Das Ferienhaus befindet sich auf unserem Grundstück, auf dem es sich um ½ Hektar alte Live Oak-Bäume handelt. Es liegt abseits einer Nachbarschaft und bietet viel Privatsphäre. Das 660 m² große Ferienhaus wurde im Februar 2019 komplett renoviert und verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit einem großen Herd und einem Kühlschrank sowie über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie benötigen, falls Sie die großartigen Restaurants auslassen und in der Küche bleiben möchten. Es gibt eine Halbinsel, die vielfältige Aufgaben wie Essen und einen Arbeitsplatz hat.
Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über ein Queen-Size-Schlafsofa (mit einer Gel-Schaum-Matratze) und viel Licht zum Lesen. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und einen Kleiderschrank (Kleiderbügel inklusive). Das Badezimmer ist ein großes Zimmer mit einer begehbaren Dusche und einer Waschmaschine und einem Trockner.
Zur Badezimmerausstattung gehören Shampoo und Conditioner, Seife, Handtücher und Waschlappen. Extras, wenn Sie einen Gegenstand vergessen, Zahnbürste, Zahnpasta und Rasierer. Es gibt auch ein Bügelbrett in voller Größe und ein Bügeleisen für Ihre Bequemlichkeit. Die abgeschirmte Veranda ist ideal, um Ihren Tag mit einer Tasse Kaffee zu beginnen oder bei einem Glas Wein den Tag zu beenden, mit Blick auf einen großen Garten mit wunderschönen Live-Eichen. Wir haben einen Fuchs, der jeden Abend besucht, Eulen und eine Vielzahl von Vögeln. Wir hatten auch einige ungewöhnliche Besucher, ein Schaf war für eine Weile zu Besuch, bis wir es in ein besseres Zuhause umziehen ließen!
Wir sind 30 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Charleston, 15 Minuten von West Ashley, 15 Minuten von Cummins, Bosch, 20-25 von Boeing (Flughafen) und 20 Minuten vom neuen Volvo-Werk entfernt
Der Strand ist ca. 45 Minuten entfernt und wir liefern Strandhandtücher und -stühle.
Wir hoffen, Ihren Aufenthalt so angenehm und sorglos wie möglich zu gestalten. Charleston ist bekannt für seine Gastfreundschaft!

My family and I had a great time at the Cottage. The space was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. The yard is incredibly beautiful and our toddler loved exploring. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect cottage

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I with all the comforts of home. Marianne the host was amazing and quite insight on where to eat, hike and what beaches to go. Summerville is a year trip for us and as long as the cottage is open this is where we will stay!!

Cozy and quiet

Lovely property. Loads of beautiful flowers and trees surrounding the house with many butterfies and birds. Plenty of space to move about outside, if you wanted to. Simply lovely.

Great time! Great House! Great Host!

Even though we visited during hurricane Debby, the house was high and dry. Our Host kept us informed of the local weather issues and what roads were safe. We were able to have a great time and did not mind getting wet.

The cottage in the oaks is absolutely a jewel. David and Marianne have thought of everything possible to provide you with a wonderful stay in the town of Summerville. We have stayed in more than 20 VRBO properties and this cabin is diffidently one of the finest small properties in which we have stayed.

Perfect Place

This was the perfect place for our week visit. The property is beautiful and quiet. The house was clean and met our needs. I slept great on the mattress. Normally I don't sleep well and wake up very early. I slept in for once. Marianne and her family were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time there.

Simply The Best

From the moment you drive up you’ll just want to slow down and enjoy this lovely property and owners! We are only sorry our stay was so short and busy that we didn’t have more time to relax on this unique and beautiful property! The cottage was perfect with everything you could ask for, super comfortable, beautifully decorated, and so clean! The owners even took out some toys for my son to play with! We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to family and friends as well!

Coastal exploration

We checked out every beach in the Charleston area along with historic neighborhoods in Charleston. Found great restaurants to eat seafood, played pickleball in Summerville and enjoyed historic architecture in Summerville. The house was in a great location for us about a half hour to 40 minutes to Charleston and area beaches and 10 minutes to pickleball courts and beautiful downtown Summerville.

Perfect little cottage

The cottage in the oaks was simply perfect! Hidden away in a grove of old oak trees and surrounded by azaleas and cameilas, the site was so pretty and restful. We felt we were in a world to ourselves. The privacy was excellent. Yet, we were convenient to everything. The pretty historic area of Summerville was just around the corner, and plantation row along the Ashley River was just a few minutes away. The host was super nice and accommodating. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for privavcy and convenience!

Everything we hoped for and more

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect and beautiful. Very clean. The owner provided extras that we may have needed. My 3 year old enjoyed the pond, catching frogs and the swing in the front yard. We had a cat visit us a few evenings. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Exactly what we were looking for!

Having never visited Charleston truly...this was the perfect place to stay! My husband and I had celebrated our 10th wedding Anniversary 2 years ago in Savannah. And after appreciating the architecture and the Beauty of that city, we decided to sit our normal "Birthday Celebrations Week," out from taking the camper this time and playing in the woods to seek and learn and see what Charleston was about. Now saying all that, having never been we were seeking more a solitude get-a-way to retrieve back to after a long City day of exploring...and Marianne and David had provided exactly just that! A peaceful retreat! The cottage had everything you could think of as far as essentials, and it was kept very clean and tastefully decorated. I loved the front porch being able to unwind and enjoy the views of The Live Oaks. And upon departure, we were able to meet both Marianne and David, and they were such a lovely couple! Serenity cottage

This little cottage was spotless absolutely inside and out absolutely enchanting 1800’s little home but you walk inside and it is completely contemporary, clean and pristine and just exactly the way you want a brand new home these days everything was comfortable. Everything that was needed was available, the owners were very hospitable and always responded quickly. It was in a beautiful setting in Summerville just 2 miles from the wedding B&B venue we were going to attend and it was just lovely beautiful large live oak Trees, beautiful camellias, and this spring and summer the promise of an abundance of flowering shrubs, and plants that are currently dormant, but I just know it’s gonna be breathtaking , we enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to having a good reason to return again so we can come back during warmer months and stay in this sweet little college when all is in full bloom.

Lovely and quiet

This property was a lovely little cottage tucked away in a very quiet corner with space to breathe.... all in town and close to the things we wanted to do! Best stocked place I've ever stayed. Comfortable bed, nice neighborhood, grocery store nearby. Definitely would recommend to others.

Quaint Charleston Cottage

This was one of the best houses I've rented in a long time. It had everything you could need, such as coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tea, and kitchen appliances. The grounds of this house are like something out of a fairytale. There was a small pond with lily pads, a garden, large mossy trees, lots of abundant flowers, and a well. It is a classic Charleston home. The exterior of the house is so peaceful. It has a large, screened in front porch with two rocking chairs and a small outdoor couch. My party and I throughly enjoyed this porch and took advantage of having it! We sat out on the porch listening to the cicadas chirp and the owls hoot. The interior of the house is calming and very well decorated. The couch is comfortable and the bed is as well. Everything was wonderful, clean, and well taken care of. The bathroom was spacious with a nice washing machine and dryer. The kitchen had all the amenities you would need to cook or make any meal. The house even stayed a cool temperature in the hot months. Another great bonus to this house is the visitor not listed in the description! A little Calico cat visits the back porch some evenings, so that was a fun surprise! The owners of this house are very polite and kind. They are as involved as you want to be. I highly recommend this house if you are considering staying in Charleston!

Mari-anne grew up in the Charleston area but moved around the Southeast while raising children but the Lowcountry was always home. David is from away, Detroit, but happily moved back to the Charleston area with Mari-anne and settled on Summerville.
They both love hiking, boating, fishing, shrimping, bird watching and more recently Pickball!
