Peaceful VRBO

This area is so peaceful. We sat by the water even when it was a bit chilly. The view is spectacular. The house is small but for just perfect for the 2 of us. You’d have to walk a few yards and pass the main house to get to their backyard where the fire pit is and the stairs to the water. The area is quiet and not busy at all and no traffic We enjoyed the fall colors and scenic driving entering Idlewild .

Relaxing weekend

Charming Cottage

We had a great time visiting the Stuga. A very charming and cozy place perfect for the 2 of us. Well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. A nice launching pad to see the rest of Door County.

Absolutely Delightful!

It is a wonderful cottage that is very reminiscent of the stugas our family has stayed in in Sweden. Was in a very quiet and beautiful area. It was the restful peaceful atmosphere that we were looking for away from the hustle and bustle of the city/suburbs. I have very severe asthma and I had no problems whatsoever here and actually breathed better here than at home! We’ve already recommended this place to friends and family was delighted by the pictures we sent them.

Cozy & Quiet

This little cottage nestled in the woods, surrounded by wildlife (saw 4 deer in the yard and 7 wild turkeys!) was very clean, and quite. Beautiful yard and outdoor seating area! Very well equipted with everything you will need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The only downside were the mattresses in the small bedroom need replacing.

Loved it!

We were extremely pleased with the cottage! Although it was small they efficiently used every available space well! It was surprising that there were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! The location was very nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the lake! Highly recommend this location for a nice quiet getaway!!!!!!

Brought our mother for a weekend away and the property is beautiful with amazing views.

House was adorable and the pictures don’t do it justice. The beds were less than desirable but the views and location were serene and quiet and beautiful. Will book again for sure!

Anniversary getaway

Quiet, Relaxing and very clean

Great cozy place to stay if your planning on visiting Door County. Owner’s home is on the water with the Stuga at the front of the property. You have the property to yourself with the big backyard and fire pit, no beach, fully stocked kitchen and all the comforts of home. Barbo couldn’t have been nicer

Awesome!

Barbaro is a very warm and welcoming hostess! All comforts of home are provided, access to wood and the fire-ring near the water are great features! The quite neighborhood makes the 15-minute-drive to Sturgeon Bay so worth it! We will definitely consider booking a stay here again in the future, we truly enjoyed our stay!

I've stayed at a ton of VRBO's and I have never rated them all 5 stars. They thought of everything in this one. It was a wonderful place. The only thing I would like people to know is that the roll-a-ways in the 2nd bedroom would not work for a larger person. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect in every way

We could not have asked for a more comfortable place to stay, better location, or more welcoming host. In this cozy stuga, Barbaro appears to have thought of everything. Full access to their waterfront and firepit, and a quiet neighborhood that is still convenient to the state park, Sturgeon Bay, and everything up the coast. Cannot think of a single gripe, and the rate is more than fair for such a lovely property. (With a separate half bath for our kids, even!)

Peaceful and relaxing!

We loved our stay in the cottage! We could not think of anything else that we could have needed or wanted to make our stay more comfortable or enjoyable. Very nice cottage with everything i needed, books, games, outside games, fire ring and a comfy bed to sleep in. I would have liked easier access to the lake as the slippery rocks msde getting my kayak from the yard to the water difficult. Very close to sturgeon bay, sister bay, and many other sites.

Beautiful little cottage

The check-in procedure could have been explained a little better, but other than that, this place is ideal. If you want to get away from the crowds and noise and have beautiful views of the bay, this place is heaven. It is small, but very cozy and I would have loved to spent some time curled up reading some of the books on the bookshelf! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I usually stay in Sister Bay but wanted to mix things up this time. We had a great time exploring Sturgeon Bay & nearby hiking at Potawatami State Park. This house has everything you need and it is in a great location. Barbro is a great host and provided everything we needed. I recommend you book this for a stay.

Fishing getaway

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. 4 friends up for a fishing tournament and it was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, close to the water and and the owner was extremely nice. We will definitely be coming back!
