My family (2 teenage boys, me, and my husband) stayed here with my sister, her husband, and her adult, special needs daughter. We all had a great time. The location and view were excellent, and the house was arranged in a way to let us really appreciate the location. The deck was big, had plenty of seating, and wrapped around so we could gather outside for coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening and still have sun cover no matter what time of day it was. We also really enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. There were plenty of rooms for all of us, and they were all very comfortable. The big dining table also fit us all well for meals and for playing games together.
The beach area was nice for exploring, though the water was pretty cold for swimming, even at the end of July. That didn't stop my niece from getting in, though!
Our biggest issue was that we had decided not to cook while on vacation, and we had a lot of trouble finding restaurants to get food from. This seemed to be partially due to Covid, and partially due to the small size of the island. We arrived around 6pm on Monday planning to order in dinner, and soon discovered most restaurants were closed on Mondays, and those that were open closed at 7 or 7:30 and were too busy to take orders (we just got busy signals). We continued to have issues on subsequent nights, even though we did things like showing up in person at a restaurant in Coupeville at 5pm. Even at that hour their wait time was an hour and a half. If we return, we will plan our restaurant visits more carefully ahead of time.
The house, though, was great. We had everything we needed, had some great relaxed family time together, and it was a nice launching point for visiting nearby parks and hiking spots.
