Das gemütliche Inselhäuschen

Das Cosy Island Cottage liegt im Schatten großer lebender Eichen auf James Island. Dieses geräumige, gut gestaltete Cottage bietet eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit allem Nötigen, eine komfortable geflieste Dusche mit Regenduschkopf und abnehmbarem Duschkopf, einfachen Zugang mit Schlüsselcode, WLAN, zwei Smart-TVs mit Flachbildschirm, eine Waschküche innen und außen Sitzbereiche, Grillbereich, Außendusche und viel Platz im großen schattigen Garten zum Spielen und Unterhalten. Die Wendeltreppe zum Dachboden ist schmal. Wenn Sie Probleme beim Treppensteigen haben oder über 30 kg mit dieser Treppe zu kämpfen haben, kann dies eine Herausforderung sein. Liegestühle und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt um zu überzeugen.

Es gibt zwei weitere Einheiten, The Island Hideout und The Island Nest, die an der Rückseite des Vorderhauses angebracht sind und andere Gäste während Ihres Aufenthalts beherbergen können. Die Gebäude sind ca. 200 m voneinander entfernt, befinden sich jedoch auf demselben Grundstück, seien Sie also bitte höflich.

Das Cosy Island Cottage steht allein in der hinteren Ecke des Hofes.

Awesome place

We really enjoyed staying at the cottage, it was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and close proximity to the beach. The communication with the host was great. Loved the keyless easy entry and best of all our dog was welcomed as well. The huge fully fenced in yard gave us piece of mind when we were all sitting outside. Great place would definitely come back!

Christmas getaway

The cottage is precious and comfortable. Very safe behind secure fence. David and Deidra were very responsive to all questions. Had I read all the information provided at check in I wouldn’t have been such a bother. The stairs up to the loft are narrow and tricky for an older person but worked fine for 30 something’s. Great location loved it!

Very cute cottage.

Cottage was well appointed, quiet and in a good location with a gated yard. We were able to walk our small dog without ever leaving the property. Beds were super comfortable. Hosts were very responsive. Make sure you have BOTH codes (gate and house) before arrival for easy check-in.

Perfect place for a getaway!

The cottage is surprisingly roomy for its size. They used the space perfectly. It was cozy, comfortable , and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive and worked with our requests. The shared yard is big enough that we never really saw the other guests. The location is also wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and hope to frequent this little cottage often !!

Hurricane help

Unfortunately, my wife and I didn’t have the ability to stay in the property. Our weekend was the same weekend at hurricane Ian. The property itself looks really nice. Our only complaint is that with a hurricane our host was not willing to work with us on rescheduling our stay to another weekend due to the hurricane that hit. We understand that the property owner is not required to refund us but, a little flexibility would have been greatly appreciated. Especially with the host indicating that a category 1 hurricane is perfectly fine and “nothing to worry about and normal.” Overall we were really looking forward to our stay but, flexibility to rescheduling to another weekend would have been appreciated with the hurricane that hit.

Close to everything

15 minutes to the county park beach, 10 minutes to Charleston, 10 minutes to Folly Beach Downtown area, 3 minutes to Publix and this little gem is secluded in the backyard of another home - the gated backyard made us feel very safe and it was very quiet. We had great time - would come back definitely. Highly recommended

The best location in the cutest home

This was such a great tiny home to stay in. It had a great layout with updated finishes. The house is stocked with essentials and there’s a Publix right down the road. We’d definitely stay there again!

Not what we expected

The property itself was in great condition, clean, like new condition, close to most attractions and provided beach chairs/towels. The shower was luxurious and the details in the house were on display. There were numerous downsides though. We stay in VRBO properties annually, and have never had some of the experiences that we discovered with this property. First, prior to arrival, we had to agree to a multi page contract that explicitly stated no visitors allowed. Next, we were given a “guidebook” which was exceedingly difficult to access on their online platform. It contained required material to check in/check out in compliance with their policies. If it weren’t for a 1 page laminated checklist of what we are responsible for during check out, I would have been guessing if I did everything needed. We arrived and were dismayed that the rental really was nothing more than a granny house located on the same 1/4 acre property as two other rentals, with an unavoidable view of their collection of run down and junked boats. Furthermore, there was an IR camera viewing the deck area, which completely stripped us of any sense of privacy. We entered the property, and the fumes from fresh paint overwhelmed us. (and they lingered the entire week). Also, the AC system was very difficult to balance temperatures, particularly in the master bedroom. I will say though that the hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with, but the experience was beyond fixing, and certainly not worth the money paid. Such a shame..

Great location, comfortable stay

We were looking for a comfortable place to stay for a girls weekend for our first trip to Charleston. This was great. Set back from the road, had every amenity we needed and great communication from the owners. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds and bedding are so comfortable! Would absolutely love to return again!

Feels like home

This is the best rental our family has stayed in. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location- Close to beach and downtown. Host provided clear check in and out instructions and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend this rental if you are in the Charleston area.

Close to everything in the area. Good barbecue nice beach nearby We had fun at the Riverdogs baseball game. I’d love to stay at the tiny place and work on refurbishing the old boat on the property

Charming, Safe and Clean Cottage

This is a meticulously maintained and clean property. We loved the location on James Island and was within a 15 drive to downtown Charleston and numerous eating locations. I would highly recommend it. The operational instructions on items within the property are explained in detail. The owner is in contact to check on you in the case of any issues of which we did not have a single one. Well done David!
