VRBO Misrepresentation
We had rented condo based on VRBO photo and description. 3 days before arrival we were notified that one of the pools would be under construction. By that time too late to cancel. The 2nd and only pool working was a very small oval pool and clearly not large enough for people on both condos. Our arrival to the condo was delayed due to travel issues due to weather. We notified them of our late arrival. Upon our arrival at check in they provided us with the condo number and access code to enter. We drove to condo rental snd someone else was already in the assigned condo. I made several attempts to notify them by phone and no response. We had to drive back to the management office wherein they told us that they have no record of anyone in that condo and perhaps a squatter was in there. We drove back to the condo and the manager bought another person and they found someone in the condo. Apparently the other couple was a late arrival and were given our condo information. They had to move out of the condo into a unit in the next door bldg managed by the same company which was suppose to be their original condo. They did give us a gift card so that we could take our party if 7 to get something to eT while they cleaned yhe condo. We hot back about 2 hours later and they still had not cleaned the condo. They finally arrived and the manager was complaining that our stuff was in her way meaning our unpacked luggage. Two hours later she was still trying to clean and I told her that long as the beds were clean as well as kitchen that she could leave as it was 9 pm and we traveled all day and had little kids to get to bed. I told her that she will need to give us a credit and she kept saying she does not have the paperwork and could not answer that question. To date no response. Kevin who maintained the property was very friendly and tried to help in any way he could. Beware the vrbo web site is not accurate as to what you are getting and management. Would never book this property again.
