Fine but housekeeping was lacking

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was fine overall. We enjoyed our stay but the cabin was not very well cleaned. We had bugs but to be expected in the mountains. Kitchen cabinets were sticky and needed wiped down. Cushions outside needed vacuumed and there were cigarette butts on the veranda. The microwave needs a good scrubbing because you can smell other people’s previous food when you open it. By far the worst was when we were packing up, finding a condom wrapper under the mattress that had an expiration date of 2023 (we stayed in 2024). So clearly it has been there for quite sometime. When we told them about it we were told “sorry, that’s so embarrassing”. I don’t think we will be staying again!

30th Anniversary Cabin

Bed was comfortable, shower was relaxing, soaking was good as well.Cons: No seating in the pool table room, Sauna was not working, fell in the pool area do to unlevel area around pool, also glass door on the lower level bathroom (very awkward. No privacy) and no closet space to hang anything only 4 hangers in a little nook area across from shower. Also they need to update kitchen utensils and cooking wear (had to pick Teflon out of eggs)

Beautiful cabin

We loved staying at this cabin. This cabin was one of the cleanest I have ever been to. The only reason I have a 4 star is because there was a handful of hair floating in the pool and there was hair on the shower wall. Other than that really enjoyed our stay. Definitely will be booking with this resort again.

A clean cabin would have made the stay perfect...

Reviewer Comments: While I loved the quiet location and the amenities of the cabin, the lack of cleanliness was disappointing. The main floor was very sticky. The 3rd floor and the steps leading to it had not been mopped in a long time. My white socks turned brown! The bedspread was dirty. A candy wrapper was still on the little shelf by the bed. But what got me was the spider webs everywhere. My husband and I wanted to open the "garage" door by the pool, but there were so many spiders around it, we were afraid they would fall into the pool with us! I would love to give this cabin another try if I knew the cleaning crew would be different. I had higher expectations for such a nice-looking property.

Fall Vacation

My wife and I had a very relaxing week vacation. The cabin is very comfortable. We loved the sauna after long days of antiquing and sight seeing. The pool was a little cool for us but was very clean and relaxing. We definitely would stay her again. Our only suggestion would be to have curtains for the windows where the stairs are.

There was debris everywhere.No tables on either patio to place beverages. No place to sit a drink in the pool room. The window sill is the only option. Internet kept going in and out. We were never able to complete a movie.No bathroom on bottom floor. You had to go up or down a floor.No mountain view, trees only. You have cabins on both sides.Currently theres construction going on across from the cabin. No peace and quiet.Pool does not smell of any chemicals. Handle entering pool is wobbly and unsafe.We were given a code for the pool area. There was no location at all to enter a code. When you opened the door a loud child alarm would start blasting.We rent from Elk Springs Resort every year. The cabins have always been fabulous. This cabin was a huge disappointment! I really feel this cabin lacks a lot of personal attention. I would not rent this cabin again.

Need better cleaning service

There were spider webs dust and I understand it's a cabin and appreciated being sprayed for bugs however there were tons of bugs on the window ledge that could have been cleaned. Liquor cup left from the previous tenant. The dust on the ceiling fan which isn't hard to reach was so dirty we could see the particles of dust flying around the bedroom. The electric fire pit didn't work which I really wanted to use wish someone told me prior to getting there I would have chose a different cabin. Called for more towels and toilet paper left messages and no one responded had to go out and buy our own. The couch look like it been around for a while with a filthy stained up pillow on. With all that being said the kitchen was clean. I would use the resort again but wouldn't stay at this cabin again. With hopes they're not all like this one.

Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying that is beautiful But The cabin was not clean at all too many bugs on the windows there was food in the kitchen sink. The pool was very cold it Took 2 days to fix The problem and it was still cold.They need to put more windows in the bedroom. There was so much sun light coming in .We couldn't sleep past 8 o'clock We have stayed in your properties before and never had a problem till now. I will definitely not recommend this cabin.

Deceiving marketing photos and...the dead flies y'all!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you want secluded and some privacy elk springs is not what you want. The photos advertised on the website are deceiving. Construction next door, across the street and down the street as well. The pool smelled dirty, like algae. No chlorine pool smell and actually had algae in the corner under the pool shower. Not a heated pool either and the pool fountains dump cold water on top of you. Got in the pool one time and was scared that we were going to catch some kind of skin disease...we didn't. The dead flies were a nuisance. Dead flies in every window sill especially the windows upstairs that can't be reached by normal cleaning unless you use a ladder. Wish i could upload the pics of the flies. and it was annoying because the flies would just fall down next to you, or onto your shower towels, or into the tub, or on the kitchen island. NASTY! Fix the fly problem y'all. On the phone the staff sounded very welcoming, but after check in they just sounded very impersonal. Furniture and living spaces were clean and comfortable other than the previously noted discomforts. Oh, and thanks for the full stock of fire wood. The most enjoyable place in the cabin was on the deck sitting front the fire place.Overall we had a good time celebrating our 20th because we always adapt and overcome, but will not be coming back to City Slicker ever again.

The Great Get Away!!

I was able to play some pool the arcade game had so many options. The pool was great to. I found the jacuzzi the best thing after the long hikes and picture and pictures of the serenity of the woods and mountains. I recommend not to travel at night because no lights are present in the mountains . It was very much needed and lots of shopping and drinks sampling. Go ahead make this your next get away 😊

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My now Husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the City Slicker cabin for our Honeymoon. We absolutely love Gatlinburg and this cabin made the trip even better. I would like to mention the amount of dead flies throughout the cabin which in my opinion, was not very appealing to the eye. While I understand how hard it may be to get the dead flies up high, I would recommend them being cleaned up on the windowsills that are within reach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had an amazing time at your cabin. It was easy to find and felt safe to get to as well. The cabin was clean and ready for our arrival and the amenities were all working perfectly. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
