The condo was exactly what we were there for. We were able to get the rest and relaxation we were looking for. We could sit out on the balcony and listen to the waves or we could walk straight down to the beach and walk along the water if we wanted. There was plenty of shopping and things to do near as well.

Great Family Fall Break

This was our first family trip to Orange Beach. We usually go to Florida. We had a great time, and the condo was comfortable for me, my husband, our three kids, and my mom. The building is older and in need of some updating on the exterior, but overall it's clean and conveniently located. We had a hard time finding the office attendant to get our parking pass. The managers were very attentive through text message about it. The beach access is nice. The condo itself has been redecorated recently. We appreciated the books and puzzles the owner provided, and the kitchen was well stocked. I would recommend adding some plastic plates/cups for kids. The condo is in need of a deep clean. The cleaning ladies basically did a once over to get it ready, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. We plan to come back to Orange Beach next year.

Best Condo in Worst Building

We loved the condo. It was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. You can tell that the owners care about their space. They invested in their condo and it felt like home. The condo was also very large given that it was a corner unit. The view of the ocean was incredible. We absolutely loved the space and spent a lot of our time there. The building, on the other hand, was not an indication of the condo. There were 2 elevators available for use. The elevators were located adjacent to the parking lot in a lobby. The lobby was a sauna and there was no air condition in either of the elevators. It was 90+ degrees during our stay. The elevators were not in good condition either. We have NEVER had anyone access our condo without being given advance notice. On this trip, the property manager attempted to access our suite at 8 in the morning to retrieve a swimsuit that had dropped on our balcony. There were notes that indicated that things shouldn't be hung on balconies. Regardless, we were awoken from a dead sleep with the property manager banging on our door like we were in a raid. Our 13-year-old daughter was incredibly frightened. I'm thankful that I had installed a door lock. Otherwise, he would have just come in. A professional from Beach Getaways also showed up unannounced the morning before we left to change a filter. Again, we were asleep. The door lock kept her from walking in as well. This condo is truly a diamond in the rough. Even so, we won't return.

Bittersweet

I rented the property and then received a text that said that something was wrong with patio door and you can only access it through one of the bedrooms. I called and the lady was really nice. She allowed me change me to another unit. We got there really late due to traffic and when we put in our code, it didn’t work. I called every number in my email and text messages. No one answered. We had to sleep in our car for 3 hours. Which was horrible! When someone finally called back she was apologetic and was able to get us in right away. We were given our money back for the night and given a gift card to one of the local breakfast places, which was really nice. The place was beautiful! We had no problems once we got into the condo. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a tv in every room. You can look at the ocean on the sofa. So peaceful on the patio. We absolutely loved it!

Good not great

It’s a good size and the corner unit is a huge bonus. The balcony was great. The unit could use a really deep clean on the inside. It seemed like they did a very surface clean so we ended up cleaning some ourselves. The bunk bed was also broken when we got there. I reported it and a maintenance person did come and repair it so that response was prompt. The unit could really be very beautiful if they took the time to do some deep cleaning and painting.

The location is great and the unit is directly on the beach (2nd floor right over the sand). The condo is great, but The building it’s in is really old and outdated. It has zero curb appeal. But, once in the condo, you’ll be satisfied. We were good! Thank you

Great place to stay!

We chose this condo from what we found remaining available online after a last second decision to visit Orange Beach. This corner condo is on the second floor of the building and the balcony is literally right over the top of the sand, so it feels like you're sitting on the beach. Since it's a corner condo, the balcony wraps around the corner and offers a great spot to sit and watch the sun rise or see some of the most awesome sunsets that will show you why they call it Orange Beach! Overall this condo is great. It was very clean when we arrived and the check-in process was super smooth, as there is a tablet in the room that you use to complete the process. There were a couple of minor issues: the big ceiling fan in the living room area wouldn't work without the remote control, but we couldn't find it anywhere in the condo. Turned out that we didn't need it though, because the HVAC in this unit is strong and can turn the place into a refrigerator in a hurry! Also the locking latch on the sliding door to the balcony was broken. I called to report it to maintenance and talked to their answering service because it was the weekend and they weren't in, but we never got a call back. That really didn't bother us too much, but if you're wanting to feel more secure this could be an issue. The beds and pillows in this unit were fantastic, and made for a great night's sleep. The water pressure is fantastic too, so showering was better than being at home! The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed for the cooking and food preparation. The living room furniture seemed like it was fairly new and it was a very comfortable place to hang out with friends and watch movies. The TV has all the extra features like Netflix, Hulu, Roku, Youtube, etc., so you'll have no problem finding whatever it is you're looking for. There is not a hot tub offered in this building, but they do have a heated indoor pool that was a nice substitute. The building had suffered some damage from a recent hurricane, but it was being addressed with new construction and repairs taking place each weekday morning. Finally, the location of this condo is less than a mile to several great bars and restaurants. I would recommend The Gulf, Floribama Yacht Club, and Tacky Jacks as we ate at all three places and were not disappointed at all. Even though we had a couple of issues with this condo, I would still rate it very close to 5 stars and will definitely stay here again.

Our tropical storm getaway!!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here at Lei Lani!! The building itself is a little older, but the location of it was great. We did ride out a tropical storm and felt very safe to the elements, there are storm shutters that raise and lower if needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better proximity to the beach, and pool!! FYI the floors throughout the building become incredibly slippery when wet. A trip down down the stairs when wet is not recommended, and Was very painful when I slipped. The condo itself was beautiful pros, plenty of seating, views, and room for many guests. Cons were that two of the bathroom showers were slow to drain, but hope that our maintenance call will fix this for the next visitors. The floors were sandy when we arrived and I vacuumed to remove this, but after being on the beach for several it is understandable why this happens. There are some games for kids to play, and the balcony area is great for relaxing. My favorite part was rocking out on the balcony and enjoying the view!!

Be cautious if you have littles. Not the place for you.

We are frequent flyers with day trips by boat or weekend stays in OBA.. we have booked vacations with vrbo more times than I can count. I want so bad to leave a 5 star review but sadly I cannot. Our trip was planned for my sisters birthday. We originally planned to have 4 adults and our 4 small children. When we arrived (before my sister and her crew) I quickly called and told them it would be in their best interest to stay home in Mobile with her husband and children. One of my sisters littles who is 10 months has spina bifida and we strive to give her clean/safe surroundings as she is learning to use her new walker and braces. This condo has a wonderful kitchen and bathrooms but that is the only positive. The couches and chair in the living room were filthy. They smelled extremely dirty with stains and dirt visible. We did not allow my 7 month old to touch any of the furniture. We brought a huge blanket from home thank goodness and covered the rug for our baby to crawl. The floors were dirty and sticky. Cigarette ashes were left on the end table in the living room. Fan in the bunk bedroom did not work. I understand safety precautions but we assumed it would be working for us to have some air flow for the family members staying in that room (an overheated baby is no fun... especially a special needs baby.) The bedding was removed for CDC covid-19 guidelines which we respect and think is fabulous BUT it felt like a jail cell not a vacation. No bedskirt in the two smaller rooms honestly felt worst than a dorm on move in day. Another safety concern and why we told our other crew to stay home was the doors. NONE of the sliding doors shut all the way. Yes. They would be too heavy possibly for one of my sisters 5 year olds to open, but that is a risk we will never and were not willing to take. The condo stayed very warm due to the doors not closing. Overall, we feel extremely bummed and defeated at our attempt to have a fun weekend with our family. I wish so badly to say positive things but I felt the need to express our concerns after our stay. It was so awful that my husband and I packed my 7 month old on night 2 and drove home to Mobile at night verses spending our last night there. PLEASE be cautious if you have littles. This will not be a very good place for you.
