So happy we found this lovely new property on our very first visit with our Air Force Academy Cadet. The accommodations consist of two queen bedroom suites, a shared bathroom divided into a spacious tiled shower / commode area and a separate double vanity area. These rooms open into a reading room / bar with a big screen TV, a fireplace, and sliding doors that open to a spacious covered terrace with spectacular views of the mountains and the AF Academy. Want more? Well, then there's a theater room with projection big screen TV and power recliners if you can tear yourself away from your view of the front range (to include Pike's Peak) from the covered terrace. Bring some marshmallows--there is also a gas fire pit, with seating ,for some great views of the sunset from the beautifully landscaped grounds.
This property is NEW, is in a beautiful, quiet, and upscale neighborhood minutes from restaurants, shopping, and the North Gate of the Academy. The owners live upstairs and are very accommodating and hospitable. It has quality furnishings and interesting personalized decor. Our hostess would not allow us to leave the breakfast bar hungry (you probably won't need lunch) and had great suggestions for dinner in nearby restaurants.
In case you can't tell from the above narrative, we were quite pleased with this choice. Sure, you might find cheaper accommodations, but doubtful if you'll find any as nice that are hosted by such friendly folks. Hope we can return soon!
