Fast der Himmel ist ein unglaubliches Ferienhaus: geräumig, professionell in luxuriösem, aber vernünftigem Stil eingerichtet und in einer großartigen Lage. Das Anwesen ist ruhig und privat und dennoch günstig zu den Restaurants, Geschäften und Aktivitäten in der Umgebung von Captiva Village (nur eine Minute zu Fuß vom Green Flash Restaurant entfernt). Der Strand des Golfs von Mexiko ist nur ein Haus entfernt und das Wasser kann vom sonnigen Balkon der Master Suite aus gesehen werden.

Die Zimmer sind groß und hell und einige bieten einen schönen Blick auf die Bucht oder den Golf von Mexiko. Das Haus verfügt über einen beheizten Pool mit Wasserfall aus dem eingebauten Whirlpool - alle umgeben von einer schönen Sonnenterrasse und privat mit dichter tropischer Landschaft.

Die Küche ist "ein Traum", wie Sie es von "Almost Heaven" erwarten können. Mit zusätzlicher Beleuchtung, einem hochwertigen eingebauten Mikrowellenherd, neuen Gehäusefronten, einem herausziehbaren Mülleimer und vielem mehr wurde es gerade zu einer süßen Perfektion aufgewertet. Die Küchenfenster blicken nach unten auf die Poolterrasse, wie auf den Fotos zu sehen ist.

Fast der Himmel ist ungewöhnlich für seinen umfassenden und intelligenten Einsatz modernster Technologie. Natürlich verfügt das Haus über eine unbegrenzte Anzahl von Telefonen (USA) und drahtlose Internetverbindung im ganzen Haus. Aber der Spaß beginnt wirklich mit den Unterhaltungssystemen.

Lovely time in Almost Heaven

Access to the beach was very good; we walked down the long driveway, crossed Captiva Dr (which did not have heavy traffic), and we were on the beach! The home was very nice and met our needs for space. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. There was plenty equipment for the beach -- 8 or 10 beach chairs in very good condition, 2 beach wagons, lots of beach towels, and a cooler. As we were packing up to leave, we found a Pack-N-Play. It would have been nice to know that it was there. The kitchen had adequate supplies, as did bathrooms. Want to note that Albert was very helpful when we called him with questions.

Almost Heaven Lives Up to Its Name

This was a family vacation that included 5 adults, two teenagers, three children ages 3-7 and an infant. The house accommodations were exactly what we needed. Plenty of space to gather as well as be able to have some alone time. It was very nice having two separate, but nearby, dining tables. The large kitchen area had two coffee pots and all the utensils, plates, and appliances we needed. For the beach, there was 10 chairs, 2 beach carts, plenty of towels and 1 umbrella; the other umbrella was broken. The house had board games, puzzles, and a ping pong table. It’s a great location, with close access to a beach area that is sparsely populated. Unfortunately, there remains the after effects of the hurricane; only a few stores were open and only to 6 pm. Overall, still a very relaxing and enjoyable location to vacation.

Best beach access house on Captiva

The house is comfortable and has wonderful amenities as far as a beach house goes. Every time we’re there it’s relaxing and easy to enjoy. Plenty of room for my family and would recommend to anyone looking to see the island for the first time. Property management is on point with any issues and takes care of guests if there’s any issues. Couldn’t be happier with my stay each time I’ve been there. We love Almost Heaven.

There was always someone available. We were there just before the hurricane Ian and we felt very well taken care of. Unfortunately, we had to leave the island early because of the hurricane. Truly Almost Heaven

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Captiva Island is a Paradise and Almost Heaven was a perfect vacation spot on the island. The house was stocked with all amenities including a sharp knife (this is important when cooking), ample pots and pans and cooking utensils, two coffee makes including a k-cup and a 12 cup pot, clean beach towels, beach chairs, a beach cart, even jewelry trays by the bedside. The house is decorated nicely and was clean. It’s important to know you have to cross a two lane road to get to the beach—it’s the only road on the island and not a lot of traffic so an easy cross but important for family with little children. The beach in front of the house is spectacular and almost private because there are only a few houses and no condos —we experienced manatees swimming close enough we could reach out and touch them (they won’t hurt you but don’t touch them). We stayed in July and the back yard was overrun with misquotes and no-see-ums so we did not get to use the backyard oasis. I would have loved to as there was a grill, large table, clean pool and beautiful landscape. We did experience a plumbing back up during our stay which also prevented us from using the outdoor shower, however, management responded promptly and resolved the issue with professionalism — it was the 4th of July weekend and they made the repair happen despite the holiday! I would 100% recommend the property but I wouldn’t go in July—it was too buggy to enjoy the night.

accommodations great; pool and pool deck most enjoyed feature - both shade and sun while in the water. Landscapers particularly courteous while doing weekly clean up. great set-up with a fully stocked kitchen. Furniture in good shape and comfortable. Only issues were two maintenance items not resolved while there: master bathroom faucet and master bedroom window shade. Apparently. the owner is questioning the need for the window shade, but it makes sleeping in after sunrise easier.

One even had a plastic wrap around it which made it sleep hot. The house stereo system should be explained as to how to us it. Out side of that it is in great location and very nice. Almost heaven but not quite

Great location and very roomy for our party of 11. Kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. Only a half mile walk from restaurants and shops on Captiva. It takes about 30 minutes to get back to the mainland in case you plan to drive anywhere else in Florida. Beds were comfortable and there was a ping pong table. Negatives-Property was hard to find because it is nestled back off the road a little and google maps takes you behind the property, not to the driveway. There were a few minor problems like sinks not draining properly, dryer took forever to dry things, vanity outlets not working, and door handles not secure. I wish there was a little more beach items to take with us. We had 6 adults and there was only one beach chair. We had 5 kids and only 3 shovels and no buckets and 3 body boards one of which was broken. When making our reservations, we had a choice to spend a little more money for a fully renovated house a little farther from the beach...in the end we think we made the right choice being closer to the beach with a few minor inconveniences.
