Das Haus liegt am Ufer des Flusses Chocolay und nur etwa 1,5 km vom Oberen See entfernt. Der Radweg führt die Straße hinunter und es gibt leichte Wanderwege und Schneeschuhwanderungen direkt durch die Hintertür. Weitere ausgedehnte Wander- und Schneeschuhpfade sind etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben Flusskajaks und je nach Wasserstand und Holzstau sind es nur zwei Stunden Paddel hinunter zum Lake Superior. Das Hotel liegt 12 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Marquette und 30 Minuten von Munising entfernt. Outdoor und kulturelle Möglichkeiten gibt es zuhauf.

Wir gehen gerne angeln, wandern, Ski fahren und Mountainbike fahren. Sie können Ihre Fahrräder, Skiausrüstung usw. während Ihres Aufenthalts in der Garage abstellen.

Wir haben gerade unser Haus komplett gestrichen und neu dekoriert. Es gibt WLAN und einen neuen 65-Zoll-4K-Smart-TV im großen Raum. Das Queen-Schlafzimmer verfügt über eine neue Memory Foam-Matratze und einen Flachbildfernseher sowie einen Schreib- / Arbeitsbereich.

Das gesamte Erdgeschoss gehört Ihnen, ungefähr 2.000 Quadratmeter mit einem schönen Blick auf den Fluss und die Fenster in jedem Raum.

Die Mini-Küche verfügt über ein kleines Waschbecken, einen großen Kühlschrank, einen Toaster, eine große Kaffeekanne und eine Mikrowelle. Es gibt auch mehrere USB-Anschlüsse in der Küche.

Sie sind herzlich eingeladen, eine Partie Billard und / oder eine lange heiße Sauna zu spielen.

Perfect UP Family Getaway

My family and I had the most amazing trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula! Polly and Dennis were amazing hosts and the home is even more beautiful and clean then pictured. I highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Marquette area.

The accommodations were lovely and comfortable. Lots to do and see close by!

Dennis and Polly made us feel at home and were generous beyond our expectations. They even let us use their kayaks on the river and picked us up at the end of our trip! We loved relaxing by the river. We enjoyed Playing pool, watching TV, and taking a sauna after spending the day at nearby Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! We hope to come again!

Beyond Expectations!

Our recent stay at this property went far beyond our expectations. The location is perfect for many adventures in the beautiful U.P. The living space is very comfortable and cozy. We have visited Polly & Dennis’s beautiful home/property several times. They are wonderful hosts & are now friends. We are sad each time we have to leave. Very accommodating, friendly and A+ hospitality

This VRBO was just as described and the hosts were outstanding! Despite the fact that they lived in the upper level, we had our privacy both inside and outside. We had plenty of room inside and our own private entrance. We enjoyed kayaking on the river, fishing, playing bags and nightly campfires. It felt as though we were on a resort and had the whole area to ourselves. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful Scenery and Great Location

We had great communication from the owners before our stay to help us plan activities that we would be able to do at the time of year in advance. We really appreciated all the helpful hints. The space was very clean and my kids loved playing pool. There was even a treat for us to eat. It was chilly when we were there and it was great to relax in the sauna at the end of the day after hiking in the area. We are hoping to stay here again during a different season.

Perfect getaway!

As first time users to VRBO, we hit the jackpot with this property and the hosts are amazing Polly & Dennis made us feel so welcome and were always available to answer any questions. Even though they do reside on the main floor of the home, we still had plenty of privacy. We gave them 5 stars and they deserved every one. The only issue we had was VRBO itself. There were a few issues through them that had nothing to do with the property owners that eventually worked out, but made us a bit nervous right before our vacation. Our family had a great time and our stay with them exceeded our expectations. We hope to book with them again soon. Thanks again Dennis & Polly!

Wish this was my home!

This property and owners are lovely. Everything is immaculate. We were warmly welcomed and treated so well. This is the best experience we have had staying when the owners are also onsite. The backyard is gorgeous; having stayed in summer we certainly were at peak time though I imagine it is beautiful year round.

Beautiful & Cozy Winter Get-Away

We’ve stayed at Dennis & Polly’s a few times, now. They are always so kind & welcoming. This was our first winter stay there. We came to the area to snowmobile. After a day on the trails, we came back to enjoy their beautiful home. The fireplace took away the chill & the sauna was very relaxing, after a day of riding, in the cold temps. It is so beautiful in all seasons!!

Beautiful property

Polly and Dennis are amazing hosts with a beautiful property. The only suggestion I have would be to have a door to the basement that could lock for security and peace of mind for guests. Although we felt safe, the way the world “operates” today that extra piece of privacy would be a great addition to the property especially staying with children.

The best hosts!

Dennis and Polly were the best hosts imaginable! They gave us information and helped us with everything. From deciding where to hike, to lighting an evening fire for roasting marshmallows. The property is gorgeous. We didn't quite realize that it was an upstairs/downstairs arrangement, but we would probably have been lost without them. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

Don’t Miss This One

Our stay was fantastic. The property is beautiful, the accommodations are more than adequate, and we can’t say enough about the owners. From the date of booking, communication was clear and they went out of their way to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Great location, even better hosts

We had a great stay at Dennis and Polly's place. The property is well-appointed and spacious and they were super helpful in finding hikes, rides, beaches and restaurants. The outdoor space is just what we were hoping for in a UP vacation. Great view of wildlife in the river and yard and great place for star-gazing. Hope to return soon!

Anniversary Getaway

We decided to go to see the Eben Ice Caves and do some winter hiking for our anniversary and found this little treasure in the process! Polly and Dennis could not have been more kind and welcoming. They offered suggestions for places we might like to see as well as places to eat. We arrived late but had a note with instructions and a heated garage to park our car in. This was nice because it snowed quite a bit. Polly left us a lovely anniversary treat!!! The view from our bedroom and the main living area looks over a wooded area. We saw eagles and wild turkeys. The location was convenient to all of the places we wanted to visit. We could not have been more relaxed and comfortable for our trip. We can hardly wait to come back!
