So we book the property, they money was paid and email along with codes were sent to me. We flew down from Philly on Memorial day weekend. We got this Saturday went to check in. Security security gate said our name was not on his list and we would have to call the property owner to have him put it on. The number on file of course was disconnected. Call VROB who called the owner and said give 15 minutes and they’ll notify security the names so we can get in. In the meantime security gave us a one day pass while it was ironed out. After dinner we came back went went to the home to find another family was in there. I called the owner of the property mad asking what’s going on. He dismissed me told me it wasn’t his problem I had had no care that he double book the home. So we found ourselves stranded at Disney World on a holiday weekend we’re no rooms existed anywhere! After driving around 10 at night and calling everybody we found a place. Next I had to file a claim with the VROB to even get my money refunded to me. They didn’t care that I was up routed and at the mercy of paying an extremely outrageous rate so we were not stuck sleep in the car all weekend. They didn’t pay the difference in fact they didn’t even refund me my money I need to wait 7 days for it.
More importantly it seems they’re OK with property owners doing this to people. This property owner should not be allowed to be listed to the sites at all. It’s not right to screw over people who are 15 hours away from home and planed a family trip like this. VROB and The property owner destroyed our holiday weekend.
