Wonderful house, great view, great nearby beach, congenial hosts
Los Pargos is a small village off the beaten path but worth the trip. The house is very well furnished, solidly built, and has the creature comforts like AC in the bedroom and WiFi. The best feature is the 3rd floor deck which is covered but offers a sunset into the Pacific each night A couple of mornings we were entertained by the monkeys climbing by.
Justin is the owner and is very communicatative and sends detailed instructions. Coco, is the local co-host who will be the local concierge, can answer all your questions about the area and the house.
Even if you,re not a bird watcher, you can’t help but marvel at t diversity of species in this area with their melodic songs, peaceful.
We made the trip up to Tamarindo for most of our provisions for our week, it’s a busy resort town with lots of shops, restaurants and a beautiful white sand beach, and all the touristy “stuff” one could ever want.
However just down the road is Playa Junquillal which has a well stocked store with wine and liquor, probably all you’ll need. Plus there is a black sand beach nearby that is desolate. We were treated by seeing a sea turtle lay her eggs on the beach. The authorities actually pick up the eggs and protect them till it’s time for them to hatch and release them, quite a story.
We stayed out of the midday sun every day at the house and would go to Playa Negra just down the road in mornings and late afternoons. It’s an emaculate beach with a protected parking lot and a restaurant on the beach. Nice.
There are no negatives to this property or location, thoroughly enjoy your stay.
