Nur wenige Minuten zum O. U., Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit Blick auf einen privaten See sowie zwei Schlafzimmer und Terrassen. Es gibt eine voll ausgestattete Wohnküche mit Kaffee. Der Gästebereich ist privat, sicher und bietet Reisenden, Entdeckern und kleinen Familien eine angenehme Unterkunft. What an absolute gem!

This place was a real treasure. The apartment is in the bottom story of the home with floor to ceiling windows, showcasing the beautiful creek. We bumped into Carrie & Matt as we were arriving and they were generous to rattle off a few great hiking and food recommendations - we loved these! The hosts have done everything to make their cabin cozy and welcoming. Small flashlights on the nightstands, available toiletries, firm/quality mattresses, plenty of kitchenware - we loved all the small touches. We spent hours outside on the porch reading and talking and enjoying the view. Thanks for a great weekend!

Escape in the woods

Its a perfect getaway if someone wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was a beautiful house located at the banks of lake. We wanted to visit Hocking Hills State Park and this location was just 40 mins drive from there. A perfect place to relax.

OU Family weekend

Wonderful apartment in the woods under Owner's residence. View of woods and lake was beautiful. Minutes away from OU campus. Owner was very thoughtful with amenities and have the place set up nicely for guests. Pet friendly. We will come back again!

Great getaway, close to Athens and wineries

Great stay! Our old blind dog settled in easy and we were able to enjoy the weekend with our Ohio Bobcat! Well stocked kitchen, also had backup toiletries etc just in case. Pleasant Hill Winery is just down the road and Shade Winery is about 10 mins away. This was the least ‘buggy’ place we have tried in the area. Very well done and enjoyable stay.

They thought of everything!

We had a lovely experience! The apartment is in a treed area overlooking a lake… a variety of amenities and supplies were provided. We enjoyed getting to know Athens, Ohio and exploring Shrouds Run State Park. Pleasant Hill Vineyard and Little Fish Brewery were two highlights! Thank you! We hope to stay there again.

Home Base For The Windy 9

I had a very pleasant 5 night stay. Very peaceful location. It is a huge apartment with everything you could need. It was a great home base to ride the motorcycle roads of the Windy 9.

Retreat near the university

This was a wonderful home away from home in a beautiful natural setting that offered the feel of a retreat while being just a short ten minute drive too the center of the OU campus. Attentive and responsive hosts who also respect privacy, superb laundry facilities, wonderful view. Recommend without reservation!

Nive with caveat

Th property is nice. The apartment is very cozy and clean. The property is pretty. We have zero complaints about the comfort of the property. What isn't clear in the listing is that what you are renting is an apartment in the lower level of the pictured house which is also the owner's home. So while the house is comfortable, it isnt private. Had this been clear, we probably wouldn't have chosen to stay there with three rambunctious children. While the owner never complained, we were never the less constantly on guard to make sure the kids didn't make too much noise. The owners were pleasant to deal with and even cut us a break on the extra fees for having the kids. This would probably be a good place for a few adults that just need a clean place that is close to Athens.

Peaceful Haven

The apartment/cabin has the most peaceful surroundings and is just minutes away from Ohio University. The owners thought of just about anything you could need during your stay and it was very clean. You can't beat the view.

Peaceful retreat!

Quiet and peaceful location with lovely views. Short drive from OU campus. Well laid out space with nice extra touches... samples of locally made soaps, book with notes about the house and the area, waters stocked in the fridge. Would definitely return!

Peaceful, comfortable and welcoming

I had a short but wonderful stay at this apartment. It was extremely clean and welcoming and I felt comfortable staying there. As others have said, they thought of everything I could have needed. I was staying there from out of state to move my daughter into Ohio University and it was very convenient to the school. I would definitely enjoy staying here again.

Peaceful nature Retreat

This is the quietest and most peaceful home we've ever visited. The property is in the country, away from noise and distractions, but a short drive to restaurants and stores. The beds were so comfortable that we slept wonderfully. The surrounding area is farmland with cornfields and a winery. The view of the pond and forest made our stay very relaxing, and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing place to land in Athens

Lovely property and the hosts have thought of everything you might need and then some. The view and grounds are so pretty! We stayed with our two golden retrievers and the hosts even put out dog towels and couch covers for us. If you're traveling with dogs, I'd suggest potty breaks at the top of the property, which is a moderate walk up the steep gravel driveway. If you aren't limber or have older pets, this might be difficult.

Great place with Amazing Views!

This place is Awesome! What a nice little get away. The place is clean, modern, and the hosts are very accommodating. It's tucked away in the woods with great views from inside and on the 2 decks. Great place to stay if your visiting Athens or even if you don't mind a 45 minute drive to Hocking Hills. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful home outside of Athens. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and peacefulness. Close to restaurants and breweries which were all so good. Loved getting back to nature in the parks nearby. Wonderful hosts. Had everything we needed.

It was built by an architecture professor at Ohio, University who worked hard to create a home for his family that was beautiful and unique. You will enjoy the privacy and beauty of nature while still being only 8 minutes to from dining and city recreation.
