Host lied to us
Husband and I picked this unit for a 2 week stay to celebrate our retirements. We were really looking forward to just relaxing, cooking in unit, and enjoying lanai. Contacted host specifically regarding view from lanai. Asked if view shown was correct. Response back from host was exactly this "You can see the ocean. However, it is a distant view." The vegetation was so tall, and thick, that you could not see anything in either direction from the lanai. We took pictures, but unable to attach here. We went to the host's office and they started to argue with us, until we showed them the pictures. At this point she started back pedaling and saying it was the HOA's fault for not maintaining the vegetation. It 100% falls on the host to give an accurate listing, including pictures, and to not lie when specifically asked. We knew the ocean would be way off in distant, we were 100% ok with this. We were not ok feeling claustrophobic on the lanai. The following morning when we showered, we realized that over half our towels were dirty. Some had dark footprints, some had brown streaks, some had red spots. Contacted host and was told there should be towels extra towels. The only "extra towels" were the ones hanging in other bathrooms, which had dirty ones as well. Multiple of the appliances did not work properly. We truly got tired of contacting the host and having to report broken, or missing, items. They also came into the condo with no notice. Horrible experience.
