This was a good rental experience for me and my family, with lots of room for everybody, but also some room for improvement. Communication with the property owner was very easy, with quick responses and direct answers. Areas of the property that need improvement first and foremost are the beds. When vacationing, rest is a key part of the experience for it to be considered enjoyable, and the sleeping accommodations were not conducive to restful sleep. I understand that purchasing brand new, and/or "fancy", or even moderately comfortable beds may not be feasible for a house that is considered a vacation home, and not a daily residence, but some minor investments into things like mattress pads or toppers would go a long way to increase the comfort experience of the stay. My wife and I decided to sleep on the couch on the final night because we knew we weren't going to get any restful sleep on the bed we had The microwave, although heating food products safely, did not have a handle on the door, with just some screws sticking out where the handle was originally attached, definitely not visible in the property photos. The deck around the side of the house was incomplete, as the owners were in the middle of renovation efforts. This was all communicated by the owner, and we were able to come to an agreement to continue with the rental, with some safety modifications made by putting up temporary railings, although having the extra space for everybody to mingle on the deck in the beautiful weather would have been even better. The horseshoes pits were a huge hit with the family for the weekend, a major plus, and the hot tub was great as well, a great size for those who wanted to get in. Overall, this was a good stay for our family, eight adults and one 4 y.o., plenty of space for people to hang out and be together, or do our own separate things. Easy to get to, and quiet, clean neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again, so long as bedding improvements are made.
