Das Salt Creek Farmhouse ist ein klassisch restauriertes Bauernhaus aus den 1920er Jahren auf einem 56 Hektar großen Grundstück mit allen modernen Annehmlichkeiten! Fahren Sie 10 Minuten nach Nashville, wandern Sie auf unserem Trail, grillen Sie oder entspannen Sie auf der umlaufenden Veranda oder an der Feuerstelle. Schlaf sechs Leute innen; zwei Schlafzimmer mit jeweils einem Queen-Size-Bett und der Full-Size-Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer. Handtücher, Waschlappen, Betttücher, Kissen, Decken, Kaffee, Eis usw. sind vorhanden. Für Hunde fallen zusätzliche 25 USD pro Nacht an, die vom Management im Voraus genehmigt werden müssen.

Das Anwesen umfasst 56 Hektar, von denen der größte Teil bewaldet ist. Wir haben etwa 15 Hektar Wald mit einem Wanderweg, und das Angelloch ist schwieriger zu erreichen, da es sich auf der anderen Seite von Salt Creek befindet.

Love the location and the era of the house.

A lovely home! We enjoyed the serenity and the beautiful home! It was very comfortable! We were disappointed that it isn’t a 3 bedroom house. It’s actually a 2 bedroom with a hideaway couch in the family room. Also, there is no hot tub as noted, it’s a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The cleanliness was lacking. Spider webs with their owners were in the corners of the downstairs bedroom. There was dust on all the furniture and baseboards.

Awesome property

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the trail and my husband had a great time fishing! Brown County State Park is close and a must see there was also loads going on in town! The guest book with background on the property is a nice touch.

One word - RELAXING

My dog, Penny and I had a relaxing stay. The trails on the property were perfect for morning and evening walks. The large jetted bathtub was a great way to knock the dust off and wind down at the end of the day. The location is far enough out of town to be restful but close enough to everything I wanted to do. I would rent again.

Peaceful Get-a-way

Very comfortable restored farmhouse. Well equipped and well maintained. Secluded but not isolated. The walking trails throughout the property were outstanding, with scenic views of Salt Creek. Owner Ken is very responsive.

Nice property away from town. Enjoyed TC Steele home, Farmhouse Cafe, Nashville and the state park. Home and property had charm. We enjoyed learning the history of the farm. Furniture and mattresses are well loved and need an update.

Secluded Farm close to Nashville Indiana, there was no access whatsoever to the outbuildings highlighted in the listing . Property was clean and well equipped . There is no cable only internet streaming.

Charming historic farmhouse

We struggle with how to rate this property. On one hand this is a charming 100 year old farmhouse that we found upon arrival to be immaculately clean inside and out. The history of the property was very interesting and we enjoyed exploring the exterior buildings and grounds. The problem is the house sits very close to a two lane road. We found the daytime traffic ruined our ability to relax on the neat wrap around porch after our day of hiking and exploring BC. The traffic did settle down after 8-9 pm week days. Maybe this bothered us more than it would other people but we feel it’s worth mentioning. There were a couple other things that come with a home of this age but as stated it’s obvious there is pride in ownership here.

Perfect for our needs

Cute little place for a few mountain bikers to stay for a long weekend. Place was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and water pressure in showers. Not for from town. Really quiet!

Great location to visit Nashville

We enjoyed our stay at Salt Creek. The property was cute. Unfortunately, it was a little too cool to sit outside on the great porch. It is very close to Brown County State Park and to Nashville. Messages that I sent to Ken received a very prompt response.

A Pleasant Experience

This property is reasonably close to the state park and downtown Nashville. Moreover, the property itself is enjoyable with its own creek and nature trail. Our only disappointment was that this property is listed as having three bedrooms; it does not. It does have three sleeping spaces, but one is a living room (this is mentioned in the longer description but not in the main advertising). We still enjoyed the stay, but the guest who ended up sleeping on the couch maybe enjoyed it a little less.

Disappointed

House is advertised as 3 bedrooms sleeps 6. There were only 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa bed. The house has a very musty smell which caused several of us to have allergic reactions. No, this wasn’t what we expected when we rented. The owner was great to us. The house is close to Nashville, sits close to the road. Just feel that the ad of the house and what it really is does not match. False advertising.

Fun Getaway

Salt Creek Farm had everything that we needed, plus more. All directions were clear. We just walked in and were at home. Our special fondness was the setting. We enjoyed the fire pit for cooking Boy Scout style, the trails, the fishing hole where fish were plentiful, horseshoes, and the many spots for photographic adventures. The flocks of turkeys and paw paws(? )were new to us. I wrote more in your Guest Book in the living room. Thanks for the geode and suggesting we speak to Robin at the Gatesville General Store. Salt Creek farm was a great experience for 3 generations .

Fantastic country getaway

Rented this house with my mom, aunt, and cousin for five nights. We played games, enjoyed lots of porch time, hiked Brown County State Park, and shopped in Nashville. Would highly recommend this house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Serene Stay Near Nashville

The farmhouse offered a peaceful feel of “country” with enough modern conveniences to be comfortable. Evenings on the porch swing watching the fireflies and listening to the whippoorwills made a lasting memory.

Refurbished historical property exactly as described

Rustic refurbished property just as described. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. A 100 + year old farmhouse with charm and history. Being out in the country, it was a bit rough around the edges at first sight, but after a day or two here we began to really appreciate the property and the history. We enjoyed dinners on the porch, a round of horse shoes, and so on. Great location near Nashville, Bloomington, and Lake Monroe. A true hidden gem!
