Family getaway

We got to this property at night so we didn’t see the view till we woke up. All I have to say is Wow, what a wonderful way to wake up! The cabin was so charming and had everything you need and some. I highly recommend this wonderful property and if you do get a chance to stay here definitely take a stroll around the property. It’s pretty amazing!

A beautiful home in a beautiful setting

We traveled up from other parts of NY to visit family and a birthday party. The listing photos do not do this gorgeous home justice! It is beautifully appointed and decorated, extremely clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It is private, serene, quiet and peaceful. The view from the front porch is stunning, and the property is beautiful. Lisa and Randy made sure we were ok at check in (which was very easy) and left us a welcome basket with s’mores ingredients and sticks. We spent the whole weekend admiring everything about the home and surroundings and were at the perfect distance from our family members homes. We would not hesitate to come back!

Secluded family friendly hideaway

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable, clean, and as pictured. The location was close to the venue for the wedding we were attending at Seven Ponds Farm. The view was beautiful and the kids had so much fun exploring the property and fishing at the pond. A very quiet peaceful place to stay for a restful weekend. Thank you!

The property is spectacular. We enjoyed outdoor activities and swimming in the lake with the bullfrog! There was nothing missing from the home. All we needed were our personal items. Wish we didn't live so far away.

Gorgeous setting, clean and nice touches

Our family had a wonderful stay at Randy and Lisa’s rental property. The house was very clean and there were so many nice touches. They left us a basket of supplies to make S’more’s and skewers too and they even had the wood in the fire pit ready to go. The property is gorgeous overlooking mountains, wildflowers and a pond. They had mowed trails around the property that were perfect for walking/running. Our family loved all the hooks in the house to hang stuff, there were hooks everywhere, it was great!! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset the first night we were there. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to other family members.

One of a kind experience

We had one of the best stays in a while! This property is so much nicer than in the listing photos. The hosts are nearby and you might come across them, but they are very respectful and responsive to anything you may need. The location is great, especially if you are looking for quiet, privacy, amazing views and lots of safe space for the kids to run around and have fun. The hosts have thought of small details (like s'mores, plenty of outdoor toys) to make our stay even more fun. The treehouse needs some repairs, but I'm sure they'll take care of that ahead of the summer months. Last, but not least, this was one of the cleanest properties we've ever stayed at, and we have stayed in quite a few. Very pleased overall and we're hoping to be back soon!

Peaceful Mountain View

Very peaceful,wish we had more time to spend on the property. We were in the area for our grandson playing baseball in Cooperstown. The best furnished house we ever stayed in. Lisa was very helpful,with questions we had. Enjoyed watching the ducks, wild turkeys and deer in the early morning. If we're going to be in the area this would definitely be the place to stay. Oh so peaceful!

This house and property are stunning! Whether we were overlooking the pond and hillsides, or walking the trail around the orchard it did not disappoint! Surrounded by peace and beauty! The house is much nicer in person and was very clean and comfortable! Thank you Randy and Lisa for sharing this little piece of heaven, and for allowing pets (knowing they are part of the family)! Our grand puppy loved exploring with us all on daily walks! We are hoping to return to the area and would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect autumn long weekend getaway!

Beautiful property with amazing views. The timing of our stay lined up perfectly with peak foliage- gorgeous! The house was spotless and the grounds were beautifully kept. The photos don't do it justice. Linens, towels and furniture were very clean and fresh, and the master bed was extra comfy. Many dog friendly places can be a bit shabby, but this house is the opposite of that! All instructions were simple and clear, wifi worked very well, and the house was easy to get to with GPS. We had our 2 dogs with us and were able to take them on nice, quiet, calm walks on the small loop trail on the property every day. Plenty of open space to run around with your pup too! If you're looking to visit Cooperstown, it's about a 40+ min drive, but through some incredibly scenic areas! Lots of farms, valleys and rolling hills. It was a lovely, relaxing way to spend our 10-year anniversary. We will definitely be returning to the Highview Hideaway. Thanks for hosting us, Lisa & Randy!

Picture perfect

Lovely, supportive and available owners. The property, HighView, sits overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains. Beautiful Fall coverage. The home itself is in excellent condition, well maintained and fully stocked. We had uninterrupted cell coverage and plenty of computer band width. Plenty of hot water for showers, dishwasher and washing machine. We had an excellent family reunion only enhanced by our stay at HighView. We hope to stay here again.

A wonderful weekend

We had a nice family getaway thanks in part to this wonderful setting and home. The panoramic views were scenic during the day and just as remarkable on a clear night with the star-filled skies. The home had plenty of space for our crew of four and all the promised amenities. Definitely would stay here again!

Second time at this gem!

We were on a road trip back from New Hampshire and decided spontaneously to visit dear friends in Cobleskill, hoping to stay again at that beautiful place. Randy and Lisa responded incredibly fast and accommodated my husband and me and our two dogs. The setting is magical and the house feels quiet, cozy, and has all those sweet touches to it. (My personal favorite is actually the recliners in the living room… OMG!!) Thanks again for hosting us!

Fantastic views and fantastic hosts

The pictures don't do this place justice. The views are absolutely incredible, we went in late April and got probably the last snow storm of the year and I couldn't think of a better place to be for it. Randy and Lisa were also great about checking in with us and plowed the driveway.

Picture perfect

We stayed here for a long weekend. It was a weekend too get away, unplug, and recharge. While the house was fully equipped with high-speed internet and Roku TV with Netflix and Disney, it was also stopped with board games that we all sat on the floor and played together as a family. The property was spotless and the owners Lisa and Randy were just a text message away for anything we needed. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because of an emergency at home but we definitely plan to come back to the spot. It was our first VRBO rental, and will definitely not be our last. Thank you Lisa and Randy!

Impeccably Clean Upstate Escape

We loved our stay at Highview hideaway. My wife commented this was the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in - it was immaculate! The house was perfect, plenty of room for our family of six and a beautiful view into the valley. We used it as a base of operations for skiing, and we highly recommend staying here. Lisa & Randy were fabulous, and Randy even helped us early Friday morning with a car issue. Highly recommended.

Our two daughters were raised here as well as numerous extended family members. Our family ties run deep in this community and we love living here. We think you will love visiting too!
