Eine ruhige, friedliche Umgebung auf dem Land, nur 3 km von der Autobahn entfernt. Der Gastgeber wohnt nebenan, so dass Sie Ihre Privatsphäre haben und trotzdem jemanden in der Nähe haben können, wenn Sie Fragen haben oder Hilfe benötigen.

Taking the back roads it was about 18 minutes to my brother's house. It was a perfect location for us. We will return again if available.

I stay here when I travel to the area for work, but I always stay a few extra days to enjoy the area. My sister and her son (15) joined me for Easter weekend this year. It was my first experience with the airport. (Very easy to get to from the house - only 30 miles!) It always amazes me on every stay, how quiet and peaceful it is at the house, but how quickly you can drive to restaurants, and attractions. Fran always responds immediately to any questions and always checks in to see if everything's good. The house has always been spotless when I check in, and I've always been able to keep the house comfortable with ac or heat, as needed. We also enjoyed bird watching while using the fire pit on this stay. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Cute and quiet getaway

This little cabin is so cute and tucked away in a very quiet area. Me, my husband and 3 children fit comfortably. It was nice to take a break from our very busy schedules and relax, play board games and cook breakfast at this location. The hosts were wonderful. Hoping we can come back again soon!

Wonderful place to stay!!!!

My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a few things we planned to do in Branson but had no desire to stay in a noisy crowded area. This home is in a very peaceful setting and provided everything we needed for our visit. If your looking for a quiet retreat away from the crowds and hustle and bustle this is where you should stay.

Peaceful retreat

I have stayed three times, for a week each time. It's always clean, cozy, and well kept. It's been the perfect place to come "home" to at night. I usually have one "child" with me (16 or older). At night, I usually just cook and read a book and relax. During the day, it's an easy drive to a wide variety of activities, indoors and out. This is the first place I check for openings when I know I'll be in the area.

Alone time, finally

I live in China, so I'm always around crowds in a city. Being out of town among trees and clean air was just what I needed. The lovely cabin was clean and well-appointed, and I had a pleasant conversation with the host, whom it turns out I had a connection with. Someday I'll bring my wife along and we'll try to stay. Highly recommended, especially if you need fresh air and quite.

Beyond Amazing!

Our stay in this cute cabin in the woods was spectacular! We came down for a few days for our anniversary. Not having been to Springfield, the experience was fabulous! The cabin was perfect for what we needed! The owners are super sweet and helpful! From the moment we walked in, everything was nice and spotless!!! It is a little drive to and from the main attractions in Springfield, but we didn’t mind the driving due to the quaintness of the cabin! We will definitely stay there again!!! Thanks Fran for your hospitality and lovely cabin! It made our anniversary very special and one we will never forget! Sad to have to leave! 😔🥰

Nice little cottage

This little cottage was perfect for our trip, had everything we needed and even kept us nice and warm in the 23° weather. Host was easy to communicate with and she was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!!

We're warm friendly people who have a lovely blended family with 5 children & 12 grandchildren. Larry is from KS and Fran is from Miami, FL. We've been married for 7 1/2 years and still consider ourselves newlyweds. Larry is a Kansas State University graduate and loves Kansas State football. We also love the Kansas City Chiefs football team and enjoy watching their games on TV. For Christmas last year our son gave us matching KC Chiefs jerseys; Fran's first jersey! Fran came to Springfield, MO to go to college and then spent 19 years living in Africa. Larry got weary of retirement and has had a Furniture Store and Tea Room in Rogersville for 20 years. Rogersville is our home and we love it here on our 26 wooded acres. We hope you will too.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

When Larry retired from the government in 1994 his youngest daughter lived in Springfield, about 30 minutes from Rogersville. He loved the area and the fact that it was wooded and scenic having come from the wide open spaces of Kansas. He bought this land and built the cabin which the family lived in while they had the main house built. He's lived here ever since and would find it difficult to ever leave. He loves gardening and we have a beautiful Hosta Garden, and many other beautiful flowers and flowering trees native to this area. We're surrounded in the Spring with Dogwood and Red bud trees. These are two of Fran's favorites! We have a lovely pond that's a natural aquifer and never goes dry. Larry planted Cat tails where Red Winged Blackbirds come every year to nest and have their babies. He also planted Willow trees and Bald Cypress around the lake. In addition to our beautiful birds that we feed, we have all kinds of wildlife that visit us from time to time. We see Deer on a regular basis as they love grazing in our meadows, Foxes, Raccoons, Groundhogs, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Armadillos, Opossums, Coyotes and we even had a young Black Bear come by once. Birding is Fran's hobby and we have about 15 varieties of birds that we see regularly and many more seasonally. We also have owls and hawks that live in our woods and are here all the time. We don't feed them though. LOL!
