Willkommen beim Waters Edge Retreat!

Waters Edge Retreat ist ein 5BR / 3. 5BA Haus am Wasser in Jefferson, NC. Dieses Haus verfügt über einen privaten Zugang zum Teich und zum Angeln, einen Whirlpool auf dem Vorderdeck, einen Billardtisch im Erdgeschoss und einen Theaterraum im Erdgeschoss. Sie werden dieses Haus finden, um all Ihre Urlaubsbedürfnisse zu erfüllen, während Sie die Blue Ridge Mountains besuchen! Die Hauptebene ist ein offener Grundriss mit Esszimmer, Küche und Arbeitszimmer. Das Hauptschlafzimmer befindet sich ebenfalls auf der Hauptebene und ist mit einem Kingsize-Bett ausgestattet. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie zwei Kingsize-Schlafzimmer mit einem gemeinsamen Bad. Eines dieser Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett verfügt auch über einen ausziehbaren Stuhl mit Memory-Schaum-Matratze. Unten finden Sie ein Queen-Schlafzimmer und ein Schlafraum mit Rollläden. Draußen werden Sie den Zugang zum Teich mit privatem Steg, Feuerstelle, Whirlpool auf dem Vorderdeck und vielen Sitzgelegenheiten lieben, um diese Blue Ridge-Morgen und Nächte während Ihres Urlaubs zu genießen.

Exceeded Expectations

The listing pictures don’t do it justice. It is a stunning property-incredibly beautiful. The house is roomy and designed for people to spread out comfortably to enjoy privacy or togetherness. Those in our group of 15 (ages 4-70) enjoyed so many things without driving anywhere including: morning coffee on the porch, swimming, fishing, quiet walks, nature watching (deer & turkeys), campfire moments, family meals, games, movies, and the hot tub. We brought kayaks, noodles and a big tube with us that were also well used in the pond. The nearby town of West Jefferson is charming. There we enjoyed a local restaurant, Ashe County Cheese, shopping, and even a trolley ride to a gorgeous winery. Staying here afforded our family time for deep connection, and gave us all wonderful memories!

Great Retreat

We had a great experience with 14 of us in our party. Their are a lot of fish in the pond that kept us really busy. Some bass, bluegill, turtles, frogs...a good variety. The home owners association really keeps up this area. The house has many amenities to keep you busy. You can go tubing at Zaloos right down the road. The only thing I can knock it for is that it could have been a little cleaner when showing up and they need a couple more large trash cans for guests.

Great place to stay

I loved the log cabin and the gated neighborhood! The place was as calm and peaceful as you could want. The porch was filled with rocking chairs and a swing! You could fish, get in hot tub, watch the deer and other wildlife, grill out or have a fire in the fire pit. Close by was great shopping, eating, or renting kayaks. We love it!

Amazing property and location

This property is amazing and has activities for all ages. The pond, firepit, grill, jacuzzi and basement are fantastic. Rooms are great size. Poor cleanliness through out the property. Outside sitting not well maintained, no toilet paper or kitchen paper towels or garbage bags, tiny dish soap. Additional blankets not clean. We expected more for the price range for this amazing property.

Birthday trip

We all had an amazing time relaxing at this property. We used the projector screen to watch playoff hockey and play video games. It was a very short drive to float the river. Plenty of room for everyone.

Great Home / Disappointed in Cleaning And Service

So overall the home is fantastic and we had a great time and the pictures and description are very accurate to what you get. My issue is that when we arrived there was trash all around the house. 8 or so bags of trash sitting around the property (animals had gotten into a few bags) and then just beer cans, bottles, glasses, boxes, etc. all around the place. I'm not sure how this place was deemed ready for the next guests with all of this trash. We called immediately upon arrival and followed up with an email and pictures requesting someone come ASAP to get rid of the trash. I was told someone would be in touch with me but never heard from anyone and no one ever got the trash over the 4 days we were there. We ended up cleaning up some of it as it smelled and we were getting tired of seeing it and left a lot of the other stuff. I was really shocked that this issue would not have been immediately resolved as this isn't just some small nit-picky kind of complaint. So anyway, we enjoyed the home but had to take a star for leaving the trash and had to take a star for not quickly resolving the problem. Would have easily been 5 stars had it not been for those two things.

Waters Edge Retreat Christmas Vacation

The house was absolutely awesome!! Had so much to do and keep yourself busy and having fun. The location was not easy to find at first as GPS throws you off but we were able to find it after getting lost at first. It is super crucial to drive in all wheel drive vehicles during the winter as the exit of the house has a few steep hills and we got stuck on one of them. Luckily a staff member from Carolina Cabin Rentals helped us get out of that mess. Overall great experience, the only negative comments I have is the place could have been cleaned a little better for arrival as it had a ton of cobwebs and dirt on area rugs. Also the trash situation is not convenient for guests as there are 3 trash barrels to put garbage in for a house that sleeps 15 and we stayed for a week so we had tons of garbage we couldn't put in the bins. Luckily we had a great customer service member named Tim tell us that we can leave the extra garbage in the house as they would take care of it and didn't require us to drop it off at a drop site that was 25mins away. Extra garbage barrels need to be added for this size house and it should always be the case that extra trash can be left at the property because tourists that don't know the area and travel during winter/snowy season can put themselves in a predicament like we were. But overall the place was great, thank you!!

Perfect!

This house was perfect for our vacation. We booked this house because it had everything, just what we needed for a pandemic-era vacation. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of towels, clean and comfortable. The weather was absolutely awful while we were there, but we made the best of it. We did a lot of fishing off the dock (catch and release). My daughter was thrilled when she pulled out a large bass! We will be back for sure!

Great Stay

Waters Edge Retreat

We had a great time at Waters Edge Retreat. More than enough space to entertain both upstairs and down. The pool table was a great addition to the space but if we didn't bring our own sticks we would not have been able to play due to the sticks that were provided didn't not have tips. A few things could be fixed so the guest could sit and not worry if they are going to fall out the back of the island chairs or even the dining room chair that was not secured to the frame. Overall we had a great time and worked around the few problems that we found and still made a great ski trip for our stay. This house could not have met the needs of my family any better! Grandma and Grandpa, our 3 children and spouses, and 7 grandchildren were all comfortable and had plenty to entertain while we were at the house. The kitchen was so well equipped, and that made cooking in a pleasure. Our fishing people were happy, our pool-shooters were happy, our football watchers were happy, and the front porch was enjoyable for all others. Water's Edge Retreat is easily accessible to all recreational areas in Ashe County.

We enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge Retreat. Few suggestions: 1. Please send instructions to find the gate lock. Its on the right side of the road and the gate has "Canawhay" written on both sides. Will be easier to enter code on correct gate and not on someone else. 2. As the road to house is "unfinished", kindly update instructions to take left when Cherokee Cir road ends. Then go straight, right and last right to arrive the house. 3. The first floor is really cold and there is only 1 master thermostat on the second floor which is not able to control temperature at the first level. 4. The Bathroom on the second floor (half bath) lock does not works. 5. Sound system in the theatre at first floor: The amplifier does not work as well. 6. Pool table is awesome but please keep some chalk. 7. Most important: The shower heads are really bad. Kindly replace them with the extended ones with different modes which can be bought under $30. Besides, these small stuff, we loved the house and had lots of fun. Thanks, Rahul Agarwal
