Great beach house for families

Great location for our summer family vacation. The bedrooms are well set up bathrooms clean and very functional. Love the kitchen and patio for gatherings. Beds were comfortable. This is a great place to stay with family to enjoy the beach. The neighbors were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this place

Perfect location

Great time in SD with family and friends. You can walk everywhere from this location. There is plenty to do. Two car garage is a plus. House is not updated but clean and priced appropriately.

Great Location

House is wonderful! Had tons of beach toys, bikes and roomy garage. House in great location, very clean. Plenty of room for our group of 7 especially with outside patio area. We loved it. Anne was wonderful to work with. Highly recommend this wonderful beach house.

We Loved the home. Kitchen very nice and stocked with everything we needed. Great location. Close to many of our favorite Mission Beach restaurants, bars and shops. The garage is large for Mission Beach, we were able to fit our SUV and a car. Parked our vehicles and able to ride bikes everywhere. We would love to return. And Thanks for the prompt refund of our deposit.

Great rental!

This is a great rental, very clean and updated! Anne was very friendly and a pleasure to work with during the rental process. The sleeping arrangements in the house accommodated our group of 8 well, as all of us had beds. However, given the size of the living room (and lack of dining space and seating), I think it would accommodate a smaller group better. We generally stay further south on Mission Beach, but found this location very convenient for us. Overall, we very much enjoyed our experience!

Perfect Beach goers trip!

This place is a perfect location to walk and spend days and nights on the beach. It’s on the border of Pacific Beach and Mission Beach which I like that quieter less crowded in between surfing and swimming area of beach. The Garage was a dream! Two car and laundry area ! Room for bikes and surf boards ball games chairs all provided!!! Beach towels!! Well stocked large kitchen and super clean place! Loved the patio and BBQ dining ! We loved riding the bikes everywhere and actually didn’t drive much on this trip!

Ou New Year's Trip

This was such a wonderful place. What a great location. So close to the beach and boardwalk. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. The place was very clean. We would definitely recommend this place to a friend! So many restaurants in walking distance. The only downside were the door locks, they were extremely difficult to use, which seems to be the common complaint in the guest book at the rental house. This would not keep me from renting the place again.

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay! Great location. Nice home. Downsides for us, the living room area was smaller than what we are used to. Not a lot of room to eat with no real kitchen table. Did not realize there is no master bedroom and all three bedrooms upstairs share one “Jack and Jill” bathroom. My fault for not reading the description thoroughly. Pluses, the outside patio is large with a great “picnic” table. Two car garage for parking which is a big deal down at the beach area. Quiet street. Great price. So overall we had a nice week in SD.

Loved it!!

This home was perfect for our family. We were there to celebrate my son’s graduation from USD. This was so convenient. Grandma enjoyed walking up and down the rows of beach houses each with such a different style. We loved the bikes and the location for long bike rides. It is nicely maintained and so comfortable. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable and easy. Anne is so nice to work with. I would definitely stay here again!! And, yes, it is 120 steps to the beach!! It was nice to sit out front and say hi to all the people walking by and meeting the other neighbors. Loved it all!

Very clean and Ann Javier was very nice

Ann was very nice and the property was clean and well stocked- in my opinion the downstairs area was way too small for our 8 people. The couch only sat 3 people plus one chair and only 3 stools for the breakfast bar, the upstairs was great for all of us. Unfortunately the upstairs shower faucet broke the day we got there and wasn’t fixed until the day before we left which left 8 of us in the downstairs bathroom 😞. Plus the bar-b-que grill had no propane for the 1 night we ate there.

Wonderful family vacation stay

Perfect weekly rental for large variety of groups! Close to everything needed. Lots of added amenities with bikes, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc! Clean and good sleeping arrangements. Problems with toilet that owner spent a lot of time with immediately to get it fixed! The only slight downside was the living room space that only had one couch so not much seating. However, being in San Diego for vacation, we didn't find much need for that room anyway! That would not deter us from staying here again and definitely recommending it to friends. Did find the door locks very hard to work with. Owner VERY pleasant to deal with!

Great location bad neighbor!

The house was great! The neighbor next door was constantly patrolling the street. We Phoenicians travel to Mission to soak up the cool air yearly! The neighbor next door told us to go inside at 10:05 and watched us like a hawk. We are 50 year old women sitting having wine and talking not loud at all and were scolded for sitting outside. It would have been nice to enjoy the patio more but not with that guy lurking around! We heard him screaming at other renters down the way too.

Nice vacation

Nice property near the beach. Conveniently located near restaurants and grocery stores. Hosts were very responsive if we needed anything. The house has three bedrooms—all upstairs. Two of them are convected with a Jack and Jill bath. The third faces the front and has a balcony. The back bedroom faces the drive/alley and can be very noisy in the morning. There is a full bathroom on the bottom floor. Kitchen has all the cooking items and dishes needed. There was a nice garage that just fit our mini van. They had 3 beach cruisers, 2 boogie boards, 2 skimboards, 8 big beach towels, 7 beach chairs and some umbrellas. Washer and dryer was a plus. There is a grumpy neighbor on the west side that will remind you of the quiet hours. We were playing some games with some friends one night and at 9:59PM we heard a voice yell at us telling us it was 10PM and quiet hours. He even called the police on a neighbor one night. We laughed. Our family had a great week. Thank you Anne and her son Tony for letting us use their place.

Nice location but the house needs some updating.

The location was great, just a short walk to the beach, loved having a garage to park the car, Anne was nice to talk with and the description was accurate. House needs some updating though: -Downstairs shower leaked like a sieve out the bottom of the door. This made it difficult as all 6 of us had to share the upstairs shower. -Lack of window screen covers discouraged us from opening windows as not to attract flies inside. This made it hard to cool down the house as there is no AC, only fans. -Window handles are corroded making it hard to unlock and lock the windows. -No lock on the upstairs sliding door, so we decided to move the kids into the other room so they weren't on the balcony without our supervision. -Outdoor shower leaks out the nozzle, apparently already aware though as bucket is catching the drips. -One set of silverware and dishes, had to run dishwasher a few times during our stay. -We found some evidence of controlled substances in/around the home that were not cleaned up prior to our arrival. Concerning had the kids found it before we did.

Wonderful Location, Decent Beach House

My family absolutely LOVED the location of this beach house. Super cute neighborhood & convenience to a beautiful beach! However, the house has needs of some updates. As with any coastal location, updates & regular maintenance is a must. We did experience some frustrations with this home as there are some very basic things that could easily be fixed. I'm talking things like new shower head/faucet in the bathroom, one of the bedroom TVs is broken (with a note that says "Sorry!" Serious? Small LED TVs these days cost less than $200. No excuse). There are also some bigger issues like window handles & door handles that are corroded due to the sea air. Let's get these things fixed, owners! It could easily be a 5 Star location!! Lastly, as a notice to renters, this is no fault of the owners, but don't plan on sleeping in on Tuesday morning. The neighborhood is very tight & compact & the garbage truck will be right under your window, around the corner, and making all sorts of racket from about 7:00am-9:00am. Again, nothing you can do about that but plan on an early Tuesday!!

Best family vacation ever!!!!!

This was a wonderful place for our annual family vacation to the beach. We were close to the beach so we didn't need to worry about bringing everything all at once and could easily make trips back and forth. We utilized the bikes provided to ride around instead of driving. We had a delightful kitchen that was easy and convenient with all the amenities needed for wonderful family meals. The home was convenient and spacious for our family. Anne is a great host and was quick to respond when we needed it. Thank you!

Nice place but a bit small for 7

The location was fantastic, could easily walk to grocery store and shops and restaurants and of course The Beach! The place was super clean! The beds and linen were great. The washer and dryer functioned fine and we're a life saver with 3 kids. They also provided a couple of bikes (super fun to ride on the promenade) and enough boogie boards for all to enjoy. The kitchen also was well equipped. We had 4 adults (Mom, Dad, Grandparents, 2 teenage girls and a 7 year old boy). The 3 bed rooms and 2 bathrooms were well placed and worked out great for our group. The only downside is the living room area is small but we all piled in and simply made it work...in fact it was kinda nice as the teenagers couldn't readily distance themselves so we actually spent more quality time together. All in all was a great stay.

Exactly as advertised

House was in a great location on a very quiet court. We found it to be very clean and well stocked. If there was any downside at all it was that the seating was a bit limited for our group, but it wasn't unexpected as the description clearly spells it out. We were always on the go anyway so it didn't really matter. Anne was great to deal with and we would love to stay here again! Absolutely loved it!

Wonderful vacation home

Anna made the whole process seamless, easy and hassle-free. She had everything prepped and ready to go in the house. From toilet paper to eating utensils to bedding and furniture, we felt like this was our home the moment we stepped into it. It is a beautiful property located so close to the beach and any attractions we could have thought of. We would definitely stay here again.
