In many ways, the apartment offers the best of all worlds. It is situated right in the heart of Val Thorens, yet with direct access on to the slopes. It is within 100m of all the shops and restaurants, yet in a quiet side street. Facing south-west with a large balcony it has stunning uninterrupted views over the pistes and down the valley.
Val Thorens is Europes highest ski resort situated at 2300m at the top of the three valleys ski area, the world’s largest ski area.
Being such a high resort, you are guaranteed doorstep skiing on some of the best high-altitude snow from November to May (as well as during the summer on the glacier).

Skiing/Snow Boarding: The skiing in Val Thorens and the Three Vallayes is simply amazing. It boasts some 600km of varied pistes for the absolute beginner to the most adventurous advanced skier.
With 46 green, 101 blue, 108 red and 35 black pistes, 124km of Cross-Country trails, 1400 Snow Cannons, and a lift capacity of 243,000 skiers per hour, The Three Valleys ski domain is the largest in the world.
A choice of lift passes is available: Val Thorens, The Bellevedere Valley or the entire 3 Valleys. Beginners can use the many free ski lifts in the area.

Summer: Val Thorens is also a vibrant summer mountain resort offering a full range of activities from summer skiing on the glacier to hiking. From tennis to swimming. From rock-climbing to cycling. For those in to mountain biking, there is the possibility of using the ski lifts in the summer to access the many marked mountain bike trails that cover the whole of the 3 valleys.

the minimum at an OK price

Good:- The apartment is located right next to the slopes; you can go directly from the ski room to the slope that leads to the main lifts.- It's very easy to park and unload your equipment.- Very close to P1, especially a short walking distance.- A convenient space at the entrance for hanging ski suits and related equipment, so it doesn’t create a mess inside the apartment.- A supermarket nearby.Not Good:- No Wi-Fi, despite stating that there is (also no good mobile reception).- No oven, even though it says there is.- It was mentioned that there are two rooms, but in reality, there is one cramped room with two bunk beds and a very small living room with a sofa that turns into a bed (you can open a partition that separates the living room from the kitchen, but I wouldn’t call it a room in any way...).- No basic household items, no kitchen towel, no bath mat, and there wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom...- Very small TV, mounted on a side wall, which makes it uncomfortable to watch...In Conclusion: If you’re looking for a very minimalist apartment at a reasonable price with no extra features, this would be a suitable place (I wouldn’t stay there with more than three people, even though they say it’s suitable for up to six). It will provide you with the most basic needs, but nothing beyond that... The communication with the owners was fine, they responded quickly, but they didn’t address the Wi-Fi issue when we asked them to take care of it...

Had a fantastic week, accommodation was great for the 3 of us. Apartment was warm and comfortable, plenty of hot water for 3. Check in very easy, apartment well equipped, great to have a kettle and good sized mugs for tea

Fantastic location

Super good location

Super good location by the slopes and near the supermarket. I enjoyed having the ski room. The only problem was with the internet. Both 4g and WiFi where very weak.

definitely great for 2 people (not more, but this is a personal feeling). Perfect location with respect to the ski slopes. The wifi is a disaster (the weakest point of the apartment).

Family ski trip

Ski in ski out was awesome, ski locker in the building was large, ample space for whole family. Toboggan run directly outside the door which the kids loved and close enough to monitor them from the balcony if you wanted. Easy to dry equipment in the apartment, plenty of storage, unlimited hot water. Also very quiet. Couldn’t hear the neighbours at all.

Unbelievable Location

In terms of location, you simply cannot get better :-) The Hosts were absolutely incredible to deal with, so helpful from the time we booked, right through our stay and even post stay. Their apartment is wonderful, clean and has the amenities needed. It was slightly small for us but thats only because we're used much larger accommodation but it would not stop us from staying again. If i could make one suggestion, if you are dependent on good Wifi, it can be limited. The TV reception wasnt great either so Imay be worth downloading some things before you come if you have kiddies. Otherwise, loved eveything about this stay and the Hosts made it all worthwhile, Thank you Anne-Marie and Andrew. The Anderson Clan

good price/quality ratio

Positive: very good location and rather well equipped apartment (microwave, dishwasher, ceramic hob...), very good interactions with the owner. Negative: the bathroom (no shower head support...this is very bad) and the very (but very) limited wifi bandwidth. Suitable for max 2 adults (and maybe +1 or +2 young child).

4 days in Val Thorens

The apartment is exceptionally convieneant for the slopes, from the apartment block locker room you can simply exit the back door onto a beginers / free slope which in turn takes you to the heart of the lift system. The locker room unfortuanly does not have a boot warmer but your board / skis are safe. The apartment is clean and in good repair. The quantity of hot water was a little less than desirable, two bath fulls which with more than two people in the apartment can be a problem. The front room double bed is in fact a pull out sofa and the mattresses are at different levels so not ideal for husband and wife. We rented the apartment with four of us staying in it which was OK but you had to be exceptionally tidy as space is tight and there is little storage.

Emplacement idéal en famille

L'appartement est à 10m des casiers à ski, de plain pieds avec les pistes, ce qui est très pratique pour les enfants car il n'y a quasiment pas de portage. On part et on revient skis aux pieds. La piste de luge est juste en contre bas et est parfaite pour l'après ski des enfants, on peut les surveiller du balcon. La galerie marchande est a 2 minutes. L'appartement est plutôt spacieux et bien agencé, avec suffisamment de dégagement à l'entrée pour ranger les affaires de ski. L'équipement est assez rustique mais suffisant pour une semaine (à noter l'absence de vrai four). Le point seul point négatif est que lors de notre arrivée, il y avait une forte odeur de chien probablement laissée par l'animal de nos prédécesseurs. Bonne expérience dans l'ensemble, emplacement parfait.

Hi, We are the Derrys; Andrew, Anne-Marie and 4 lively children. Although we are British, we have spent many years working in various parts of the world. Andrew is a Director of an international school and Anne-Marie is a Marketing Director. We all love the mountains, and especially skiing. Ever since we worked in Geneva, we have always loved Val Thorens, summer and winter.

Our apartment is ideal for people who love convenient skiing. It is directly on the Val Thorens pistes, so you can ski to and from your doorstep. It also has a large balcony overlooking the piste and west-facing so you get the afternoon sun all the way to sundown.
