Very Disappointed
Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has been coming to the Empress Condominiums for more than 20 years. As our family has grown we have begun to rent two units.We love the location, the views and the variety of activities near by. However, we were very disappointed with Unit 803. The unit was very dirty. We were given only one towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth per person for the entire week, and only one small bar of soap for each room. The worst was the master shower that had 12-14” of mold and mildew around 30% of the lower wall. I scrubbed for more than 20 minutes with a disinfectant and Comet before we felt comfortable getting into the shower. The other unit we were renting, not serviced by Seascape, was as clean as we had come to expect at Empress. We will return, but never to Unit 803. I made a complaint early in the week, but received no response from Seascape.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Empress 803 was nice. The beds were comfortable, lots of room, very clean condo, and the view is amazing. I do recommend to add a K-cup machine instead of the old fashion coffee maker. This did cause a little inconvenience in the mornings when some had decaffeinated coffee and didn’t. When we arrived we were given the incorrect gate code and pedestrian gate code. After a few test message we were given the correct gate codes.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was great. Starting supplies were not available. Contacted Seascape and we’re told they would be brought to condo. Did not happen. Internet connection was terrible No directions for tv use. 3 tvs unable to use. Pedestrian gate code would not work. Contacted Seascape they said to enter it slower. Tried still did not work. Another guest gave us their code which was different. I had stated st this facility in August (different condo) the code was the same as what the current guest gave us. We were not able to access the condo until 10 minutes until 6:00 which would have been fine if the condo had been really clean. The floors had not been swept if mopped. Entire condo needed a deep cleaning. The po was freezing cold and you could not stand to swim in it. Was informed the heater was not turned on until some said yo turn on. 8 guest were not able to use pool.

Spacious condo in a well run building
Empress is such an impressive beach condo building. Very clean, staff is super friendly, and everything seems to work as expected. The building is laid out that there are 2 elevators for the west and east side of the building so you rarely share an elevator with anyone else and it’s almost like your elevator opens to your condo with only 2 condos in each wing. Parking was very easy while we were here. I also like that everything is on a keypad system (gate access, walkway access, condo access) so people can come and go as needed and no shuffling of keys. The condo itself is very spacious and decently stocked. We were a group of 6 adults and 1 child and felt like we had plenty of space. There are 2 separate living areas which was nice to spread out. We did have some issues with some broken or non functional items but at the end of the day it didn’t impact our trip too much. The living room tv and remote are impossible to figure out, a couple balcony chairs were broken, the coffee table was broken, and the kitchen didn’t have much from like a Tupperware standpoint. We did do lots of shopping and cooking so left some behind for the next group. There are 2 balconies here. One facing the ocean and one facing the inner lake/pool. Great views! Again plenty of space to spread out. Everything worked beautifully in the condo including the AC (supposed to keep at 72 which was fine but at night we turned down to 70 because we like to sleep cold and had no issues), showers and water pressure, all the appliances etc. all functioned well. One thing to note is there aren’t a lot of bath towels so definitely bring some or plan on doing laundry frequently. Yes the decor and style is…unique. But it is clearly someone’s vacation home and they bought to their taste. The furniture etc was very comfortable despite being an outdated unique style. Overall I would stay here again!

Pool was nice and parking was easy. Short walk across the rd to the beach and you have 2 seats you can place a hold on for free, or rent more for a bigger family.

Dirty dishes in cabinet, ants and bugs in drawers, dried contact lens on bedside table. One master sink stopper broken and short in light switch over table. Elevator was out for 5 days and Dish satellite went out mid rainy week, reported but never fixed. Took pictures and complained a lot! Rental agency not proactive or communicative. HOA also never there. Nice furnishings but unit has issues. Mold growing? They know it has an issue too because found DampRid in laundry room. Does NOT work! Find another unit in property to stay!!!!!

Our issue was the unit seed to be very musty and humid. Instructions from the rental company advise not to turn the AC below 72 degrees but this is not adequate to remove the humidity.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a good location with great views front and rear. Traffic noise was an issue when sitting on the beachside balcony. There were not many staying in the Empress at the time of our stay which was a plus. Restaurants and shopping are handy. The unit was nicely furnished. There were some maintenance needs which were promptly addressed ( a chair which came apart and toilet paper holder falling off the wall). A non working bathroom exhaust fan was not repaired during our stay. A shower door would not remain shut. There were multiple light bulbs out which we replaced with ones found in the laundry area. The light and fan switches along with the tv remotes were felt to be overly complicated and confusing. Parking was by far the greatest issue. We had been assured by Seascape that parking for three cars was not a problem and three parking passes were delivered to our unit. However, the building’s HOA saw things differently and we were basically ordered to remove one vehicle immediately despite our arrangement with Seascape and the lot being less than half full for the entire week. The in building HOA representative was very difficult; there was no spirit of compromise/cooperation. If staying in the Empress be aware of the disconnect between Seascape and the building HOA. We enjoyed our stay overall.

The location was perfect for our needs. We had enough room my only suggestions would be to up grade the kitchen utensils, plates and equipment and the pool area needs more searing. Those are just minor things everything else was perfect

The overall property was Ideal based on location and amenities. Disappointed in the check in process. Everything was done via text message. Since we arrived early, It was difficult to access amenities while eating until Room was ready. poor communication as far as what to do to get onto the property before you are given codes to park. Wish that a parking pass would have been left in our room with our bracets bc there was Poor communication about parking pass. No one was in office until 3rd day to get a pass. Barely any towels and wash clothes for a family of six. Had to do you laundry every day. No dish towels whatsoever, no starter dish soap. General cleanliness was average. Dust residue on bathroom cabinet doors, dust on bathroom make up mirror. Obvious it needs a deep cleaning in some areas. The layout/ space and the ocean views were wonderful.
