Comfortable with a view

This home is well appointed and comfortable. The views are awesome and the neighborhood is very nice. Close to downtown. We have booked this place 3 times because we enjoy it so much.

Second stay as good as the first

Great place. Love the very well supplied kitchen. Location, view, layout are perfect for us. The driveway can be tricky, but once you are there you can pretty much walk to anywhere in La Conner. Host has been wonderful to work with. Will be returning again.

Perfectly beautiful!

This house was perfect for two couples. Cozy spaces to gather on the main floor with very private bedroom quarters on the bottom and top floors, each with their own private bathrooms. We wanted for nothing, in terms of supplies and furnishings. The location was excellent, allowing us to leave our cars at the residence and enjoying a short stroll to restaurants and shops We will be back!!!

Lovely Getaway

The property was clean, very spacious and had everything we could ask for. This vacation rental was the most well furnished place we have stayed in and the kitchen was like home. We did not want to leave.

Great home

This was a great place and looked exactly like the pictures. It has a great view of La Conner and behind the house is a walking trail (stairs) that leads to one of the main streets. As long as you have no mobility issues, this is a nice, safe home to stay in, in a perfect location. The beds were comfortable and the little nook by the fireplace was probably my favorite spot. It put off a lot of heat. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house itself was probably the cleanest I’ve stayed in on VRBO. There are a couple TVs and they each have streaming options, which was nice. It was too cold for us to use the patio/deck areas but I imagine in the summer they’re fantastic. The location was in easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Simply Wonderful!

Our second stay in this lovely home did not disappoint! The view, the quiet, the bird watching from the reading nook, the well-stocked kitchen, super comfortable bed, warm fireplace, cozy lower level & just overall pleasant stay would be hard to equal. To top it all off the hosts are wonderful and the cleanliness is top notch. Definitely our favorite local place to get away and just rest. We’ll keep coming back as long as this one’s available. :)

A jem in La Conner

We stayed for a week that covered Christmas at this property in La Conner, WA. What a fantastic home! Check in was very easy with the owners contacting us prior to our arrival. The house was immaculate, with a gourmet kitchen that had plenty of plates, pans, glassware, bakeware, etc... that you would need to use over a holiday weekend. There is no cable service, but the owners have many of the online streaming services available along with a Sonos sound system you can BT into. Bedrooms were comfortable with adjustable beds and the bathrooms were super clean with all the soaps, shampoos, and conditioners provided. The home sits on a granite hill above La Conner, with great views of the downtown stores. A small path at the end of the driveway takes you to some stairs and then down to street level, where there are many small town restaurants and stores. We would gladly stay there again!

Simply wonderful!

Husband and I stayed for a long weekend just the 2 of us. From the moment we stepped inside we could tell that the owners cared about the home. First, it was incredibly clean! For those who don’t have pets, you’d never know that they allow small dogs on property. If you’re avoiding this place due to that, I strongly advise you reconsider so you don’t miss out on this gem! Everything was just as nice or better than all the wonderful reviews & listing described. I especially loved how it felt nestled in the trees & the way the natural light filled the main room from morning to night. The light diffusing blinds were a welcome feature when the sun got a little too direct in our eyes depending on where we were sitting. We enjoyed the home so much that apart from a brief outing to get some take-out, we decided to stay inside and enjoy the quiet calm of a weekend unplugged instead of wandering about the beautiful town of La Conner (we’ll save that for our next visit). Excellent communication. REALLY appreciated the very thorough welcome/information binder. One of the best VRBO experiences we have had!

Our love for LaConner

From the moment you walk into this beautiful home you feel right at home. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook while you are there. Walking distance to town. Will be back!

Perfect house for 2 couples. There are three floors - the main floor has the living, dining, kitchen, reading area and a small deck. The lower area has the guest bedroom, bath, family/exercise room and access to a patio. The upper area is the master bedroom & bath and the larger deck. There's also a guest bath and laundry room on the main level. It was nice to have so many options for space to yourself without having to hide in a bedroom. We enjoyed our stay immensely. It's as nice as it looks in the pictures. The reading area near the fireplace and the upper deck were our favorites spots to hang out. Communication was excellent and the place was spotless. Nice location, although the drive way could be a little tricky if you're driving a large vehicle like a long-bed, crew-cab pickup. We weren't and didn't have any problems. We were there 3 nights and never used our cars - everything was easy walking distance. With the colorful houses and everything in bloom getting somewhere was half the fun. Already looking forward to returning next year.

Very comfortable + great location

This charming house was so comfortable (very nice beds, sheets, towels, bath products, etc.) and an easy walk to shops and dining. Sometimes the best things in life are unexpected. ...

We spent 17 nights at Ron and Cherie’s home over the holidays for our 34th wedding anniversary. On Christmas Eve an unseasonable snowstorm moved into the area and continued for the next several days as temperatures dipped down to 11 degrees. What better place to be snowed in at than this absolutely gorgeous home? The snow blanketed the village turning La Conner into a winter wonderland resembling a Norman Rockwell painting! So pretty! We were unable to get out for several days and Cherie and Ron made sure we were well taken care of and they sent a very efficient, local 4 man crew (Thanks Tobias) that came to our rescue and dug us out then they came back two days later after it snowed again, shoveled and retreated the driveway. This is one of the classiest homes we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. Ron and Cherie have taken the time and thought of all those little extras to pamper guests and make your stay so very special. We appreciated the wine and flowers that greeted us on arrival for our anniversary. Very nice touch! This home is spotless and everything is so very well organized. The home is stocked with top of the line items like the high quality cooking pans, the much appreciated sharp German knives, luxurious, thick bath towels, soft linens, and all the baking supplies needed. We enjoy cooking and the only thing we did not find was a mortar and pestle for fresh herbs and spices (probably not a big priority for most guests) but we may have just overlooked that in all the very well stocked cupboards and cabinets with convenient pull out shelves. Our favorite place in the house was the sitting room with the comfortable red leather chairs, surrounded by all the big windows and next to the gorgeous and very warm gas F/P. Our little Mi-Ki and Havanese enjoyed curling up next to the toasty FP as we enjoyed sipping our coffee in the mornings while watching the city below, and being entertained by the beautiful hummingbirds at the feeder. Total relaxation and just what we needed! Hope to be back again!

This was by far the most beautiful Home we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you would ever need! No children allowed!😁

My husband and I had an amazing time here. The house being a staircases away from the town was spectacular. Made it so we could just park our car and get everything we needed with less than a 1/16th mile away. With the well thought out binder of info and all the menu ideas we didn't have to cook once. Not that cooking would of been hard in the kitchen because there was quite literally everything you could possibly need to make any meal, desert or drink you could possibly think to make.. The view from the decks and giant windows was spectacular, from the town to the beautiful country side. The view was totally unobstructed being on the hill like it is. The birds even in the winter were fun with the well placed hummingbird feeder to being greeted by a hairing just sitting in the Douglas fir right outside was so fun all while we sat in the coffee nook. OMG the BATHTUB! JUST OMG!🥰 then to top it off the # 1 rule being "No Children allowed " made our weekend. With all the time we had to ourselves we were able to truly enjoy the art work on the walls and ofcourse around the town. What a wonderful Birthday weekend for my husband and I. Truly it was perfect. From the first minute we drove in we began to smile. Cherie is the founder and a current owner of WE Trust Company, a Seattle fiduciary services company. She is currently the Board Chair while she explores retirement. Ron is a founder of a downtown Seattle law firm with which he is still affiliated but also is entering retirement retaining a focus on a very small number of long-time clients. Ron and Cherie were active boat owners for many years. Mooring their boat here brought them to La Conner. As they entered retirement, they chose to sell the boat to allow for more time to enjoy our home in La Conner as well as spend time in their home in Arizona, also a VRBO property, and to travel.

This property is their home. Because they spend as much as six months away from it, they wanted to extend it to others. It is modern and has modern amenities usually associated with luxury hotels at a price that is much less for just a room. They have a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to stay in. Their house is within a few minutes walking to a large choice of exceptional dining out experiences. It is cozy yet has a gorgeous view of water and mountains. Not many other VRBO properties offer all of this.

This location in La Conner is very close to lovely golf courses, an array of nice shops, several ski areas, boating and kayaking as well as the gateway to the San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island. It is two hours away from SeaTac airport but only sixty minutes from Everett's Paine Field, forty-five minutes from Bellingham's International Airport and less than two hours of no traffic from Vancouver's International Airport. While in the midst of an active small town, the house is remarkably quiet.
