Beautiful, relaxing vacation

What a wonderfully cozy, welcoming and cute home!

We had a lovely stay at this property. The house was comfortable, smelled fantastic, and so well decorated! The deck is wonderful and I bet even more impressive in the fall when leaves are changing colors! The owners thought of everything in this home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and even had treats and snacks available. Would recommend to anyone who is seeking a getaway a little off the beaten path.

Perfect House for Families

We loved everything about this house! It was perfect! Very clean. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Literally more kitchen appliances and utensils than we have at home. Tons of counter space and room for several people to cook at once. Excellent coffee bar. Fun game room and arcade with every boxed/board game you can think of. Beautiful farmhouse dining table with room for everyone. Thoughtful amenities throughout. Very comfortable beds with cozy bedding. Lovely decor and views of nature. We enjoyed the fire pit and s’Mores with roasting sticks that were provided. Nice TVs in every room that we rarely used because there was so many other things to do! The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back! By far a favorite VRBO for our family. We traveled with our daughter’s family. Our young grandsons loved it!

So relaxing, the perfect get away!

I booked this trip for my best friend’s bachelorette trip. When I was looking for properties I stumbled across this one and I just couldn’t get it out of my head! I went ahead and booked it and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The owners were so kind and easy to communicate with throughout the weekend and happy to answer any of my questions. The property was clean and was stocked with a snack basket and coffee! We enjoyed the hot tub and the games, feeding the cows was definitely a huge highlight of our trip! Each morning we spent on the deck listening to the wildlife taking it all in and enjoying a break from the hustle and bustle of life! We will definitely be back, highly recommend if you find yourself needing a break from reality!

Home away from home

We had a great time staying at The View. It was such a well cared for and comforting farmhouse. My kids enjoyed the game room and played more board games than video games that I've seen in awhile lol. We also got to bottle feed a baby cow by the kindness of our hosts. My daughter was so tickled by that! We cooked on the blackstone two of the three nights we were there and food was great. We also got to feed Becky and the other cow on property. We enjoyed that as well. Hot tub was clean and nice. The home was also so clean! We enjoyed our stay and know others will too.

Bubbling in the Tub!

From the moment we walked in this home we felt at peace. Tucked away on a private road, it is just perfect! Top quality finishes, and everything you would need and more is supplied. The views are as advertised; the views from the back porch are spectacular! From the hot tub we watched hawks soar and the clouds roll by. This place is named appropriately. Very special place - don't miss your chance to be there!! We would love to buy this place!!

Every Detail Thought Of!

I have never stayed in a cleaner, better appointed place than this! Every single detail was thought of, organized, and labeled. Everywhere I looked, something else surprised me with the thoughtfulness that went into preparing this property. The deck was gorgeous with amazingly comfortable rocking chairs. The hot tub was perfectly clean and spacious. The beds were unbelievably soft and comfortable! The entire house was spotless! We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Exactly As Advertised!

I couldn't be happier with this property and the manager. It is exactly as advertised and the perfect "getaway" for a family or group or couple. As soon as you as you pull onto the property, it's very clear this is a well-cared for, private, and beautiful piece of Ohio. I took my wife and kids ages 7-16 for spring break and I knew it was the right fit when ALL of them told me "great job dad!" as soon as they walked in the door and saw the place. I hate to ruin the surprise, but by far the best part were the sunsets as seen from atop the hill.

Perfect Family Getaway

The house is well equipped with everything needed to have fun and make memories. It is clean. We loved the birds and the book to help identify them. Communication was quick, helpful, and easy. My kids are already asking to go back next year for Spring Break.

Clean, spacious, secluded

We loved our time at the View Getaway! Great communication with the host, private location but only 15 min from Great Serpent Mound and about 20 min from Hillsboro (grocery stores & 18 hole disc golf course). Especially enjoyed the hot tub under the stars and the wall mounted arcade game system.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway, the house is beautiful, its organized and decorated so well, every attention to detail given. Beautiful scenery, birds EVERYWHERE. The biggest blue Jays and cardinals we have ever seen! A hotube out on the back deck with a gorgeous view! A game room- so cute. We absolutely will be returning!

Perfect spot

We absolutely loved the vacation house: the cows, the hot tub, the Blackstone, and all of the little extra throughout the house. The hosts go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable and it doesn’t go unnoticed. The only minor detail we did not like about the house was the long drive to get to a store or restaurant. There wasn’t much to do in the general area, so just make sure that’s not a top priority for your stay.

Clean, comfortable beds, lots of amenities

Our group stayed here for our annual New Years trip and agreed this is the best place we’ve chosen so far! Cathryn and Brent are attentive hosts and the house is well stocked with kitchen supplies, snacks, games, and lots of soft blankets. The house is spotless and all the beds are very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the cows, and watching the birds at the feeder each morning. The surrounding area is quite rural so this place is perfect for a group looking to spend some quality time together in one house. I absolutely recommend this rental.

Perfect Winter Retreat

We stayed for 2 nights with our 4 daughters, age range of 8-14, and had the best time! This was a perfect place for us connect as a family and relax for a few days. We did venture out for a few activities in Hillsboro but mostly enjoyed spending time at the house. The owners definitely did a great job making a comfy and cozy home. The girls really enjoyed the cows too!

Girls Reunion

House was super cute. Very very clean. They had everything in the kitchen that we needed. Deck was perfect for visiting. We loved the hot tub. And it was the best firepit we have ever come across at a rental. This was our 8th year of an annual trip. The area is rural, rolling and beautiful. We enjoyed going to see The Serpent Mount. Fascinating Stuff. The owners of this cabin take great care in this property. They had pumpkins and gorgeous mums around the house as well. We would definitely come back here.
