Wonderful laid back & relaxing house

This home is so perfect for a small family getaway. We loved the neighborhood and the pool. There is so much outside space and you can spread out and enjoy the sound, the pool, the yard, the hammock, etc. the house is so cozy and comfortable. We will be back!

Great Family Getaway

The host was amazing, helpful. and welcoming! We had an amazing getaway! The heated pool was great as well as the outdoor firepit and Kayaking. A short walk to the beach and the house was in a nice private spot. We definitely would recommend this house and will most likely return in the future!

Fall beach trip

We enjoyed everything about this house !!!! if you want a place that has everything this is your house!! All you need to bring is your suit case and family !!! We have been renting houses for years! this house has the best beds!!! All of them including the kids beds were wonderful!! Host was excellent as well!! The trip to the beach was a short ride! The house is a cozy, peaceful , sweet beach cottage that I never wanted to leave! Easy beach access, thoughtful touches and a very cool retro vibe. A Hidden Gem

What a wonderful week at Surf Cove! It was by far the cutest and most eclectic little cottage we have ever stayed in! It was the perfect size for our family of four. You feel like you’re in your own little oasis with the location being tucked away. Melissa was a wonderful host and very quick to respond with any questions I had. Home Away From Home

Surf Cove is a paradise! We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was fully stocked, beach toys and all. The location of this place is amazing! It feels so secluded but you really are so close to the beach! Such a cute little beach town and Melissa is so responsive, and helpful, truly a AMAZING host. It was perfect first family vacation with our little one. We can’t wait to visit again!!

Great family stay

Property was as described. Really neat spot. East walk to the beach as well. We spent the majority of our time hanging out at the house and swimming in the pool. The kids ages 3-5 were content to play with the train tracks and swim all day.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our time at this unique property. The listing was accurate and house was clean. We had two little ones with us and we had to make a few accommodations (exactly as was stated in the description), but overall they enjoyed the home with no issue. Melissa was prompt responding to all questions and even provided service after the sale by shipping back a stuffed animal we left. Great location and I would recommend.

Our home has recently undergone a major renovation that includes a newly appointed kitchen, bath, saltwater pool, new doors/windows etc. Cleanliness is very important to us and the home is cleaned and disinfected prior to each use. I personally visit the home before each guest checks in to make sure it's clean and organized.

We love the location! Emerald Isle has clean beaches and a family atmosphere. Surf Cove is a short walk to the ocean, but also close to the sound where you can enjoy kayaking, fishing, and exploring. We chose a home on a narrow part of the island and are closer to the ocean than some properties on the "ocean side" of the island.

We are located on the Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. The OBX is an amazing 200-mile stretch of barrier islands off the coast. Emerald Isle is one of the beach communities that make up the southernmost part of the OBX.

When we were house hunting, I knew I wanted a classic, vintage, beach cottage, and we found that here!

Since our home is located on a barrier island, you have quick access to both the Atlantic Ocean and Bogue Sound. The temperate weather year round allows you to enjoy outdoor activities most any time of year.

We like that our home has multiple spots to relax and it feels really private. We're located on a quiet street in a well cared for neighborhood that includes a small boat launch and dock for neighborhood use.

The canal location allows you to enjoy the natural setting where you can watch the herons hunt in the canal and listen to the fish jump at night.

What you will notice in our home is an attention to detail. I've been associated with the vacation rental industry since I was a kid! My first job was cleaning vacation homes for a local rental agency and that taught me many valuable lessons about the vacation rental industry. What separates us from many others is that we live locally and care for our home personally. We truly want each guest to enjoy their stay so much that they visit year after year and think of Surf Cove as their personal vacation spot!
