The Sunshine Shack ist ein Ranch-Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 1 Bad. Es ist auf einem schönen ruhigen 2 Hektar großen Grundstück, das bequem zu allen Annehmlichkeiten der Stadt ohne den Verkehr liegt. Es hat von allem etwas für vier Jahreszeiten. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle im Hinterhof, einen Spielplatz / Park auf der anderen Straßenseite und eine Garage mit 2 Boxen, in der Sie Ihr Spielzeug abstellen können. Schneemobil, Allrad, Kajak, Wandern, Jagen oder Entdecken. Das Haus ist leicht über den Schneemobilweg zu erreichen, der 4 km entfernt ist. Der ORV-Weg führt an der Einfahrt vorbei und der Kraftstoff ist leicht zu erreichen.

Set up nice!

Set up nice for snowmobiling. Really appreciated the use of the garage for our sleds. Plenty of parking for our trailers. House was clean and comfortable.

Great for snowmobiles. Has a garage for 4 or 5 sleds. Everything you need for a snowmobile trip, well priced.

Very nice and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Perhaps update the television, but we really weren't there for that. Over all, there is plenty of room for our visit with family in the area.

We have rented the Sunshine Shack several times and always have a great experience. It is our go to rental in Newberry.

As photographers, we don't like to leave our gear in the vehicle overnight, so we bring it inside. Having a garage to park our vehicle in made the process a non-issue. Definitely a bonus amenity! I hadn't bothered to make a hard copy of the directions to the property. Internet access is limited throughout a good part of the UP, so I could not access directions to The Sunshine Shack. I did locate contact information for the owners and was able to obtain the directions to the property. They were quick to respond and very helpful. The Sunshine Shack was perfect for our needs. We wanted to visit the Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls and the Soo Locks, and this property was the perfect staging area for accessing those locations. It was certainly spacious enough for the two of us and, with a fully furnished kitchen, enabled us to prepare meals onsite. The Wifi access worked perfectly, too. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Very clean home with lots of room!

We stayed this past weekend and had a good time here. The back yard was perfect for my 2 youngest kids to run and play, and great for bon fires...they even supplied wood! Great time, conveniently located.

Home away from home

We actually looked forward to coming back after a day of activities and sight-seeing. It was a relaxing environment and the kids loved using the pool table. We didn't once find ourselves saying "I wish they had..." - everything we needed was there. My kids especially loved the sign left next to the back door of the garage. LOL

UP getaway

This house worked very well for our family of 5. We used the fire pit and charcoal grill which worked great. It was a good location for Taquamenon falls and pictured rocks. It was clean. The beds were ok, a little hard for my taste. Made for a great getaway

We were able to find the property easily. It was simple to get in and the instructions were very clear. The house was clean and the accommodations were as described. The host even had a helpful binder with local information. Overall a great experience!

Clean, Cozy, Accommodating, Great Location

Our stay was great from start to finish. The instructions for checking in and out were clear and reasonable. The home was clean and comfortable. The hosts had gone above and beyond by stocking the house with basic household items that could be needed throughout your stay. The location was perfect and in a quiet area that is close to the accommodations of the town. We loved the space in the basement for the kids to hang out, and enjoyed the fire pit outside. We highly recommend this home, as it provided more for us than any of the many homes we have stayed in while traveling.

Amazing place to stay!

My three boys, my brother and I stayed at this property for our 5-day vacation. This place was centrally located for all the places we visited. Oswald's Bear Ranch, Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchi-iti-Kipi, and Pictured Rocks. Along with being a great location, this house is exceptionally clean and spacious. My boys really enjoyed the pool table in the basement. The property also has a huge back yard and a nice set up for a bonfire, but we unfortunately never had a chance to use due to coming back late from our adventures. I also would like to note that the owners were in great communication. Really nice people!

Cost effective jumping off point

We were on a 4 day Yooperlite mission. This was a good location allowing us to get to Whitefish Point, Grand Marais, the Pictured Rocks and St. Ignace without having to drive too far on any given day. The house was clean and more than adequate for our needs. Our 3 boys loved the pool table, the basement, the yard and the videos!

We looked at about 25 different houses before we picked the "Shack." For us, loving a lot of outdoor activities, It was all about location and when we walked into the house we could instantly see it's potential.

Our home has a large basement with an area to put your riding gear plus a hangout area. (we are hoping to have a game table of some sort sometime this year yet) There is also a garage to store your toys in.
