Our family really enjoyed the time we spent at this cabin. The cabin’s design is great but for the New Year’s Day there was no Christmas tree.

Beautiful cabin

This place was perfect in every way. Gail (the host) was very available annd answered every question we had right away. The pictures are accurate. Furniture is comfortable. The owners mother even makes throws so you can cozy up to the wood burning fireplace. Perfect place to relax. It is really nice that the loft upstairs (master suite) has a door for privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (which we did daily). The cabin is close enough to drive in to Hayward for some shopping. The stars are glorious. Sunsets are beautiful. We would love to come back in the summer months. We loved every minute of it and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Gail for being such a wonderful host.

We had a lovely time in the beautiful, clean house. We are not hunters and were hoping to hike but there were limited options around that seemed safe from hunters. Otherwise, fantastic and highly recommended!

A great place for our dog's first vacation

Rustic beauty at its Finest !!

Owner Gail and husband has a beauty of a Cabin w ALL updated conveniences included Absolutely gorgeous and organized property. If your a fisherman that knows the Chip Flowage....you will know how nicely centralized the Cabin location is to some of the Best fishing areas on the Chip. Breakfast , lunch was great at The Landing 5 min away. Definitely will be booking Again. Gail and husband Care very much for their property and you as a renter to make sure your stay is BEST can be. Incredible cabin near Hayward

Out family of 4 spent an extended NYE up at this beautiful cabin overlooking the lake. Gail was a tremendous host—ensuring easy check in, incredibly responsive—and the home is wonderful. There’s a huge hearth perfect got fires and the location was just amazing...far enough “away from it all” but easy access to XC skiing, snowmobiling and lovely walking trails w our St Bernard

The next best thing

We were on our way to Hawaii until COVID hit so instead we scheduled a trip to Hayward to relax and decompress! One of the best parts was the real wood fireplace and the king bed was amazing. We enjoyed long overdue time to read books, work on a puzzle and watch some Wisconsin Basketball. The reservation and check in process was seamless and the cabin was better than its description!

Chippewa Flowage Gem

We were very impressed with this gorgeous log home which has been well cared for with all the amenities you would need as a guest. We liked the location (near the Landing) with access to either side of the flowage. We had a few minor glitches and the owners responded quickly to our questions. I would highly recommend this home and hope to come back again!

Exceeds expectations

What an amazing log home and property! You just can't call this place a "cabin". The pictures in the listing don't even do it justice. Very natural and private setting and the home has obviously been well-maintained and was absolutely spotless. Several restaurants/resorts for a short drive/boat ride and Hayward is only about 30 min away. Gail was wonderful to deal with, she was always available if we had a question or were seeking recommendations and responded promptly. We didn't want to leave. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Amazing experience

We had an amazing time here. It is clean. Well cared for. Beautiful!!! Owners were amazing to work with and helped us unload our trucks and get boat in water. We will be coming back and would recommend to anyone! My kids and black lab also had a great time!

An Absolute Dream!

This property and setting is stunning. I don't even want to leave a review as I would rather keep it a secret! A perfect drive from the Twin Cities, this home is outfitted beyond belief with everything you need. Bedroom layout is great and the kitchen is fully functional with more items than you could ever use. Grocery shopping is nearby in Hayward. The views to the water and accessibility to the dock are perfect. The kids could fish and swim while we relaxed in the house or on the deck. Great tree coverage with plenty of sunshine coming through. Fishing rods, swimming, paddle board, canoe and fishing boat - plus the option to rent the pontoon. Owners were absolutely accessible but not overbearing. They provided great direction and information but also allowed us to just relax and explore. Setting was beautiful and quiet - with some jet ski and motor boat noise, but very sparse - more people moving in and out to the larger part of the lake. Neighbors were nearby, but aside from hearing voices at a distance or seeing movement of people - this location is entirely secluded and private. If time and money permitted, I would kick back the entire summer at this gorgeous spot. Thanks for trusting us with your beautiful location! We hope to be back again soon!

Mid-Winter Get Away at Rustic Log Cabin

Log cabin was beautiful! It was just as the pictures indicated, and just what our group was expecting. Cabin was super clean and well decorated. Cabin was well stocked with lots of hardwood firewood to feed the awesome stone wood-burning fireplace. Owners were super accommodating, and we experienced great communications with them. 5 Stars... and our group would highly recommend this Cabin to those looking for a quite get away on a beautiful lake.

Chippewa Flowage winter respite

The pictures depict Eagle's Nest aptly and Gail was really responsive to our texts/questions. The home is cozy and tons of chopped wood were provided for our winter fire needs. Also, we enjoyed watching Bowl games on their family room TV. Because we booked a really impromptu trip, I did not read her Rental Contract which indicated there were no bath nor kitchen towels provided. I have never encountered that with a VRBO home, so it struck me as strange. Luckily, Gail contacted a neighbor who lent us some towels as the nearest Walmart was 35 minutes away. Checkout time seems quite early (9 a.m.) especially given the cleanup expected. There is a really nice outdoor fire pit and I guess there are tons of Muskie and other fish in the Flowage. Fun place to stay to get away from the city!

We have rented homes before, and thought if ever we could, we would build it with all the extras. This home has brought our family many good times. We are big dog lovers, so please bring the 4 legged 'kids too'! My husband Rick, has taken this home as his ever lovin pastime, adding neat touches, and making it one of the areas finest. This is the escape we were looking for...perfect vacation home that removes you from all the rat race of the cities. My husband grew up coming to this lake, his parents, owned a trailer at a resort. His stories, of coming to the lake and hanging around the kids, was a very fun experience for him. When we first started looking at properties, we found ourselves coming back to this lake, simply because nothing else compared. Our street is a Penninsula, so we don't have much traffic and can walk our dogs, with no fear, of cars.

Big water views, no stairs to the lake. The fishing here can't be beaten, Fishing off our dock brings in fish...ALL THE TIME!! We built this home, so we added all the special touches. Our builder was recommended to us by a resort owner from this area, and we could not have been more pleased. We wanted a flat piece of property. When we saw this property in such a great area, that was it, we had to have it! This wooded property is just so private and relaxing. Come see for yourself!
