Even in a cheap motel guests are provided with a hair dryer. Not here. We knew it was going to snow, so we planned to bake. No measuring cups, no measuring spoons. Very limited in terms of kitchen utensils and pots and pans. After going to store to buy measuring cups/spoons, we baked. Some baking soda spilled. NO BROOM & DUSTPAN to clean it up, or hand vac or anything. I used wet paper towels to get it up, and they came up black with dirt! (We don't wear shoes inside, and this was our first morning there! Yuck.) There were broken blinds, shabby cabinets, and an overall cheap feel, but we paid plenty to stay there! I imagine it would be fine for a few guys who want to fish or hunt in the area, but it definitely didn't seem family friendly. NO FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ANYWHERE EITHER! Nice, wood-burning fireplace, but no fireplace tools to use.
I owned a 3 br. 2 1/2 bathroom log cabin in TN with a lovely mountain views and a hot tub on the back deck! I didn't charge any more than we paid for the cabin in Nisswa. However, my guests didn't want for anything, and I had 2 fire extinguishers on site. Each full bathroom had a hair dryer. I provided dishwasher soap and liquid soap, and you can be sure I stocked more than 2 rolls of TP for my guests. There were 3 of us staying at the Bentley cabin, and there were only 2 rolls of TP!
Yeah, not impressed.
