We loved this property! I hope it is available for us in the future since the house and location was everything we could have asked for and more. So, I hesitate to leave an awesome review at risk of full booking, but the place undoubtedly deserves it.
Boat ramp paving was primitive and steep with tight clearance between some trees which would make it difficult or impossible for a large boat to be launched, but worked fine for my 15 foot trailered jonboat and 4X4 pick-up truck.
I found the dock and boathouse to be very useful for my small boat needs. The on-site dock and boat launch were my favorite feature of this property.
There is a public launch at Hunter's Landing a few miles away for larger boats and more bougie setups. Hunter's also has a restaurant, bar, fuel, pizza, and a small store, all accessible by watercraft or vehicle.
Small beach/large sandbox by the water, kayaks, life vests, grill, balcony, and fire pit were a hit for the whole family. The firepit was my youngest's favorite location feature. Too cold when we went to jump in the lake, as the decor suggested.
House itself was clean, spacious, and gorgeous with it's copious amounts of wood and stone walls. Does not give that chic boutique, modern/post-modern vibe other locations may have, which made the place delightful to me.
Many beds and couches scattered around the house make for a comfortable stay for extended friends or family to stop by not to exceed the generous max occupancy of 21 total. If you are paying for or organizing the trip, you get your choice of 2 bedrooms with a gorgeous lake view, each with its own bathroom plus additional bedroom on the main floor facing the driveway. Take one. You deserve it.
2 full kitchens with 2 full refrigerators mean plenty of room for cooking storing all that extra food you and your family brought that you thought you needed. Utensils, cooking utensils, and dishware are provided. There's a Keurig machine and a traditional coffee maker. The well-stocked main kitchen was my wife's favorite feature.
Ping-Pong table and board games/toys in the basement were almost enough to keep the kids off the electronics when inside. This was my 10-year old's and my 7-year old's favorite feature.
The whole lakeside of the house and property has amazing views, with the closest noticeable neighbors being the cows across the lake.
I really can't imagine needing or wanting anything else out of a rental property. Kudos!
