Tolle Lage, bequem zum Sombrero Beach! Perfekt zum Kajakfahren! Dieses hübsche, neuere Stelzenhaus befindet sich in einer privaten, ruhigen Wohngegend, nur 3 Häuserblocks vom Sombrero Beach und 5 Minuten oder weniger mit dem Boot vom offenen Atlantik entfernt! 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder, alle Fliesenböden, schöne Küche mit Granitfliesen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit einer tollen ebenerdigen Dusche. Die Halle Bad hat Badewanne / Dusche-Kombination.
Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat auch eine Königin und das dritte Schlafzimmer ein Etagenbett mit einem Doppel-und Zweibettzimmer. Es gibt eine neue Waschmaschine / Trockner, erweiterte Grund TV, WIFI! Fernseher im Master sowie im Wohnzimmer.
Sie werden die abgeschirmte Veranda mit Blick auf die Wasserstraße lieben, die das Haus von zwei Seiten umgibt. Neuer Gasgrill, Tisch und Stühle zum Essen und Entspannen im Freien! Brandneues Dock mit Badeleiter, um das Starten von Kajaks zu vereinfachen, und empfohlene kleinere Boote mit Außenbordmotoren, da die Mündung des Kanals bei Ebbe nur wenig Wasser enthält. Der Kanal wurde gerade ausgebaggert, um den Zugang zu erleichtern! Nur Außenbordmotoren empfehlen!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood

Pros: Perfect size house for small family. The location is great. It is a quiet spot with close access to a lot of activities. The screen porch is a huge plus. The kitchen is nice. The primary bath shower is nice too. There is a freezer for bait. Use it to keep the bait away from raccoons.Cons: It is very difficult to use kayaks directly from the property. We are avid kayakers, so we rented this place because of the description. Other places in that area have lower docks, a floating platform at the bottom of the stairs, and/or a hardened path leading to the water for kayak use. This place does not have any of those, and the distance from the dock to the water is quite high. The kayaks/paddles on site are not very nice, but they are useable if you are a small person or for children. We brought two of our own, and we should have just rented two others for the week. The place could use a few portable chairs to take to Sombrero Beach or on the fishing bridges. It would be nice to get the old grill out of the screen porch. I can’t imagine guests would use it. It is old/dirty and is taking up prime real estate in the screen porch. The kitchen could use a decent size baking dish for making family dinners. The inside does not matter much to us when we go to the Keys, but we do like to make our own food. If you care about living space, the furniture needs a good cleaning.Overall it is a very nice vacation house for small families or couples.

Great location and easy check in!

Our family of 5 stayed during the first week of June ‘24. The house was clean and everything was as described. The canal was just steps off the carport area and Sombrero Beach was a short walk down the road. My only complaint was the walkway to the dock was a bit overgrown and one kayak had a broken seat back which made it difficult to use. Not a complaint, but it would be great to have a couple of chairs and an umbrella available for the beach. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Our favorite place

We will continue to come back because we love this place so much. Spacious, great location, Sombrero Beach is lovely. This place has everything we need. Beach toys for the kids, everything you might need in the kitchen, nice screed in deck to eat and hang out outside. The decor is super cute and even the shower is awesome. Can't wait to return!

Great dock and location

Nice place and huge dock. Surprised it didn’t have a fish cleaning station and water at the dock. No problem with getting in/out with a small boat. There was no bait freezer but they delivered one the same day.

Wonderful stay at this this house in Marathon. Right by Sombrero Beach. House was clean, and well appointed. Jessica was great to work with. Check in and check out are easy and we have a wonderful week in the keys.

Great House in an even better location

The house is great. Plenty of privacy in a nice area of Marathon. Short walk to Sombrero Beach. The kids loved the beach and the playground. The house and property were both very clean. I was a little worried about getting the boat to the dock but we didn't have any problems. The water at the dock was plenty deep enough for my 21' Key West. The water depth at the mouth of the lagoon was around two feet at low tide. The house provides nearly immediate access to the Atlantic. The dock sits fairly high above the water which made launching the kayaks a bit difficult, but doable. We would absolutely consider staying at this location again on a future trip. We had one issue with the air conditioner leaking water but the host responded immediately to my message and a technician was onsite within a couple of hours. The house was perfect for our trip.

Good neighborhood, nice and clean. Unrepaired broken towel rack in master bath with the broken parts laying on the window sill. Dishwasher not secured so be careful with the door open. Any noise really travels through the house. Air conditioner condensing unit outside master bedroom so you hear it running while trying to sleep. Comfortable beds. Overall, a decent place for a weeks stay. If it was on a decent canal it would be very good.

Quiet, secluded hide-away

Photos represent the property well. The home was clean and well-cared for. There are plenty of towels, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds and furniture. Our family really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood on the dead-end road and being the last house at the end of the canal. The screened-in porch was really nice to enjoy and we loved watching the geckos run across the screen. The dock was a fun place to see mullets jumping, crab, a nurse shark, needlefish, osprey, and other resident birds. We struggled to get the kayaks we rented into the water from the dock, especially at low tide. The kayaks with the property were in fairly poor condition including missing plugs so we didn't have enough for everyone. The short walk to Sombrero Beach was fantastic. We enjoyed swimming, talking with locals and seeing the ocean life. It is a quick kayak trip as well but we had strong winds making it very tough on the ocean side. You can launch your kayaks right from Sombrero Beach, into the large canal making for a calming ride into the mangroves. It was a great choice for our family (2 adults and 3 kids 11+) and would happily book this property again.

Easy to communicate, clean and functional

The dock isn’t deep enough to get a boat in, but overall the house is clean and the one small issue was immediately fixed, easy to communicate with host. We would stay again. They even had some extras waiting for us.

Great House Near Sombrero Beach

This is a nice rental. It's very close to Sombrero Beach in a quiet community. The screened in porch is wonderful with the water views and trees on the property. Previous renters had left beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and fishing poles at the house, which was great because we flew to the Keys and couldn't bring those items. There were a few things I wish it had, like access to Netflix/Amazon. Overall though that didn't take away from this being a great house in a very nice area of Marathon.

Best of Florida Keys

Perfect location for buzzing throughout the keys to see everything. Sombrero Beach was just around the corner, in walking distance. Very nice place!

We loved staying here. Plenty of room, clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and fabulous screened porch. Lots cation was quiet and 5 minute walk to the beach. We loved it.

Quiet neighborhood, great location

This house is great for a small family or a few couples. We enjoyed the screen porch and some fishing on the peer. It was clean and had most everything we needed. There were some things that needed attention but there’s no way the manager would know unless you tell her. Although we addressed these they were not solved before we left and were minor inconveniences. The place is well maintained but could use a little attention in the yard. My advice to the owner is to paint the door, as it’s the first impression when you enter and it’s filthy and cheap. Once you open it though, the inside is sweet! We rented bikes and it takes only 2 minutes to ride them to Sombrero Beach. Lots of birds in the vicinity and even some critters that make a lot of noise at night when they’re stealing bait or trying to get in the garbage (probably raccoons). We will definitely consider renting this place again. Beautiful sunsets right from your private peer and some fish to be caught there as well. Beds were comfy, too
