Wine Down ist ein wunderschönes Haus am Wasser auf einem kleinen Grundstück mit weitem Blick auf den begehrten Pea Hill Creek. Es gibt ein modernes Doppelbootshaus für großartige Unterhaltung am See und eine bescheidene Eleganz zum Entspannen am See! Das Haus bietet bequem Platz für eine Gruppe von Freunden oder mehrere Familien mit 2 Wohnräumen, mehreren Essbereichen im Haus und im Bootshaus, einer vollendeten unteren Ebene mit Küchenzeile, Spielzimmer und Terrassenbereich am See. Überdachte Veranda am oberen Seeufer mit herrlichem Blick auf den See, um einige atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge zu genießen. Das Haus liegt auf einem flachen, privaten und landschaftlich reizvollen Grundstück mit 221 Fuß Küstenlinie und einem privaten Strandbereich. Bootshaus mit Sonnendeck, überdachter Dock-Sitzecke, Bartresen und Jet-Skiliften. Kajaks und ein Kanu stehen zur Verfügung. Tiefes Wasser auch. Die Gemeinschafts-Bootsrampe ist nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Eingeschränkte Nachbarschaft. In der Nähe von Marina und Main Lake. Nah an lokalen Bequemlichkeiten. Fishing trip

The property was fantastic. The only thing better was Kate, the host. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of extras. A special thanks for accommodating our boats. I will definitely book again!!!!

Great Fall weekend getaway

Spent a long weekend with two other couples for some fishing and group bonding. Had a great time with alot of good memories. Though the fishing wasn't as good as we hope, that was more a testimony to our skill level than the lake :). Plenty of room for all of us having our own bedroom and bathroom and the kitchen was spacious with a large island and dinning room table for meals, cards and dominos in the evening. We met the neighbors on both sides who were extremely friendly and helpful with using the boat ramp next door. Mark and Susan

Perfect lake getaway

A perfect house for family gatherings..lots of space inside and out and plenty of “toys” for kids and adults. The boat house is great for swimming, sunning, or just relaxing in the shaded area. Having the boat ramp next to the house and use of the boat lifts is a real plus. The house is furnished nicely and the kitchen is well equipped with small appliances, dish ware, and utensils. Host was excellent and communication was excellent as well. Five stars all the way!

Great family vacation

Great house, plenty of room for 8 adults. Loved being right on the water, and the boathouse is perfect for hanging out, swimming and fishing. Large yard for games as well. Kitchen is well stocked. Be sure to bring your own sheets and towels (we almost missed that in the notes). Kate was super responsive and helpful throughout the whole process!

Wine Down is the perfect lake house!

Wine down was the most perfect house we have ever rented at Lake Gaston! Starting with the owner Kate who is so kind and most helpful with making sure we had all the details to make our stay the very best. The house itself was spotless and was stocked with every essential and much more! The views from the porch and dock house are amazing, the location on the lake is close to everything! It has Everything!

How fortunate we felt to have found this property and host. It was our first stay at Winedown, but not our first at LKG. By far, everyone in our party felt that this place was the cleanest and best equipped. Plenty of parking for 3 trucks and a trailer, private ramp next door, nice boathouse, well equipped kitchen, and super quiet friendly neighborhood. The host, Kate, is very responsive and easy to work with. Five stars all across the board!

Fantastic house on the lake

We were so impressed as we drove up to the property. It was even more stunning than the pictures we had seen on the website. The house was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Every kitchen gadget you can think of was there for meal preparation and serving. The front porch runs the entire width of the house and offers beautiful views of the lake.The boathouse at the lake will take your breath away with views that it offers as well. There’s a nice shady area there with table and chairs and the deck on top is huge and allows for great views of the sunset. Be sure to take your camera with you. We hated to leave and will definitely return in the near future.

Beautiful, relaxing spot on the lake!

Wine Down was just want we were looking for. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the house was clean, updated and had plenty of space. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the boat house and kayaked a few times enjoying the scenery. We will rent again in the future!

Beautiful lake view

Our group included my husband, myself, one of our sons, and his 2 teens. The house is very clean, like new, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with everything we needed to be comfortable. The property owner is very nice, and easily contacted. The boathouse is in like new condition, and is a great place to relax while fishing. We enjoyed the firepit, roasting hot dogs, and making smores. This is a great getaway for reconnecting with family.

Perfect house and perfect weather

This house is perfect for a family vacation with plenty of room and a great rec room with games, tv, etc. Having a private boat ramp next to the property along with a nice boathouse (with lifts) was definitely a plus. The kids enjoyed both the beach area and swimming and fishing from the dock. There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. The kitchen is equipped with anything the cook might need. Plenty of dishes, glassware, and cookware plus a complete array of small appliances. Host communicated well and provided additional information for recommended dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities. An excellent VRBO.

Beautiful lake house with great amenities

We loved our stay at Wine Down and Kate was quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. We are two families with kids between 8 and 16. The space was perfect for our group and the whole house was clean to our high standards. The shuffleboard table and foosball table were an added bonus, very much enjoyed by everyone in the house. The yard had plenty of space with barely any slope so we were able to enjoy the yard games we brought. The dock was fantastic with lots of space for fishing and for the kiddos to jump in to the lake. (We caught a good number of catfish.) My son found a cinder block at the bottom of the lake that we used to anchor our big float for the week. (No need to worry about kids hitting it when jumping in - it's far enough out and pretty deep. He's just a fish and enjoyed swimming to the bottom to find cool rocks and clams.) Having a refrigerator and sink at the dock was also great!

Best overall!

Our family- including 2 grown children and their children spent the week at WineDown and it was perfect! Location, things todo, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, glorious front porch rockers..... it was all there! We’ve been doing family vacations for 30+ years and this is the first home that we would come back to. Seriously....couldn’t find any fault with the home! Kate is a great hostess- very responsive for any needs. A+++++

Great vacation location.

We had the most wonderful week at Wine Down. The location was perfect; quiet yet close to the grocery store, coffee houses and even a gym. Kate is very responsive and does a great job communicating. The house itself was clean, cozy and well organized...with very, very comfortable beds. We enjoyed and spent most of our time outside, on the dock or relaxing on the large front porch! We also enjoyed watching all of the geese walking around the property and swimming in the lake. You just have to watch where you step, when you are walking between the house and dock...a walkway of some sort would have made a perfect trip even more perfect.

Wine Down is great place!

This property is perfect for our family. Kate is super friendly and does a great job managing her property. This was our second stay at wine down and have had a great time both stays. We are already wanting to start deciding when to try to come next year!

Hi! Thanks for considering my house for your vacation! I bought this property to enjoy with my friends and family when I was living in NYC and needed to have a respite from the fast pace of the city!! My friends and family are largely in the VA/NC area and so it was the perfect central location to be able to enjoy time with people I love. Since buying the house, I have relocated to NC and am able to enjoy the house much more regularly now - which has been fantastic! I travel internationally a lot and so you will see hints of my travels throughout the house. Hope you love it as much as I do!

This property has it all - a wonderful point lot with 221 feet of lake frontage, private beach areas and feels very private while still being close to the marina, the main lake, Washburn’s and local shopping area. The house is perfect for groups of friends or multiple families because its laid out with kitchen/bar and living areas on both of the main floors, with bedrooms and full baths. Plus, the boathouse! If you want sun or shade, motor boats, jet ski’s or kayaks, or just want to relax with good food and drinks, you won’t need to leave. It’s a very unique and special property! Hope you love it as much as I do!
