Das charmante historische Haus befindet sich in unserem Haus angebracht und ist unser Jahr über Gästehaus. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Bucht mit Zugang zu den 5 größeren Seen herum. Es ist 5 Meilen in die Stadt Millinocket und ist leicht zu erreichen. Es ist ein wunderbarer Ort für Wassersportaktivitäten oder einfach nur am Wasser entspannen. Es ist auch ein großartiger Startpunkt für die Region Katahdin einschließlich Baxter State Park. Wir haben ein Paddelboot, zwei Kanus und zwei Kajaks zur Verfügung. Vögel beobachten, Blatt peep, Elche Uhr, Wildwasser-Rafting, Wandern, Kajak, Schwimmen, Fisch, x Loipe, Schneeschuh, ATV, Motorschlitten oder einfach nur entspannen und die Aussicht genießen. Wir sind nah an einem Netz von Wanderwegen. Lassen Sie einfach das Haus und schlug die Trails.

Historic house at the lake

We had a great time. The location of the house is just unbeatable! We enjoyed very much sitting at the lake, looking at the fire, listening to the loons or watching all the other birds. We loved going on the lake with the canoes whenever we wanted to. Faye and Don are very nice and welcoming. In the house is everything provided what you need, including good hiking maps of the area. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay longer!

Race weekend perfection !

This is the 2nd time we stayed with Donny and Faye and we love them and their place! So nice and hospitable, clean and cozy, plenty of room and amenities. Timely cleaning of snow and walkway and the house was nice and warm and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again !

Cozy Cottage On The Lake

This property was perfect for our visit to Maine. It’s close to the town of Millinocket and Baxter State Park. It’s right on the lake with access to canoes and kayaks. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. It was clean and comfortable.

Way more than lodging!

What a delight! Unexpected treasure on our travels. Beautiful and super quiet spot on the water. Lovely home oozing with character and charm. Easy WiFi and cable as well as books and interesting artifacts all while simultaneously being plenty spacious for us who love to “unfurl on arrival” types. They had everything we needed from games, kayak & paddleboat, and more. The star gazing/bird watching veranda gave us a beautiful view of the Milky Way. And we found the lakes/ponds to be pure magic. Loved our sunset time near 5 Lakes Lodge, dinners at the Sawmill and friendly local folk in town Definitely hope to return!

Great Getaway

We traveled north to explore Baxter State Park. Norcross Cottage has shoreline property which was perfect for an early morning paddle and relaxing evening viewing with a glass of wine while being serenaded by loon calls. It was a great place to wrap up the day after strenuous hiking.

Perfection

Norcross Cottage was a cozy, beautiful, comfortable home away from home that had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. The cottage was decorated with antiques and pieces that were true to its history. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. We loved kayaking on the lake, and it was incredibly generous of the hosts to allow usage of their kayaks, canoe and paddle boat! The location was a great launching point for hiking Mount Katahdin and exploring Baxter State Park.

Norcross Cottage is a delightful, comfortable, historic home. Its lakefront location is beautiful. It is quite spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped. Don and Faye are wonderful hosts. We could not have felt more welcomed.

a long overdue visit

We had a great trip to northern Maine and Norcross Cottage! Faye and Don were great hosts! We are familiar with the area but, we were long overdue for a visit. Don and Faye had great suggestions for us. We enjoyed the use of their kayaks and boat rides! And they were available when we needed them. We had a great stay! We would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay - feels like visiting family (in the best way possible!)

Donny and Faye were lovely - their property was very comfortable, and they clearly go above and beyond to make it a good experience. We loved staying on the water, and they even took us out on their boat for a tour of the surrounding lakes. We really enjoyed our time there (especially our kids), and we would definitely go back!

Lakeside Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stat at this quaint lakeside cottage, tastefully decorated with antiques. It was great to have access to the owners if needed but it had everything we needed so there was no need to bother them. The lakeview was wonderful even though it was a little chilly to spend time outside. We would definitely stay here again if the need arises.

Peaceful spot for eclipse viewing!

It’s got a very cozy, down-home feeling, like staying with extended family. The hosts were generous to open the property to us during their off-season. Due to snow on the ground, ice on the lake and general “mud season,” we didn’t have a chance to hike or canoe… but we really only hoped for a quiet spot to see the total solar eclipse and Norcross cottage was just that. Faye and Donny are delightful folks!

Pure Slice of Heaven

The Short version. UNREAL and you will NOT find a better host then Don and Faye. Don is a wealth of information on the area. Both will interact and much or as little as you’d like. The ONLY pit fall is no laundry on-site and the in town self-service laundry mat (apx 7-miles) isn’t real accommodating. But if I could leave a 6-Star I would!!!!! Thanks Donny (Mr. Perfect, lol) and Faye, we WILL be back.

perfect Lake getaway

Went up Fishing in October with my two sons and a friend. Faye and Don are awsome hosts house has everything you need Inside is full off great photos and vintage decor. There are multiple Books and maps about Maine and its history. Wifi ad satellite tv where great.plenty of towels, blankets and pillows for our stay. We caught bass pickerel and fallfish in the Lake the cove is protected from the wind so it is perfect fo kayaking. They just added a double kayak so plenty of boats. They thought of everything from fishing gear to firewood. AWSOME place close to Kathadin with everthing you need 5 stars look forward to staying again.Thank you Faye and Donny

Beautiful Lake

This property is on a stunningly beautiful lake. Check-in was easy and we appreciated learning about the history of the house. The kitchen was well stocked and comfortable. We spent time kayaking the lake. This was a quiet and comfortable location.
