Fantastisches Haus in ruhiger Strandnähe! Das Haus ist 2170 Quadratmeter groß und verfügt über 2 riesige umlaufende Veranden, ein zusätzliches großes separates Deck und viel Platz zum Entspannen. Zwei private Strandeingänge sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt! Wir sind nur ein paar hundert Meter vom berühmten Tybee Lighthouse, dem North Beach Grille und allen Annehmlichkeiten in der Gegend von North Tybee entfernt!

Der Raum

Die Renovierungsarbeiten im Dezember 2018 umfassen neuen Anstrich, Flecken auf dem Deck, 3 neue Betten, 3 neue Sofas, neues Zubehör, neue Teppiche, Bettwäsche, Handtücher usw.! Alles was Sie für Ihren Urlaubskomfort brauchen !!!

Wir verfügen über einen Aufzug, mit dem Sie Lebensmittel in die zweite Ebene befördern oder für den Fall, dass jemand besondere Mobilitätsbedürfnisse hat. Wir bitten Kinder, den Aufzug nicht ohne Anwesenheit eines Erwachsenen zu benutzen.

Inbegriffen ist ein Wagen zum Tragen von Sonnenschirmen / Stühlen / Handtüchern zum Strand. Bitte achten Sie darauf, es für den nächsten Gast zu reinigen, wenn Sie verlassen. Wir haben auch ein paar Liegen und Sonnenschirme für Ihren Strandgenuss beigelegt.

Unser Haus ist eine kurze 18 Meile direkt zum River St. in Savannah, so dass Sie das Beste von allen Welten haben (Strand PLUS Savannah!). Auf Tybee Island stehen Uber / Lyft sowie ein Taxi zur Verfügung

Wir sind auch direkt am Highway 80 auf der Nordseite der Insel. Wir sind nur ein paar hundert Meter vom historischen Tybee Lighthouse, dem North Beach Grille und allen weiteren Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in North Tybee entfernt!

Nice location

The property is as described and pictured. But, some of the outdoor areas were not inviting or well maintained - the screens were torn, the back deck had not been swept clean, there was a broken window on the deck with the grill, and there was no clean or comfortable table where we could eat. There were a few plumbing issues (toilet not flushing, no hot water) that the owner was quick to resolve, but our stay was interrupted by 3 handyman/plumber visits.

R&R to the max

The property location was great! Walkable to the beach as well and some shops and restaurants. The more touristy area of Tybee is just a short drive away. As much as we loved the island and the sunrise walks on the beach, we always seemed to find ourselves relaxing on the side porch between adventures. A great place to stay with family or friends

Disability friendly

Amazing house, perfect location for everything we needed. I stayed here with my grandmas who are very limited mobility wise. The elevator was the biggest help, and the house is spacious enough to walk easily with a walker.

Nice big house

We stayed at this home for a week - it is very roomy, the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking, beds and furniture comfortable. It's a quick walk to the beach, although the boardwalk closest to the house was closed. We rented the golf cart as well, and enjoyed using it to get around the island. The only complaint would be that we couldn't find any flashlights or emergency candles when Helene came through and took the power out. We also couldn't find linens for the pull out sofa bed. Otherwise, it was great.

Peaceful Stay at Amazing Property

We spent a peaceful weekend celebrating my husband's 63rd birthday at A Shore Thing. The large, gorgeously decorated home was immaculate and ready for us early! There was room for a large family, but we stayed in the Master bedroom and enjoyed the adjoining Jetted (Jacuzzi) tub. Even though it was a rainy, windy weekend, we still enjoyed the large wrap-around porches on the 1st and 2nd floors, each with ample places to sit and lounge. It was nice sitting and reading with the breeze cutting the warmth and the wind-chimes chiming. We had a small issue connecting to the wifi, but an email to Sean, the host, had the issue cleared up within a few minutes. There was an error on the guidebook website. Not only did he fix it for us, when I checked the site a few days later, I noticed it was fixed on the site as well. That is customer services, but both us and future guests. Oh, I almost forgot how incredibly helpful the house elevator was during our stay. Just before the trip, I sprained my hip. I could have slowly taken the stairs up all flights needed, but the elevator, made life so much easier during our trip. We paid for the optional golf cart access. Even though we ended up not using it due to the weather, it was nice knowing we had that option at a lower priced than renting on the island. It was a very successful mini-vacation at an extremely nice home with any amenity we could wish for. We would stay again and would recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Family hurricane vacation!

We had a great vacation, despite hurricane Debby. We had wonderful communication with Sean and Katie about procedures and safety. The house provided everything we could need… plenty of TP, towels, and space. Location was ideal for exploring the beach during lulls in the hurricane and once the sun came out again. 😁. Only a couple things to note: 1. Garage floods with rain. 2. Air conditioner drips really bad in the garage. 3. We had 8 adults, so we put the extension in the table, that was perfect. However, there are not 8 dining chairs. The stools are too tall for the table. Even some folding chairs in the closet would have been fine. We ended up using the bench from the hall. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Great Location

Great location. We have been going to Tybee for several years. Found the location great as it had quick access to the river beach and north beach. Short walk to Fort Screven beach access and Aquatic center which the littles loved. We found the house layout great for our group. We had two families with 9 people and there was plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. Common areas were great. The wives loved the porches and found them great for a 'hidden' nap from the kids :-) The neighborhood was extremely quiet with low activity which was great for families to get some rest and quiet after a long day of activities.

Family Vacation at Tybee

5 families chose to vacation at Tybee and ours stayed at "A Shore Thing". We had a great time. The house was as advertised. My wife's mother was disabled, so we had chosen this house based on the elevator and it worked great. We had everyone over a couple of times and cooked and played games in the main living area, which is very spacious and everyon enjoyed it. We chose to rent the golf cart and ran around the island mainly to shop and get treats. A close walk from the house was the beach. The beach was not packed and there was plenty of room to setup our Sun Ninja and chairs. Upon returning to the house, we used the outdoor shower to rinse off, very nicely located. I will mention that the beds were great. Everyone was very pleased with how comfortable they were and the great sleep we all had. This was a great stay!!!

Super home in a nice location

Our family, including three adult children, had a great time on Tybee and A Shore Thing was just that. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the northern end of the island. Owners were quick to respond to questions and the golf cart made it super easy (and fun) to get around and saved on parking fees. Great home, super location. Would rent again.

A Shore Thing

Loved this place! After injuring my knee a few months ago the elevator was an amazing asset, very simple to use and for a private elevator it was very smooth. Checkin /checkout was simple, loved the information link for the house with all the detailed info. Simple to the point instructions that didn’t leave you wondering or second guessing on any detail. Beautiful short walk to the beach,gorgeous sunsets, powdery sand, loved using the two access. Very quiet neighborhood, walked to the lighthouse. Went to Savannah for the day. Ate breakfast at The Breakfast Club, good but we did have to pay 8.00 to park. (Seems like Tybee beach shouldn’t charge for parking in the wintertime, just my opinion:). Kitchen was very nice, plenty of room for a larger family. Hot water was amazing and the spa tub was great, never ran out of hot water. One grocery strore, IGA but others across the bridge aren’t that far. We had great weather during the 4 days we were there, only one rainy morning, for Feb great weather, actually got to 70 degrees on day. Would love to return later in the spring or fall. Summer Getaway!

Sean and Katie were amazing hosts. Home was in the ideal location with easy access to a private beach. We came along with our children, another family and furry children. The dog park down the street was amazing. Very friendly neighborhood with quick access to all what Tybee has to offer. The home was fully stocked with towels, laundry and dish soap, ample T.P., glassware, great A/C, and room for our group of 8 + 3 dogs! Wagon and umbrellas were supplied along with beach toys. Would stay here again, next time we visit Tybee!

Peaceful North Beach Property

We enjoyed our stay. The house was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The cookware was good quality, the beds were cozy, the furniture was clean and comfy. There was plenty of space to spread out. The north beach was quiet and peaceful, as always. We would definitely rent this house again.

Everything We Could Want (and more)

We really needed to make sure we had the right property this last vacation given we were coming with Grandparents, an Aunt, Parents, an 8 month old, and 2 dogs :) - we could not have been any luckier than to find this house! The location was perfect with close beach access and the North Beach community is great for all sorts of activities outside of strictly the beach-related stuff. The house itself had plenty of space for the 6 of us (+ 2 dogs). It was very clean and updated, and had an open floor-plan in the main floor which was perfect for communal meals, games to play, etc. The owners were extremely helpful and immediately responded if we had any questions about check-in/check-out, and amenities. If (or I should say, "when") we come back to Tybee, we will definitely be making sure we have a shot to stay here before looking at any other property. Great memories were made, and this house facilitated all of it!

A spring break get away

We stayed here with another family and couldn't be happier. The extra fourth room they have listed made us a little worried-ended up working just fine! Very spacious, clean, and you can't beat the location to the beach! We will definitely be back!

Great weekend getaway with friends

Loved the location close to Savannah. We enjoyed many restaurants…especially Bubba Gumbos for lunch (get there early) and Sugar Shack is a must!!!! We cooked in two nights and had all we needed in the kitchen. Mattresses were very comfortable as was the layout. Great shower pressure! For those with very young children you will have a walk to get to beach across small hills and boardwalks. We enjoyed our morning walks on beach and fireplace at night. Thanks for a great stay.

Wonderful!

We had a great stay at this house. Everything was nice & clean. We had everything we may have needed during our stay such as extra linens & plenty of kitchen items to cook & have full use of the kitchen. The owners were great with communicating & quick to respond. The location was great we were walking distance from the beach. The neighborhood was nice as well and as a group of females we felt safe staying here. We would definitely stay here again!

Hello, we are Sean and Katie! We live in Austin full-time, but travel frequently with our jobs so have a good feel for our favorite parts of the country. We love to ski and go to the beach. We have a dachsund Leroy is our our pride and joy, and we enjoy wine, good food, Dallas Cowboys football and just spending quality time with friends.

When we first came to Tybee Island and Savannah, we just fell in the love with the area. Our daughter is a student at Savannah College of Art and Design so we took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone - purchase an investment home, and provide a place we can stay when we visit our daughter!

The home is beautiful and the location is perfect in a quiet higher end neighborhood that is just steps from the beach. We have since met the neighbors and have become fast friends. There is so much to do on Tybee right around the corner. We hope you love it as much as we do!
