Great little cabin!

Cute little cabin!

This little cabin is absolutely adorable! 3 bedrooms and a loft with two twin beds. Plenty of sleeping areas for family! It feels very cozy with the wood burning fireplace, high ceilings and lots of seating. The location is less than 1/2 mile from glaze meadow pool. Would rent again. However, if you’re planning to do any cooking, the kitchen could use a few things. There are zero baking sheets (we had planned to make cookies with the kids). And very few utensils for cooking/baking. Plenty of plates, and silverware though! The hot tub was clean and wonderful!

Black Butte Ranch cabin

In peak of the year you want to make sure the AC unit is functioning properly. The line set kept freezing up and wasn’t insulated. However we had a great time staying at this cabin. Very close to main pool with lots of bike paths to enjoy. Would absolutely stay here again.

spring break

For what you are paying, this is a great cabin. Great location, close to GM pool and aspen lakes. It is not as nice as some others I have stayed at, but it was a lot cheaper. Exactly what we needed for two parents and a bunch of teens. Property manager, you might want to check with homeowners about the septic system issue. Seems that the homeowners have not kept it up, the ranch had to come out multiple times to clean out the septic system. Fine with us, but some other people may prefer to stay in a home that the owners have kept up with the septic system maintenance....... All in all we had a marvelous stay. Thank you! We love Black Butte.

Major Cleanliness and Management Communication Issues

When we arrived, we found: - Cans underneath the bed -Bandaid -Sticky drink residue on table - lint balls - Pubic hair - Expiring meat in refrigerator drawer This property is managed by Vacasa. We tried to communicate with Vacasa by text, phone call, and email (multiple times with each) and never reached anyone who was able to actually do anything for us. We received a partial refund, but I only noticed in my credit card account - No one from Vacasa ever communicated it to us! I'm not usually one to write harsh reviews, but we will really be avoiding them from now on when possible. The cabin itself though was cozy and comfy and cute!

Ok rental

All in all - average. Beds need upgrade. The downstairs bed squeaks so much, even breathing elicits the occasional “ chirp”. Do not even think about rolling over. Kitchen is limited. There were bikes available which was a big plus, the hot tub was nice. We rented at the end of the Summer and it was a bit tired. It’s ready for an upgrade. It was “ nice enough” for a long weekend but plan ahead and you’ll have more options available.

Cabin In the Pines circa 1980

Good: Big fridge, and new washer and dryer and hot tub. But a guy come over at 8 am and was banging around and testing the hot tub water, etc… Bad: This home is dated and in need of updates and repairs. The micro above the old style electric stove is so big you have to bend over to see and operate the stove top knobs. The toaster is broken. It’s smaller than appears in photos. Many of the blinds are broken. Table seats 6. Extra chairs though. Horrible lighting throughout. One decent TV, the other from decades ago. So not helpful if you have young ones there. Not enough extra blankets. Bedroom down and to the left on hardwoods has just enough room to walk around, and same with the bedroom upstairs. No extra room for anything. Firewood not provided. Rental agency gives you about 6 rolls of TP for 8 guests for 4 nights. No Kleenex boxes. Then you have to buy some at $4 a roll from the resort store. The taxes, rental cost and fees from Vacasa and then the resort fee added up to being over $495 a night.

Christmas’22

Once settled we had with out a doubt one of the best family Christmas’s ever. Had to overcome a couple of obstacles with the house but we will be staying at Black Butte Ranch again

Dissatisfied and over priced

House is so out of date and dark. Bed mattress covers dirty and stained. Kitchen utensils were dirty had to be rewashed, same with some pots and pans. Screens do not fit windows and fell out. Skylight leaked. Extra blanket in closet covered with pine needles. Not enough dish washer soap and toilet paper. Lighting so poor we couldn't put a puzzle together. Outside patio table had not been cleaned in months. Egg shell mattress cover had large burn hole . Window shades are in very poor shape. Overall, we were very disappointed. This house is very overpriced for its condition. The cleaning people are not doing a good job, just hitting the superficial areas and do no deep cleaning. Kitchen cabinets were totally disorganized.

Cute Home, had some issues with bugs

This was a super cute cabin, however there was a big spider issue. Not just a couple spiders, but in every room, we kept finding tons of spiders in the bed and on the walls. My sister also discovered some ants and spiders in the upstairs loft bed she was sleeping in, so she had to sleep on the couch downstairs. I get seeing a few spiders, but we were constantly having to kill them and definitely affected peoples sleep. Another thing is that there wasn’t a barbecue as stated in the description. This was a bummer because we could’ve brought our own, and we had stuff to barbecue which we couldn’t do. Lastly the sheets really didn’t all look that clean, I think with the price, it definitely should’ve been taken care of. Lastly the beds could’ve been updated, every turn it squeaked which was somewhat annoying. I will gladly update this review for proper compensation. I think with the price we paid and how many nights we stayed, it wasn’t worth what we went through.

May Girls Weekend

The overall experience was ok. The black widow nest the the bedroom and moldy shower curtain were not nice but we killed the spider and house keeping came and took care of the shower curtain. The floors were not that clean but most of the surfaces were ok. The hot tub never really heated up no matter what we did so we gave up on it.

Spring break getaway

Overall a very charming cabin, great location to the rec center. We enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace with stocked firewood, and the loft with extra sleeping options. A couple points of feedback; the downstairs bed on the left was so creaky I couldn’t sleep there, as it made noise when you took a breath. I’d honestly be worried the bed would break with any additional movement that could occur on a bed. Also, the kitchen pans were absolutely horrible, in need of new nonstick options and a few enhanced kitchen essentials (foil, cling wrap, utensils). We still had a great time but probably wouldn’t return to this unit due to the horrible beds.

Overall my parents said the house was very clean and nice.

My parents were the only ones able to stay. They said the house was very clean and they had made a few improvements since it is a little older and most was original. They loved the hot tub. We would stay again.

Awesome cabin…

We had a great time at the cabin! The wash machine broke before we got there so we couldn’t do any wash. With babies in the group that became a small issue. Nonetheless it was beautiful there and we enjoyed ourselves so much! Memories forever!

Cabin in a coulda sac

The cabin was fine. Fairly small but comfortable. The usual minor complaints: didn’t have bbq, didn’t supply wood for the fireplace, kitchen was very limited as far as staples (spices, coffee, paper towels, etc) compared to other houses we have rented, terrible shower. I agree with some of the other reviews, the house could use some tending. Not to modernize since the charm is a cabin, but the water leaks, showhead/water pressure, old outlets that wouldn’t hold in a phone charger. We weren’t there to take advantage of the resort amenities, so the additional fees were a bit surprising/daunting. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but will probably look more towards staying in sunriver as in past trips.

Great family stay

The layout worked well for us. We had two couples and 2 older kids. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, although smallish. Cozy, comfortable living area. A great location. Easy walk to rec center/pool and Pickleball courts.
