots of activities nearby

This was a good property for our multi generational group of 6. Cute remodel, but If there were any more people it would have felt a little tight in the common spaces. Excellent location right next to Mesabi trail & Giants Ridge. Took advantage of the pool, hot tub and stand up paddle boards (you will need to bring your own life jackets, which we didn’t find out until super late, but luckily had some). Outdoor fit pit & wood on premises and only a “city park style” charcoal grill. Tried fishing, but nothing was biting. Lake was was warm and clear. Property was safe for our teens to roam around a bit.

Snowmobiling and skiing family weekend

I wanted to buy this cabin - it was so perfectly located and perfect for our family. We will just have to settle for re-booking soon. The snowmobiling trail was immediately adjacent to the cabin and we rode for 100 miles - getting to tour the iron range from a sled is very cool. The next day we all skied downhill and were able to simply walk across the road with our gear. Very easy to return to the cabin for lunch and a break on the sunny deck. Our family thought we had the perfect long weekend together and we will definately recommend this cabin to others.

I am a degreed professional with a variety of passions and interests. In addition to an engineering career, I have worked in the natural foods industry (various roles over several years at a food co-op), nutritional counseling, and residential construction and interior design. For the past several years, I have been dedicated to the design/build of Green Gate Guest Houses- 10 unique lodging options within the Giants Ridge Recreation Area.

I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going!

I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Looking forward to some time in Scandinavia next.

Having operated my vacation rental properties for about a decade now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests from all over the planet, and have enjoyed being part of the community in my hosting and travels.

I enjoy this property because it a 1 minute walk to the skiing (alpine lifts and xc trails) in the winter, and next to all the summer recreation as well. Easy access just off the Giants Ridge Road, with the Mesabi Trail, hiking trails, beach/water sports, and Giants Ridge golf, mountain bike trails, climbing tower, and restaurants all within 1/4 mile.
