Unser Familienstrand ist eine Maisonette im einzigartigen Stil (2 separate Einheiten), von denen eine auf Straßenebene und die andere über der Straße zugänglich ist. Der 3 BR 1 BA ist unser Obergeschoss. Auf der Veranda können Sie morgens eine Tasse Kaffee oder abends ein Glas Wein trinken. Es gibt einen gefilterten Blick auf die Boardwalk Log Ride, den Kai und die Bucht. Die Küche wurde kürzlich mit neuen Geräten und einem Geschirrspüler umgebaut. Es öffnet sich zum Wohn- und Essbereich. Das Wohnzimmer ist hell und freundlich. Die Schlafzimmer und das Badezimmer befinden sich auf dem Flur und trennen den Wohn- und Essbereich schön. Es gibt eine private Terrasse mit Gasgrill, Feuerstelle und bunten Marktlichtern. Wenn Sie Fahrräder mitbringen, können Sie diese hier abstellen, da das Tor ein Schloss hat. Wenn die Gäste im Erdgeschoss Fahrräder haben, können sie dort auch abstellen. Die Terrasse steht zu Ihrer Verfügung, kann aber mit anderen geteilt werden, wenn Gegenstände gesichert werden müssen.

Not too big and not too small. Just the perfect size. And location, you can’t beat it.

This was a wonderful apartment to stay in. Although you don’t have a direct ocean view, you are Literally three minutes walking time away from the boardwalk. It’s a great place for family and friends.

Great Santa Cruz get away

The property was great. I felt so special and welcomed. The place was super clean it was decorated for the. Christmas season. We all had a great time and had plenty of room to hang out. They offered snacks and the kitchen was well stocked. We walked 5 minutes to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. There was also a house that was decorated for the Christmas season just behind the house. We had a blast.

clean, comfortable and has everything you need

We loved staying here. It was less than 5 minutes to walk to the boardwalk, but far enough away that our sleep was sound. soundbright beach was wonderful (maybe 10 minute walk). The house was clean and had everything we needed including plenty of extra pillows, blankets and things you'd forget at home (toothbrushes, snacks, shampoo, even menstrual products!). The host was quick to respond to our inquiry when we weren't able to intuit how to lock the door. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Cute beach getaway

We used Susan’s place for a group of friends to stay the weekend of the wedding and it was just what we needed. When we walked in, there was a bottle of red wine on the table and snacks available. We loved being able to walk to the beach and hang out in the living room.

One of the most kid-friendly rentals we've stayed in!

This rental is so family friendly! Walking distance to the beach, great park, and boardwalk. Perfect for our family with tons of toys, bunk beds, stool for the bathroom, coloring books, crayons, games, candy, and snacks. There's also a pack-n-play and highchair if needed. The house is clean, recently remodeled, comfy beds and lines. You have access to a broom, vacuum, and cleaning supplies to help keep the place comfortable while there with kids. There's also a W&D and laundry detergent and fabric softener. There is also a ton of other helpful things like ziplock bags, aluminum foil, rubber bands, pens, flash lights, bags, and portable fans to every room to help with white noise. If we ever come back so Santa Cruz we will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this home!!

Short walk to the Boardwalk

Had a great time celebrating my son’s 8th birthday with two of his buddies. A quick walk to the Boardwalk and they had so much fun bunking together in the kids room. Very easy access and close to everything. Smelled and looked very clean and inviting.

Nice residential neighborhood

Very clean and quiet on the second floor, with large windows and ocean breeze. We enjoyed the outdoor private patio with firepit. Walked to Seabright beach and lighthouse, boardwalk, restaurants, coffee, grocery store, and boat harbor. Kayaked off the wharf with the seals, otters, and cormorants. We always had available street parking for a second car right in front using the guest parking pass provided. We were there during Covid with masks on and off and avoiding people, boardwalk was quiet except for a few fries and taffy shops, and restaurants were serving with spread out patio seating. Went to Laili’s in downtown, dinner was very good.

My parents and their friends purchased our place many years ago. My grand parents who immigrated from Italy first started vacationing in Santa Cruz. Then they brought their kids (my dad being one of them) and always rented in the Seabright neighborhood. Now my grandparents and dad have passed, my mom still enjoys coming to Santa Cruz accompanied by family, such as me or my siblings, grand children and now great grandchildren. The torch was passed, I am no longer 6, skating around the block, but managing the property and learning to be a great host!!! Being an RN, taking care of people is a great background for that and I love helping to make for a great experience.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Everyone who stays at our place, and there have been people who return year after year for 20 years, say that above all, they love the location. They enjoy being able to stroll down to the beach, the harbor, restaurants, coffee places, the Boardwalk, wharf. Not having to use the car much is something people like. There are those that drive into town, pick up their groceries and never use the car again. With kids, it is nice that they can walk down to the Boardwalk and can easily go back an forth. In recent years we turned the side yard into a place to hang out, with fire pit and grill, colored market lights!
We are always striving to make our place more comfortable and cozy. There is now a new kitchen where we took out a wall and it opens up to the living room, making the whole area brighter and cohesive. The model for over 50 years had been renting to university students September to June, then our family had weeks in the summer only. What weeks not used by us were rented to family friends. So, the newest change in all of this, is opening it up for new guests to come year long, and for our family to enjoy during the "off" season.

The summer is fun in Santa Cruz, the energy is high, it is great. But little known is how awesome the weather is in many of the off season months. It is beautiful most of the time. I love being there when it rains, sitting in a cafe' or coffee place at the ocean side, watching the surf.
The Boardwalk is nearby. You can hear the roar of the Big Dipper, and the excited screams from the passengers! Also you will hear the bark of the sea lions coming from the wharf. And the crash of the waves when the tide is in and waves are good size.
In December, our neighbor has an elaborate Christmas display. People come from all over to see.
It is a nice quiet neighborhood where we all look out for each other.
