The kitchen was clean and very well stocked - we had everything we needed to prepare meals at the house. There were four of us, so to eat together we had to go downstairs, as the table upstairs in the kitchen only seats two. The home was clean, although the carpet had an old stain in front of the couch.
Parking is on the street, and can be difficult to secure, which would have been nice to know prior to booking, as we would have rented a compact instead of a midsize.
The washer and dryer are coin-op and are in another building outside the main house. Quarters and detergent were provided, which was greatly appreciated. There is A/C, although we didn't use it. We just kept the blinds closed, and it stayed fairly cool.
The neighborhood isn't quiet, and I wouldn't walk the streets on my own after dark, but the house has a security gate to the property, and another code for the house, and then individual codes for the units, so I didn't feel unsafe.
The biggest plus for us was that the teenage foster kids each had a room downstairs, and ours was upstairs, which was nice. we could play games together at the table downstairs, and then come up to watch some TV and enjoy a glass of wine when the teens went to bed.
The table and chairs on the front porch are a great place to sit at sunrise or sunset!
